hi!

A lot of it is because boys are raised by women. Boys used to apprentice with their dad or another fatherly figure. Now the men are all working factory, office, or construction jobs. The boys are raised by their mom and the school teachers who are predominantly woman. These woman taught traits they admire in themselves.

Everyone likes to isolate this saying but it is a small part of a bigger picture. Most of what people are saying in this thread sounds like it is conflicting just because it is different parts. You have to have confidence. You can't have confidence if you are faking who you are, but confidence is only part of it. If you are a confident (geek/creep/whatever) it won't help. This saying goes hand in hand with "learn to love who you are" First you need to become the person you want to be, then love …

"Then convince her to get off the drugs" You can't even read your own sentence.

There are way too many people that are on drugs they don't need, but mental illness is not something to fuck with. You don't know her or her medical history. To randomly suggest she'll be fine on St John's Wort is reckless. I'm all for saying "next" and not dealing with crazy, but I would never suggest someone just stop taking a medication they might need.

Try /r/bigmenfashionadvice the end goal is still to lose weight, but I know it helps to not look like a fat slob while you're trying to build the self respect to improve yourself, but it's expensive. Big clothes are more expensive to begin with, and the biggest key is something that fits well. If you try to dress well while losing weight you could easily drop a couple hundred a month in cloths you will only wear for a month. If you have that kind of cash pick a style and get the clothes tailor f…

I just quit a 15 year position because of this. They hired the daughter of someone that worked in another department. She worked as a model on the weekend. When it came to work I split it and said you do this half, she complained to HR I wasn't helping, next day I said okay we will switch and you take the other half. She complained to HR I wasn't helping her. The only way she was happy is if I did all of my half, plus half of her half. I got the lowest score on my performance review for not help…

Some people are allergic to pets. It would suck to get a cat, then meet a girl that is allergic to cats and can't spend the night. Getting a pet just eliminates a portion of your dating pool. I had a roommate leave me with two cats. Had two separate girls turn out to be allergic. Ended up giving the cats away, no more litter boxes, no more runs to the grocery store for cat food. No more getting my earlobe sucked on at random in the middle of the night. If you want a cat because you love cats by …

One of the things I started doing was take 30 min each day and browse /r/jokes not for entertainment but for material. Most of them are crap, but I usually get a few good jokes each day. Some of the ones that are just bad end up coming in really useful when they relate to the situation. After a few months I have a decent arsenal. If someone said tell a joke I'd freeze, but something will trigger the memory so the jokes I tell tend to relate to the conversation. Now I'm the funny guy that always …

If you want to do bodyweight instead of lifting, read Convict Conditioning. More push-ups do little for your looks, you need to do harder push-ups. You also need a routine that is more well rounded.

Spam...He is selling the guides. Not afraid of personal info leaking. If he was honest upfront it might have been worth the money to see, but now I don't have any trust in it.

I was in a bad state. Dissatisfied with everything. Ready to give up. I remember making a mental note that I was never going to find the answer by reading. That night I was browsing the internet out of habit, boredom and despair and I found two things. First was The Red Pill and the second was "No more zero days" The only thing you can change in life is you. Don't try and change things with any other objective than to make yourself better tomorrow than you are today. Don't try to impress other p…

I suggest reading Facing Violence my Rory Miller. He really goes into the fact that even people that have black belts have never prepared for a life and death situation. And talks about levels of violence. A lot of it boils down to risk assessment. Even if you are a billy bad ass sometimes the safest thing is to just hand over the wallet, especially if someone with you could end up hurt. Would you live better with the shame of being mugged or waking up with nightmares about the guy you killed. I…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
