True, and I’d encourage more men to do so, but that doesn’t change the fact that the imbalance will always be there and it can be frustrating to deal with at times. I know the steel-man argument is “there’s lots of shit that women/people have to deal with, get over it” but I rarely see that line of thinking pushed at women who express frustration at not wanting to do traditional gender role shit. Plus men do want to be in relationships. I don’t think expressing frustration at feeling like you mu…

A man is less likely to enter and maintain a successful hetero relationship if he bucks certain gender roles (making the first move, paying for dates, not displaying vulnerability, etc) than a woman is. I am not blaming women for this phenomenon nor do I think they should receive hate. It’s the way it is and it’s going to be this way for quite some time.

What do women bring to the table: Physical and emotional intimacy that I can’t get from my relationships elsewhere. A consistent companion and confident. Exclusivity. Someone funny. If I could get those things outside of a romantic relationship, I wouldn’t be in one. What do I want from women: The above, plus someone who cleans, a bit more appreciation and understanding via their actions, and willingness to change and discuss behavior/action that bothers one another. What’s missing: I think dati…

No it isn’t, but the counterbalance is it takes a village to raise a child. Many of these boys/young men don’t have other male figures to look up to nor do they have peers that they can learn from. This might be an unpopular opinion but your father is supposed to set an example for you, he isn’t supposed to teach you how to pick up women. You should be learning that from the people who are your age or slightly older in your life.

I don’t think we have the societal structure where that would work in the United States.

It’s the equivalent of saying every man is hypersexual because he wants to have sex, often in an attempt to disparage man’s biology.

Sounds like we should make divorce easier then 🙂 People probably go into marriage seeking some sort of fulfillment that can only come internally, once that starts to wear off it goes to hell. OP I believe something similar, marriage is primarily a vehicle for raising children, social status, and economic advancement alongside simplifying legal arrangements and inheritances. You’re supposed to go into because it makes things easier for the person you love, not cause you got pressured into it, you…

We live in a society that often strips women of their agency, and I believe the women are wonderful effect (which I believe you’re attempting to describe) is a part of that. It’s a form of self-objectification to think you’re perfect, that your shit doesn’t stink, etc. I do believe that society plays a role in that and it’s not just women being arrogant. Hell most of this is just women having more opportunities in dating than men combined with social media allowing pseudo-narcissist behavior. Ho…

I don’t think women are intentionally trying to share the top men. I believe that the traits that typically make men attractive (especially personality traits) are often possessed/acquired by men who are much more willing to play the field and have a casual attitude towards dating. Combined with the fact that women view partnered men more favorably (from a general standpoint) and women often exaggerating their relationship status with the men they’re interested in, then you end up with the pheno…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/25 02:32 AM

I do the same thing! It’s hilarious because I have an addictive personality for nearly everything else except alcohol (candy, video games, social media, etc). I’m cutting back cause I want to lose some weight and every calorie counts. I’d definitely be a drunk if alcohol tasted like soda however. If you want to drink less, try focusing on your breathing, and take magnesium/gabba supplements.

I’m going to go an entirely different direction and say given America’s history of self-reliance, rugged individualism, and frontiersman attitude, if men got laid easily they’d probably give even less of shit about having a quasi-socialist state. In fact it’s the opposite, the more secure you are in your standing (economically, socially, romantically), the less likely you are to challenge the status quo. Just because you and I find their arguments and justifications abhorrent, doesn’t mean that …

Which is why I say the most masculine trait is doing whatever the fuck you want anyways. That’s what annoys me a lot of women act as if they don’t police masculinity. “We live in a patriarchy, except all the bad shit women do somehow doesn’t count.” /s If they truly think society is a vacuum and large scale individual choices don’t effect society as a whole, then why the hell do they care what men they’re not attracted to do anyways 🤣

Absolutely agree. Looks are valued more for women but it’s plenty of women I’d knock down in their 30s/40s.

Do you have any books or reading material on this? I’m glad you mentioned the “Jews” and “bourgeoisie” because those are very much right and left boogeymen respectively which may point to a class/wealth issue, but I don’t think that quite explains it. Perhaps there’s also the relative ease of being able to move into a different social class via marriage/sex for women, as supposed to men who almost entirely cannot do that. Maybe that’s cause for some frustration in a much more sexually liberated …

Can you have a friendship with someone you’re open to sleeping with? I’d say yes. I do think a lot of men will have to make intentional choices to prevent the phenomenon you’re describing. I typically know who I want to date, and who I don’t as soon as possible so it’s easier. I have some friends that are women that I wouldn’t want to date for a variety of reasons (weight, job, age, neurodivergence). If I wanted to date them we wouldn’t be friends, maybe acquaintances instead.

I think this is two factors at work: Red Pill is about accepting women for what they are (AWALT) and using certain strategies to successful with women (spinning plates, abundance mentality, dread game). You going monk mode and abstaining from women isn’t doing red-pill the right way. It’s like a nutritionist watching someone lose weight with an incredibly shitty diet. Society runs on people doing stuff they don’t want to do to get something from others. For men it’s working a job to get money to…

No, that’s why I don’t care about the lowering birthrate, women being single, nor do I imply they’re going to be cat ladies. I’d rather be alone than with someone who isn’t attracted to me. As long as you’re comfortable with the fact that being picky means you’ll have less options, it’s all good! “Choose better” means a lot of us are going to be left out.

I’m glad you haven’t had to experience that! Not a good feeling but I’ve heard it from others as well. You truly aren’t missing out I swear, it was a weird mind fuck to watch them come around to falling for me and I’m like: “😳I thought this was a casual thing 😳”

It’s probably that. I’m 5’7, been told to my face by a lady I’m too short to seriously date right after sleeping with her 😭😭😭. I had a friend who was incredibly attractive at 5’4 and his stories were similar. Always the side dude.

Fr it’s legit a product of dudes being around each other all the damn time + competition for women. Women are catty as shit to each other doesn’t mean they’re all fucken self-hating misogynists. They just want what that the other woman has or think she has.

There definitely is an over representation of men in positions leadership and power. Particularly old, rich men. I’d say that’s inherently patriarchal in nature. Whether that’s fair, the natural state of things, or better than the alternatives is the question we seem to be bumbling through generation after generation.

Your opinion is a bit more extreme than mines but it all boils down to scarcity. Whoever has more options tends to be less invested and interested. For biological and cultural reasons that tends to be women. It may be me but all this shit seems to be too much effort. If by date you mean have sex with? Sure! Be in a relationship with, honestly no. I have some lovely friends but I’m not attracted to them and part of that is them having some of the traits you’ve described.

I plan on getting it now so of course! Hair transplant and jaw surgery here I come. Gyno surgery, permanent lasering of my eyebrows too since I’m not paying for it. Maybe get some chin implants, blepharoplasty, and a septoplasty to finish things off. Wouldn’t touch limb lengthening at all.

Are you me? I’ve been trying to get back into more alt/grungy looks but I work a white collar job. I miss the ripped jeans/shirts, bold colors and graphics. Don’t get me started on the accessories and dyed hair 😅 There’s a bit of envy there watching women be able to show more of their personality through their clothing and it’s socially accepted. Especially when some motherfuckers think I can’t dress 😂

My main disagreements: Focusing on the top 20% is unhealthy. Find a good man that you’re attracted to that you get along with. Most women would rather date a man who isn’t in the top 20% than be alone for the rest of their lives. That’s a fair definition of the top 20% but there’s always going to be people who weigh the categories differently. It feels a bit…narcissistic and elitist? I can’t imagine a society like this surviving for long. You still need average people who have a stake in a socie…

I disagree. I promise you, you’ll have more success as a young, broke man who’s attractive than an average looking older man with money. A lot of men aren’t attractive so they don’t have that type of success in their youth to compare against. Hell most of these gender war debates boil down to that specific resentment that I’m implying. Also, being fat isn’t a desirable trait but I think there’s way more men attracted to fat women than they let on. Societal judgment is a strong deterrent.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 12:30 PM

My advice: get advice from people who are similar to you who have what you want in life. Listen to everything else with a healthy dose of skepticism. The reality is that if you’re not in the elite or top 20% or whatever you want to call it, you’re going to have to put the work in and YOU as a man have to decide if the juice is worth the squeeze based on your priorities in life. Some men think it is, cool. Some men think it isn’t, cool.

I have two good friends that have girlfriends. I had more, but I stopped being friends with them because I didn’t think the relationships were the healthiest for either party (I had either slept with my female friends or wanted to). I don’t dislike my family but I don’t have a strong bond towards them. I see them when I see them. Yes. It’s easy for me make low stakes, casual acquaintances but I freeze up and shy away when it’s to more intimate friendships or romantic relationships. I don’t enjoy…

I generally don’t approach women unless I’m at concerts or festivals. I’m surprised to see women complaining about it. I figured they’d prefer it with social media being a thing.

Once again, you can say that about literally ANYTHING. You’re applying someone’s actions in an extreme scenario and use that as some sort of gotcha you retroactively apply to everyone else. If a starving vegetarian eats meat to survive that’s not suddenly a gotcha. That’s an extreme scenario that people normally wouldn’t find themselves in.

I think the government will increase the number of immigrants and drive towards Automation/AI before it gets too bad in America. There’s also the flip side, I don’t want to have kids with someone I don’t want to. I don’t want to have kids with someone who feels like they were forced into it. Most men want to be desired, even if we may be more pragmatic.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/24 02:22 PM

I agree with the idea that it’s not as discriminatory as MRAs tend to think it is (we live in a society). However we should invest more in social services (therapy, counseling, homeless shelters, alternate schooling/vocation, male abuse shelters) that help men as well. I feel like men are treated as this amorphous blob that don’t get serious needs addressed. You’re seen as a walking paycheck and that’s not right.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/24 02:15 PM

Man I’m not about to pay for y’all kids so wrap it up, have her get an abortion, or pay the damn child support. Don’t have unprotected sex with women you don’t want to be the mother of your child 🤷🏾‍♂️

I’m not too sad about being single or having no options because there are aspects of being in a relationship that I don’t like, and being in a relationship with an abusive person would increase those aspects. Yes it’s a silver lining. I don’t have a desire for terrible people to be attracted to me. Plus I like having money, something my friends in relationships don’t have 😄
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/24 05:30 PM
2

Seeing as I hate working and would like to retire before I’m 40, I don’t want kids. I’ll probably get roped into it by my future wife but it makes no sense to me. I’d rather spend that money and time on myself instead of doing a half-assed job of being a parent.

Thought about it for 2 minutes and this is what I came up with: It comes off as overly pragmatic and logical to women in a way that’s off-putting. Women don’t want to be with men other women don’t want.

I don’t feel like bi/queer women immediately disqualify me for being short the way that many cis women do; but i still have to meet their other standards.

Yes but it’s rarer than men. Hell I work with a woman that I don’t find attractive at all, but I’m sure she receives attention.

“Other people would do it too if they could” shouldn’t justify poor behavior. Monkey branching is still wrong, even if most men don’t do it cause they can’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 11:17 AM

I think there’s definitely a self improvement trap that a lot of men fall into of focusing on money/gym instead of asking women out and getting better at that; but women will definitely let you slide on not being as cool or “chadlike” if you have a stable career, good head on your shoulders, etc. once you hit around the late 20s/30s. Whether or not that’s a good deal… In my opinion most men don’t get better the women got worse.

I don’t think men objectively make better company. I think you find men more relatable and easier to talk to than women.

Yeah I think if prostitution was legal (in the US) and men weren’t so asocial most wouldn’t date, so I agree.

Do most men want to date someone they can’t talk about their problems or feelings with? Sounds like hell.

I don’t think it’s maturity but men tend to have less options when they’re younger than when they hit their 30s. Combine that with single men being generally less satisfied with their singleness than single women, then I could see why there’s more men willing to be in a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship (or sex, depending on how cynical you are). Which could be seen as maturity, but I’m not sure if that is.

They’re being purposefully obtuse. “Chad” doesn’t have to fuck these women and just cause these women aren’t fucking “Chad” is no guarantee they’ll be fucking Joe Blow. But criticizing men or holding them accountable doesn’t matter to them so here’s what you end up with.

I’d rather have people be alone than resent their partners. It’s not their fault YOU couldn’t land Prince Charming. However, being attracted to your partner is important and I think women are apprehensive about dating a man who has no other options/comes off as desperate.

I believe there’s a significant portion of men that date mainly to have access to sex and if prostitution was legal most of these men would exit the dating scene which would be a net improvement. Unfortunately America will never legalize it. There’s too many groups that oppose it.

My guess is you’re probably too worried about the negatives and don’t know how to close the deal, so to speak. Either that or you’re not meeting as many people, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Also, I wouldn’t think of it as scheming, more so hoping for a particular outcome.

I’ve stopped dating due to being unattractive along with needing to get my life together. I miss the companionship and sex but it’s nice having more money and dealing with less stress. That being said, I think being in a good relationship beats being single.

I think the number of women having casual sex is correct, the number of men those women are having sex with is not. The average woman is not fucking 30+ men, but most women have had sex with an attractive man who was having sex with other women. Women aren’t going to go out and fuck an ugly/average guy because they can’t get “chad”, they’ll just not sleep with anyone; men will do the opposite. This is why women have lower amounts of casual sex and don’t cheat as much as men. It has nothing to do…

You funny 🤣 I was going to put in a point about ai girlfriends for that but I didnt. I don’t think AW is going to be driven by men trying to get away from women but still wanting kids. Not really? One of my former friends asked me if I thought the girlfriend of a mutual friend was a creamer and it made me uncomfortable. I disagree with the cheating but I think a lot of people don’t realize how much more bitter and unattractive you will become if all you do is think about someone getting one over on you (cheating, being taken for granted, etc). You’re setting yourself to have an antagonistic relationship with anyone you love and you will drive away anyone with common sense.

Yep that relating part is key, go where people can understand you and stop trying to fit square pegs in round holes. This is for everything not just neurodivergence. I had to go through this myself. I’ve never been officially diagnosed with autism or anything outside of ADHD when I was younger, but my first time going to a convention I was like “these are my people” pretty good sign in my opinion lol.

As much as I hate it, networking is important in all aspects of life. You’ll probably find someone, but it will be harder than meeting someone through your social circle or hobbies that put you around like minded people. If you’re average looking the best thing you can do is become known in a community around something. You don’t have to be the best, you don’t have to be best friends but people should know who you are. “How is someone going to date you if they don’t know you exist?”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/23 02:30 PM

Yep. The issue is they’re usually not attracted to the friendzoned guy. But I don’t know if you can force attraction, I think men have lower standards (and lower opinions of ourselves) so it’s easier for us to take the worst option and deal with it.

This feels very Nietzschean. Are you implying that there’s a level of unresolved homoeroticism that men possess?

Right, dating someone ≠ preference. I’ve dated women that don’t like the fact that I’m short, meaning there’s something else keeping them there. Whether that’s looks, money, personality…it still stands that men are much more variable in terms of what they are attracted to.

Being fiends with women is cool, you just got to be honest with yourself. My close friendships with women started to get awkward and uncomfortable because I was the only guy in a lot of these groups and I was attracted to many of these women. So when they started getting into serious relationships things got kind of weird and I didn’t know where I stood. But most of these people were cool and they did wonders for my social circle. It’s that I was viewing these friendships as a natural progressio…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 03:07 PM

I’ve been trying to figure it out how to phrase this, but you explained it perfectly. Men would look much better if it was socially acceptable for us to wear makeup, fake hair, fake beards, shoes to make us taller, etc (not that we necessarily want to). I’d also say that men tend to look at average women and say they’re cute, women tend to look at average men and say they’re average.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/23 09:44 PM

I forget that it’s around 100k in here. The biggest thing is how mainstream it gets. If we hit 250-500k I think it’s cooked.

How long until this subreddit ends up getting banned? I’ll give it 3 years or less.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/23 05:18 AM

Women. Massive amounts of attention, social-proofing, and the women are wonderful effect increase expectations of what they aim for in a partner. Men be on bullshit too but when the rubber hits the road most of them take what they can get.

Because most men don’t have the options, social network or inner validation to step away and move on from women. It’s very difficult for men to feel complete and validated outside of being in a relationship with a woman or sleeping with women.

You have to decide that for yourself. For some people there is no point. Everything in life is transactional. Just because something is transactional does not mean it is antagonistic and resentment filled.

The phrase “it’s not so much that you got better it’s that she got worse” comes to mind. I don’t believe most men have a preference for someone who has kids from a previous relationship. If you’re dating one, it’s probably because you’re relationships in your 20s didn’t work out (you’re in your 30s), or she’s the best option you have. Which is fine, but there’s a significant time and money cost that comes from raising a child along with a relationship that could end at any moment. It’s a lot mor…

I’ve started dating before but it’s been a mix of casual sex with not that attractive woman and visiting escorts. I’ve only had one relationship so far and that was 4 years ago. So you could say I’ve given up. The reasons are that I’m not attractive, I’m neurodivergent, and I don’t receive much attention from the opposite sex. On top of that I’m so lazy and disinterested in the social aspect of dating. So I’m just saving money, working on my career, and understanding emotional intelligence. Not …

It depends on the age gap. Do what you want and accept people will judge you for it. Personally I find it odd to want to be in a relationship with a woman that’s half your age. I could understand fucking a hot twenty year old, but marrying someone half your age appears juvenile to me.

I think one thing chronically online people get right is that most men are less physically attractive than the think they are. I also believe that a lot of men think having a good personality or a good job automatically equals having a physicality attractive trait and that’s generally not true.

I agree with him. One of my life goals is to make enough money to pay to see sex workers on a consistent basis instead of spending my time doing the casual sex thing as a below average to average man. It’s a “convenience fee” if you will. At this point I don’t make enough money to consistently see sex workers or deal with the risk of a soliciting prostitution charge. You are absolutely correct. We’re still a patriarchy. I’d also argue that the reason it doesn’t appear so at times in the US is because men center their lives around getting validation from women and it’s less the other way around.

I look at the traits of an average person in a country where someone lives and compare them against that. What’s the height, weight, and race of these people? Online dating apps, social media, and the expenses involved in dating are the biggest changes really. On your observation college is the easiest place to meet women. You have a large amount of women in the same age as you that you interact with on a regular basis. People don’t realize how much that familiarity makes dating easier. Once you leave college you’re not interacting with as many women as before on a consistent basis. I’ve said it before, if you go to college for four years and can’t fi…

Ehh. Better to figure out your mechanic can’t fix your car before they take the engine out. To that end, it’s not even about whether being decent looking does or doesn’t matter, it’s about it being better to face chance of the rejection early instead of wasting your time waffling about.

The latter I’d say. I’ve been friend-zoned and I’d say my biggest issue is I don’t know how to escalate and wait too long. From now on I’m trying to avoid going the friend route and just let women know from the jump that I’m attracted to them as soon as possible.

I’m not saying you’re the same guy, but a lot of men will be quick to dismiss a women claiming she picked the “wrong guy”, and in the same breath complain that she made you wait for sex as a vetting strategy to see if you’re the “right guy”. It’s creating a position in your head where you’re always the victim instead of self reflecting and just choosing to be alone if you don’t like the options you’re presented with.

There’s nothing a woman gains from listening to some guy that they don’t want to have sex with complain about being sexless. They are comparing themselves to women and men they perceive as better than them. Their near-peers if you will.

Okay ugly women do exist and people have to stop acting as if they don’t. But at the same time we gotta be real, the bar to be considered ugly as a man is a lot lower than it is for women and as such there’s more “ugly” men than there are “ugly” women. I’m really trying to answer this but all I can think is marriage would be the last thing on my mind at 18 as an attractive woman. Going off your prompt you’d have to be pretty damn exceptional. I’m 18, plan on this being a long-term relationship with the potential of marriage and I expect to be a stay at home mom? That man would have to be a unicorn. Just me being that young would raise my standards or expectations through the roof I’d imagine. Around 25 I’d be a bit more grounded I imagine.

I’d say that’s true to an extent. If you got laid in high school or college, you probably can get laid now, but I do think women’s standards get a lot higher and you have to try harder cause that ‘in-group’ trust isn’t there. You're just a completely random stranger.

It just looks like it all sucks and appears to not be enjoyable. I’m generally not interested in dating at all outside of sex, but I don’t want to date just to have sex as that seems dishonest, manipulative, and a huge waste of my time. Ugly people have to exist if beautiful people do. From a data side of things, most men and women are average. From an anecdotal side of things I’d say most women are on the above side, and most men are on the below side. Including myself.

I think you handed that well. It’s human to find other people attractive but if you cheat it’s because you either wanted it and (or) lack impulse control. It’s scary how so many people don’t realize that.

I don’t know why I think traveling for a mail-order bride is odd but prostitution is okay to me. Although i will say I don’t see the point in traveling for sex tourism if you live in a place where prostitution is legal. Wish it was legal in America already. Though I’d probably have no money if it was.

I’d say I’m purple-pilled but more cause of the black than red. My opinions: Looks matter much more than the average person thinks, most women and men are settling for each other, and humans aren’t as special as they like to believe. However, I dislike the concept of “leagues and looksmatches” and some people pay too much attention to all that. How you make someone feels is what matters in the end :)

It’s a lot harder for men. I hope you’re already this type of person (cause I hate implying that a man should change his personalities and hobbies to get laid) but if you aren’t my recommendation is to go to lots of concerts, bars, clubs and raves. You’ll probably have a better chance of casual sex in those scenes. Putting that you just want something casual on Tinder is not a good idea. Much better to keep it vague, and go on cheap dates that involve alcohol/drugs as fast as you can with your m…

Horrible. My dad is an stubborn, publicly admitted cheater and my mother is a mean-spirited, domineering woman. My counter-argument: men have much of a less in group bias towards other men and we don’t virtue signal to protect random men as often as women tend to do. I have no issue admitting men can be, and often are shitty people.

I believe that women think I am relationship material and while I don’t hate it, it’s depressing to me because I feel as though the implication is that I’m not as attractive, don’t have options, or that im a “nice guy”. I’m pretty cynical, you’d probably have to change what you mean by “get men”. Most women can get fucked on by a wide variety of men. Hell I have friend who’s 300 pounds and autistic, her tinder is always full. So I’d say women that aren’t able to get and keep desirable men aren’t too different from their men counterparts: fat, autistic, overly masculine, unconfident, poorly groomed, unadventurous, and/or ugly. Bonus points if their friends are more attractive than them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/23 05:04 AM

I think the type of men that struggle with dating on this subreddit skew on the younger side and their women counterparts don’t care about money as much as older women do. That’s not to say they don’t care at all but I think status would be weighed a lot higher. Maybe around 35 it will change but who knows.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/23 04:54 AM

It’s real. But it’s the man’s responsibility (not fault) to not stay in a situation like that and it’s the woman’s responsibility to let him down easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/23 04:50 AM
2

The main reason I don’t think highly of casual sex is because I’m not able to have as much as I’d like or as much as women are able. I don’t think large experience gaps between two people are good when it comes to relationships. It seems like in the post online dating world that gap is getting wider and wider. That’s not to say having a bunch of random sex is good or that it will have no effect on you.

😂 fair. To your point I don’t see why either men or women want kids this day and age. If your a woman being a mother basically becomes your whole identity and you have to deal with so many health issues and the emotional burden of raising a household largely falls on you. If you’re a man the level of responsibility you have ramps way the fuck up especially if you are the main financial provider, with all the stress that comes with that. And this is for 18 years?!? Fuck that.

For ME personally, I’d say it’s a combination of 3 and 4. I wouldn’t even say women’s standards are that high, really the killer is that women have so many more options than men. That leverage has to come into play somewhere right? I think men put a lot of effort into having casual sex when it most likely won’t be consistent and it’s a crapshoot. Too early in the morning but I’ll give it a shot. I think the bar is low if she finds you attractive, but I’m not sure if most women find most men attractive unlike the reverse. I think that women view most men as neutral or blank before whatever actions a man takes to increase or decrease their standing; and I think most men hate that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/22 01:18 PM

I think your answer depends on what you value. For myself I’d say freedom, nothing annoys me more than something saying I must do something because of a social obligation that I don’t agree with. Because that’s my answer I try to not chastise others for making the same choice. However I’m young and not as tethered to society as someone who’s older who may view responsibility as more important.

Women definitely ain’t shit but let’s be real most men don’t have OPTIONS so it’s not like they saints either. Men and women cheat at roughly the same rates despite the huge fucking disparity in options.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 02:45 AM

And that’s why it’s absurd if you spend too much time worrying about it. OP, think of it less as leveraging and more of playing the cards you were dealt. Sex can be and will always have the potential to be transactional. With this fact, there will always be men who leverage money, security, personality, looks to get laid. On the flip side there will be women who leverage sex for money, security, emotional support and a myriad of other benefits. The list goes on and on. It’s life.

No. I’m definitely in the minority but i think it’s odd to want to date/sleep with women that are 20 years younger than you. To directly answer your question however, I’d still say no. The power imbalance might lead to the relationship falling apart down the line, but I’d have no plans on “trading her in for a new model”. Honestly going off demographics, prostitution is damn near already that in America if we keeping it real…you don’t see too many white women in it as a percentage for a reason.

Thinking I may move closer to the city in the new year. This location is nice but there’s barely any young people to interact with when I go out to eat, drink, or have fun. It’s wild the only place I consistently see large groups of people in their 20s is in the gym. The perils of suburbia.

What it would look like is the population plummeting. But I’ll attempt to answer. I think that making prostitution legal, attempting to limit porn usage, and integrating some sort of review/feedback system for dates on OLD would make sense. The implementation of all of this would be very difficult however. You could go further but I think this is the most realistic attempt to achieve equity without too many unforeseen consequences.

Yeah that really sucks, i really hate how oversexualized Black and Asian people are and I feel like it’s only getting worse due to porn. I’m a man and I’ve always been consistent about railing against the whole “bbc” trope because it’s so toxic to me. But I think a lot of black men in those spaces equate fetishization to attraction so it’s a tough battle to fight.

For dating down, there has to be a critical mass right? What happens when the juice isn’t worth the squeeze for 50% of men? I’ve been very vocal about society not collapsing but I definitely feel that we are worse off. I think sexual and economic inequality are going to do a number on us. It’s been very interesting to see South Korea elect a president that’s explicitly anti-feminist for example. Society is a pendulum, swinging back and forth.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 01:21 PM

Yep. Value is determined by what others are willing to do acquire something, not just yourself. Which is why men are perpetually going to have to do more to get less. And why I brush off most of the negative labels some women attach to men who struggle (he’s a neckbeard, incel, misogynist). They don’t have to do that type of work so they don’t understand. I think the big issue here is there are men who enjoy the second shift nature of dating(or don’t mind it as much), and men who don’t and would…

Someone made a really good point about the women on this subreddit most likely skewing older and that makes sense to me. Outside of being honest and trying your best to clearly communicate your desire, you cannot control other’s feelings. Is a woman a jerk for ‘friend-zoning’ a dude? Apply the same answer to your situation and there you go.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/22 04:48 PM
29

This. It’s crazy that people don’t realize this. If a woman has had negative experiences with both hot and average dudes, it makes more sense for her to pick the more attractive one. Especially if she’s just looking for casual sex. Also, having less options doesn’t make you more nice, grateful or appreciative. I’d wager the opposite tends to happen, as judging from incels/fds.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/22 02:50 PM

Oh I definitely want to be part of hookup culture. Unfortunately only a small subset of women find me attractive, most of whom probably want a relationship. So I’ve been paying for it when I can, and going out to bars, gym, movies to distract myself from the fact that I’m not able to participate. Maybe I’ll get lucky, who knows. That being said I have no plans on getting into a relationship. Relationships are a lot of work, I’d rather just have sex and I prefer the variety and lack of commitment…

/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/22 06:49 PM

This! The big problem is that casual sex, relationships, and dating have been merged into this weird soup where the merits of one or the other are constantly being weighed against another but people are forgetting they’re different. I wonder if in the past there was a clearer separation of the three. I don’t think there was but technology didn’t allow you to hold onto people like it does now. A lot of men get upset that another man got sex from their woman easier, but my questions are often: did…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/22 06:26 PM

Because like with men, that comes with a lot backlash that women would prefer to avoid. You can make the argument that women are perhaps more sensitive to judgment, but I think men can be the same in other areas.

It does, I tell my friends all the time I’m not sure if all this emphasis on casual sex is good. The only thing is society tends to assign positive attributes to men that are able to sleep around, with women it seems to be neutral or negative. I think the same thing and I do feel bad for women because it is so easy for them; imagine if food was free, it’d be much harder to stay healthy. I know women that have racked up 30+ partners in two years and I’m like “you know a lot of men are going to th…

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it. I’m single right now but I had real bad issues comparing myself to my gf which resulted in the disintegration of our relationship. I used to be in counseling but I might go back cause you made some really good points. The comparison game comes from low self-esteem in my opinion. And it’s funny cause you see how ridiculous it is when you put yourself in the other person’s shoes, but it’s so hard to see things objectively.

More so geared towards the envying or being jealous that your partner was able to have these experiences (casual sex) and you largely weren’t. I think that’s what a lot of men’s complaints boil down to. I’d include myself in that at times. Though I will say it does sound so childish typing it out.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 10:31 PM

The second paragraph is so true! I’ve noticed that my friends act as if it’s the worst thing in the world for me to find them physically attractive. Which is why if you have any inkling of physical attraction it’s better to just ask for whatever it is you want so at least you know where you stand. It’s much easier to be friends when you know what the boundaries are and can shift that attention to other women. It’s annoying when women want to develop relationships from friendships then act offend…

Oh absolutely, young inexperienced man here myself. And experience will be the best teacher for myself and most of the men on this subreddit. You can’t theorycraft everything, nor should you use theories/statistics as an excuse to never try.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/22 02:03 PM
29

Right yes exactly! Now of course self-improvement is good, and it may lead to better partners. But from my own experience it’s very easy to use the need for self improvement as an excuse to not try at dating. There’s no pinnacle of self-improvement that removes all possibility of rejection, dating isn’t a video game.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/22 01:57 PM

I think a lot of men on here suffer from low self-esteem which leads to the insane opinions I see. but I also think it’s a slippery slope to fall into what I call the constant self improvement trap. There’s billions of awful people in relationships, you shouldn’t have to go into a self discovery phase just to find a girlfriend or get laid. Especially when these things are somewhat important for our psyche.

Didn’t get any advice from dating other than don’t get a girl pregnant. In my parents defense I do think most dating advice should be learned from your peers. If you want success gravitate towards those who are succeeding. I wish they would’ve told me that women do care about looks, and dating is a numbers game at the end of the day. The quicker you get over rejection the easier it gets.

Oh this just made my day, thank you! 😂 And yes! I read this comment in a British accent and it was funny. Are you British? To your point, I’d rather just find someone else. I’ve met some cool women but I prefer to have some distance from people who rejected me. The last two people in particular it’s pretty clear they’re not interested. Oh well.

Ugh that’s sad. This is why it’s always better to lead with what you want, and why it will never be a bad choice. Don’t do the get to know her better before asking her out, get to know her on the date or in the bedroom. I hate how self-sacrificial some men have become.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/22 11:47 AM
2

I understand subtlety is important, and I’m trying to get better at flirting; But I’ve always had this mindset of if they wanted to they would, and someone else most likely does, so why mince words when wanting to hookup with someone? Oh man, it all feels very performative and ritually at times. Does anyone else feel that way?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/22 11:40 AM
3

That’s crazy, with my girl friends it’s been the opposite. But I understand, I’m not going to jump through more hoops to date white women when I could just date black women who seem to be more open, and who’d I prefer to date anyways. That’s why I don’t really complain too much about it, even if I can find it discouraging at times ya know? Your reality kind of becomes your normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 03:57 PM
1

That’s very unfortunate to hear and frustrating that you have to go through that. The family aspect makes me very uncomfortable to get in a relationship with someone who is not black. Is it similar dating other black folks or are you solely talking about dating outside your race in this aspect? I ask cause I know colorism is a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 03:17 PM
3

I can’t deal with the porkers 🤣🤣🤣 I do like that having an ass is more of a thing now for the girls, even though black women been had that for the most part. I can appreciate a nice thick physique I just don’t like things too sloppy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 01:25 PM
8

It’s probably higher than that percent for me but you’re right! I could be below average, I’m already short. What I meant is that race is a filter that’s applied more against men than women of color. I’ve noticed most of the white women that find me attractive are bigger…if you’re a black guy you most likely know lmao.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 01:07 PM
27

Right! I’m black too, it’s generally not my preference to interracially date but I’m going to let race stop me from finding love or sex. With that said, it’s frustrating when 50%+ of women in general won’t give you a chance off the bat because of your race; that’s without even dealing with attraction issues you may face from your own race group. I think that’s something women are missing from the conversation. They’re always going to have it easier than the men in your group. Yes black women are…

But if I have no sympathy for a middle-class black woman, who grew up nowhere near that, idolizing that type of behavior and getting knocked up by a dude that fits the hood dude stereotype. Miss me with that bs. It’s crazy how some women don’t see the nonsense.

It’s frustrating seeing my much more attractive friends not have to be this funny jokester trope character because of their appearance. Or they’re not boxed into it like I am. They’re taken much more seriously and enthusiastically without having to joke all the time.

My mantra of all the ppd issues is that men see women as interchangeable and women see men as replaceable. This is the hell that is dating and everyone has to overcome it. The issue is that often as a man you have to win over women. You don’t really have the luxury of choice that women have so you have to put in orders of magnitude more effort. Yes, like lifting heavy shit it gets easier, but it breeds certain dynamics. These dynamics have always existed in society(nor do I think they’re always …

Right. People conveniently forget the notion of a sausage party even though it’s been relevant in our culture for years. Being friends with men who also have no girl friends and are in the same boat as you, isn’t going to get you any pussy. We can acknowledge that instead of gaslighting.

There’s two big issues with this. We don’t have a good grasp on what average is, nor will you be able to apply that objectively. To stir the pot, are people of color in America considered Average? The only group in this country that has a majority is White Americans…. That’s a good point. I’m not sure if you’re versed, but you sound like you are. How are things with fentanyl being more prevalent in these subcultures? Care to go in detail? That stuff scares the shit out of me and I see a lack of testing from club/rave goers.

Exactly. drunk goggles is crazy and drunk people can’t technically even consent so if you’re both drunk 🤷🏾‍♂️

I get where you’re coming from but the hope is that you’re also drunk and/or high. There’s more ambiguity.

Go out to places where people commonly drink and do drugs, then drink and do drugs at those places.

It’s a lottery, I will say working on yourself does give you better odds. Off topic but what is ‘grey pill’? I’ve never seen that before.

It’s really weird because basically everything you’ve said I agree. The simplest phenomena is that there’s a reason a female Grindr doesn’t exist. Listening to women talk about dating other women list out the same exact grievances men talk about is hilarious and cathartic. As to why you get crucified? My guess is that women don’t like being called out(even though it’s not even calling out) and both men and women would prefer we stop complaining, shut the fuck up, and work on ourselves. Which fai…

Right. Once again, most people don’t live in a vacuum. And don’t forget friends! I’m fine not being in a relationship but being the only single one in your friend group can be rough, especially as people start tying the knot. I’m dreading that already….
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/22 02:46 PM

That’s easier said than done, most men have a vested interest in having children, and relationships are a human need and that often includes romantic ones. I’m never going to encourage anyone but myself to give up. I do think that unattractive men that struggle should find a distraction from the shit-show that is dating from time to time. Maybe something similar to cutting/bulking strategy. I do think that society shouldn’t try to hide how difficult dating will be for them. But the hamster wheel…

Have been diagnosed with ADHD, and believe that I am on the spectrum(though somewhat mild). It’s been interesting. I’d say it really boils down to how you look, and how good you’re social skills are. For me I’m about a 4/5 (by the real world’s standards) so I’m not hideous and I don’t act the way media portrays autistic/adhd people. However I do talk too much when it comes to things I’m really interested, prone to interrupting mid-conversation, and have a hard time regulating my voice/intensity …

Yeah. It sounds hard but honestly 90% of time you stop initiating everything and the friendship dies.

It’s hard to explain, it’s just like performing any other action for me. I don’t get that invested from sex, especially if it’s from someone I don’t know all that well. On the other side, I don’t understand how people aren’t able to separate love from sex. You can’t just want to sleep with someone you think is cute? I personally feel like that’s a cop out that women give unattractive men but that’s just me coming from a different end of the spectrum 🤷🏾‍♂️ Now sex can deepen something that’s alre…

Absolutely not. I think both my parents would’ve been relatively successful on tinder and looked past each other. That would’ve been for the best but unfortunately I am here.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/22 08:32 PM
1

It depends, I generally don’t go out of my way to be friends with women I want to sleep with that don’t feel the same. In the past I’d be much more distant with girls that didn’t want the same sort of relationship I wanted, with the exception of a few people. Friendly but not friends. It’s easier for me that way.

Well I’m black too and prefer dating within my race. That’s true about the percentage part but luckily for me black women don’t marry out as much as women from other races do. I got hope. But after reading all your paragraphs I’ve been thinking about the average and I’m dismayed 🤣 I most likely gotta date a broke black woman with no credit, student loan debt out the ass, blonde weave, with a kid and a fucked up Nissan Altima that ain’t paid off yet 😭 got it, sound like all the women from my home…

I’ll just say if I could build a wife she’d be something like this. Physically: 5’4-5’7, dark skin, small titties, fat ass, nice smile, wears little to no weave, and between 120-160 pounds. Emotionally: Funny, patient, caring, and curious. Irreligious. Interested in arts and the humanities. I prefer women that are more on the introverted side. What do women bring to the table< Some 🐱 what do you want them to bring?< Hopefully she brings some good head and some great 🐱. I need that but also I want them to bring…themselves. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a criteria, but it’s not a checklist of things she must have or else it’s a dealbreaker, that’s more something women do in my experience. Patience, kindness, work-ethic, sense of humor, and intellectual curiosity are what I’d want the most.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 08:44 PM
4

I don’t believe all women practice hypergamy but in the spirit of your question I’m angry about it because no matter how hard I try I won’t be the best. There’s always the potential of a better option that she leaves me for, assuming i even get to score with her in the first place. I’m too short, wrong skin color, wrong personality, blah blah blah you get it.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/22 04:06 AM

Fair enough but even with women that want to fuck you, as a man you’re still going to have to take initiative; so we’re back to square one. I’ve only had two women initiate something with the purpose of sleeping with them, and I did want to sleep with them at all at the time…so yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 09:37 PM
1

Oh both definitely can be shady the question was directed towards answering about women however. For men in particular the whole pretending to want a relationship to fuck is shady as hell. I do think society tells women that most men ain’t shit but it’s less the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 09:35 PM
2

I get where you’re coming from. Most of the women I’ve slept with were originally friends/associates but I always try to start off with some form of flirting. I think a lot of beta men fuck up by not showing themselves as a sexual or romantic being if that makes sense. No flirting, no innuendo, no let’s go on a date, no nothing. Just being nice to a girl that vaguely knows you thinking that means something. I get it, it’s something I struggle with but still. If they’re not comfortable that then …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 06:18 PM
6

After those experiences that I had to figure out: “are you trying to fuck the girl or be one of the girls?” And I had to figure that out quick, and if we’re not fucking to make sure I’m treating them as close to how I treat my male friends. After most of it I laugh too, that’s just how a lot of women “are” and there’s no incentive to change. Just gotta guard myself and keep an eye out. It’s crazy the shit people will tell you if you make them comfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 05:59 PM
10

Sure, I have women that are friends, associates, coworkers, etc and we all get along fairly well. That being said me having a positive relationship with a woman doesn’t mean that particular woman doesn’t do shady shit. She just doesn’t do it to me. I’ve had female friends that cheat, use male attention to gain things, use sex to get things out of men, virtue signal, AF/BB, lie about body counts…honestly if you want to become more red my advice is become friends with tons of woman with no intenti…

I’m sorry what? What a wild premise.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 02:23 PM

I get where your coming from. This is why I say there’s a difference between being desirable and being attractive. For example I’ve always said that money can make you more desirable (ie. make for a good partner = husband material) but not more attractive if that makes any sense. As a man you should strive to be more attractive and not just desirable.

You’re exactly who the type of person I wanted to hear from. Interesting! I originally wanted to do a lore/history/timeline post but I already waste enough time on other unproductive shit, I’m not wasting my time on that. You think this sub will get more popular or banned anytime soon?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 12:33 AM

I’m pretty weird too, think most people are to be on this type of subreddit especially on a consistent basis. I have to stop myself from explaining this shit to people I know irl because it’s too out there and such a waste of time. That’s why I’m trying to participate more but that’s even worse. I’m sure Tyrone will sweep you away from here 💀

It’s definitely not, like watching a slow moving train wreck and I recommend everyone take a break from time to time. I agree it’s nice to have people not bullshit/gaslight you, even if you disagree. That’s what keeps me here.

I’m very interested about the history of this place. How long have you been subbed here and how has this place changed from then to now? Really interested to hear from people who’ve been here from the beginning.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 12:09 AM
2

I know I don’t. It just feels so damn…I don’t even know. I don’t see the point in messaging people just to never meet up with them, and I imagine most people don’t want to be text buddies so I figure why not leave them alone. I’ve had a conversation with maybe ten people and I’ve been on tinder for 2 years. Pretty sure I drove this girl away cause I didn’t want to meetup and fuck but I don’t feel like it. This is very rambly but I don’t really want other people entangled in my life right now.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 11:35 PM
1

I’m not sure if psychopathic is the right word but I’d get laid a lot more if I was willing to do more underhanded shit. I don’t like telling folks what they want to hear just to have sex but that’s a grade A strategy to get laid. It’s hard cause I can be pretty good with my words at times but I don’t like to do things that I know will hurt people.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 07:11 PM

You have all the tropes here! From the grizzled regulars, passerby’s, that familiar stranger that never speaks in the back, the overly chipper, the overly invested in drama, the old ones who just shake their head at the new generation, those who outgrew the place but still check in from time to time, and the newbies who have no idea of the history.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 03:35 PM
1

Yes, I was getting more caught up on the semantics/specifics of it. Going off of the mate shifting idea, It seems like men just go for younger/prettier as a constant(DiCaprio is an extreme example of this), whereas women it’s go for the hot guy when younger, then the guy with money/stability when older.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 03:29 PM
12

Sometimes this subreddit feels like a really shitty dive bar at times and I love it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:45 PM

Do you think men mate shift as well is it more of “we tend to prefer younger women as a constant”? You know the trade in for a newer model trope.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:42 PM
1

Bruh same it feels like I’m talking to a brick wall sometimes 😂. I think the experiences are just way too different at times.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:28 PM
1

I’m not mgtow nor do I have anywhere near a consistent amount of sex but I do think it’s weird you have the mindset of how do you get sex if you’re single. It’s like “saying how do you get to Walmart without a Lamborghini?” There’s tinder, bumble, friends, social circle, escorts, etc. All are methods that men can use to have sex with a willing woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:22 PM
1

Feeling good hmmm….For sex, it’s simply pleasurable and most times there’s just this feeling of release/escape with climax. For desire, it’s just nice feeling wanted, especially if you don’t come by that a lot. For variety, it makes me accomplished, almost like excelling at multiple hobbies or something of that nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 03:48 AM

That sounds amazing, might have to get some tomorrow.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:13 AM

So it’s two baddies in the house over there? Aight then.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:12 AM

That’s the way to go about it. Learning this slowly.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:06 AM

lmfao that’s not surprising at all. Your roommates your friends also or?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 02:05 AM

That’s good to hear. My roommates aren’t bad either, I’m just a selfish mofo who wants to have their own space 😭

Sex feels good, the validation from someone desiring you feels good, and being able to say you’ve had variety in life feels good.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:46 AM

That sucks, hopefully they’re decent people at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:45 AM

Sure! I assume it’s going great?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:45 AM

It was pretty cool? I know sometimes certain friends don’t make for the best roommates but it sounds like it was a good experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:44 AM

I feel on that second paragraph it’s like these people friendly but I wouldn’t be friends with them. Oh well, they probably think the same of me. No big deal. Hopefully can move out soon.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:43 AM

Sounds ideal tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 01:42 AM

Right. It’s doubly so because I don’t have many hobbies that get me out the house so shopping doubles as a social outlet for me. Going to look into more social hobbies in the meantime. I’ve always wanted to learn how to box.

What you mean you’re not interested in a hot and cold ass relationship? 👀 But yes I’m thinking about going back into counseling. I don’t want a repeat of my past relationship.

I was a bit like that in college but now I’m trying to be more intentional with my friend group. Try to make some friends though! The best ones are the ones that force you to go out from time to time.

Idk if this is just younger people or society, but I really dislike how flaky people can be. One thing that’s helped is always having multiple things planned out in case people cancel.

This is late as hell but I swear we must know the same people or something cause this is mad similar. Literally had the same experience in college. My friend group had this one extroverted, charismatic, good looking man to the rest of us being fairly introverted and average. My friends gravitated so much towards him to the point where I had to be upfront and tell my friends, “you guys follow him around like a puppy dog, and wonder why when girls meet the group as a whole, they don’t find you att…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 09:48 PM

I’d say difficulty is similar. But it’s a LOT to take in compared to DS games. I forget how much more linear Dark Souls games would be if you had a map because this world is super big, random boss encounters can be anywhere, dungeons can be anywhere, it’s great. I will say that I’m betting the combination of availability of check points, map, leveling up your character, and fast travel probably makes the mid/late game easier but we’ll see. I have only beat one mini boss so far. About to hop back…

Glad it was therapeutic for you! I can have a bad habit of discussing politics/current issues but generally can pick up who does/doesn’t want to talk about it. Trying to work on my small talk but it bores me to no end. “Fuck the weather, what are the geopolitical implications of Russia invading Ukraine?” Ah I’ll master it someday. Sucks when folks can’t pick up social cues though. It’s like “can’t you see me with headphones in, pretending to type, I’m busy” yet people want to keep having one on …

As much as I want to be a dick and say women should stay till get married as most men really don’t care, realistically 30 to move out and I don’t think there’s an age where it’s weird for a woman to have roommates. If you’re a woman and you have a good relationship with your parents (they’re not in your business, no/little rent you have to pay, treat you like an adult) then milk that for as long as you can. I’ve never met a man that really cares enough for that to be a dealbreaker (tbf I’m also …

I think you’re trying to solve two problems which feed one another. Loneliness and the fact that most men seek validation through sex and their net worth. The problem is you can’t make people do anything. You can’t make women want to have sex with men they don’t find attractive. You can’t make men participate in a society that they don’t see any value in. My solution if there is one: A combination of making society one that they see value in participating in regardless of if they’re getting laid…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/22 06:30 PM

That’s good I’m glad to hear you have a good relationship with them and enjoy their company. Most definitely save up. And honestly I get the living at home thing is always going to be frustrating when it comes to ladies (hell I think it’s the reason most men move out tbh) but there’s always alternatives to when you need to see a lady friend (hotels, Airbnb, etc) especially if you have a varied social life and are meeting folks.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/22 06:25 PM
2

I get that but moving out/away from my parents did improve certain aspects of my social life/mental health. It’s not entirely ideal though. The housing situation is truly terrible. I probably would’ve stayed with my parents if I could’ve and just saved up for a house. I’m similar to you in the sense that as much as I dislike having roommates I’m not trying to go broke just to say I live on my own.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/22 03:17 PM

Between 30-35%. I don’t think I’ve ever slept with a girl that’s had a lower bf than me. Or I did it was probably like one. No complaints just an interesting observation from the question you brought up.

It’s stigmatized because it’s like being short. At best it’s a flaw that others (men & women) overlook in favor of other traits, at worst it’s a dealbreaker that you will unfortunately be ridiculed for.

No endgame. It’s very interesting to get an unfiltered, anonymous idea of what men and women think about relationships. Even I do find it to be a bit exaggerated at times.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 08:28 PM

Since this is relationships I’d say selfishness, ego, social anxiety, and an possible mental illness. Funnily enough I think it’s the selfishness that holds me back the most. I truly don’t believe it’s that difficult to get into a relationship. Working on getting help for these things for my own sake.

That’s fair enough. I can imagine you do eventually get to a point where most of the ‘high body count’ people are pretty much fucking each other. Especially past like 30-35ish.

I really think it should vary cause context matters. Ideally I’d rather not date someone who’s slept with more than 30 people at my age range (early 20s). I don’t ask for people’s counts though. But my body count is low so that’s why.

I know I know 😂. I feel like I damn near gotta be smoother with heavier women due to them being wary about being fetishized. You’re right about the bi thing. This might be a weird concept but I don’t think most women are that prudish/picky it’s just so much easier to get sex out of a man. If that makes any sense. I just gotta get my ‘game’ down. Lane Bryant here I come!
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/22 07:00 PM

Same it’s like I can’t be too vulnerable. With my female friends I tell them everything and I’m pretty sure that’s why they don’t want to fuck me. Which is cool but I mean, sucks that’s the way it is.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 01:30 PM

Hmmmm you didn’t change my opinion but I will ponder about that first point you made about your SMV isn’t determined by yourself. Of course that’s obviously true but sometimes you kind of just miss that fact in the middle of all the frustration. I’ve never thought about it like that. Surely then, you also agree that it’s ridiculous for average to below average women (assuming the man isn’t lying) to expect commitment from ‘chad’ correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 01:29 PM
7

Ehhhh I think you have to increase the height when it comes to those on the shorter side. At anything below 5’9 your height will play a role. It might be offset by your confidence, money, charm, or humor but it will play a role.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 05:24 AM
7

As someone who’s literally fucked a girl just for her to say ”I’d never date you, you’re too short” I agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 05:22 AM
3

I agree with your in spirit. You won’t die a virgin most likely but I’d say at 5’7 and down you’re going to have a very rough time if you’re an average looking dude. I have no doubt in my mind I’d be able to sleep with more people if I was 5’9-5’10 instead of 5’7
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 05:21 AM
3

So maybe the problem with me isn’t solely my looks but that I’m also an inhibited, argumentative, neurotic, petty asshole. Hmmm now how to fix this…drugs/alcohol maybe?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 05:11 AM
4

Exactly! It’s not that dudes want to have their pick of 7-10s but damn some choice would be nice. It’s ridiculous watching legit ugly, bottom of the barrel women who have nothing going for them have body counts a mile long while a decent looking dude gets lucky around every 3-6 months. Ridiculous. People act like desperation doesn’t feed into these toxic mentalities but don’t want to address what causes the desperation. It’s mind boggling. If I could fuck a woman who’s between a 4-6 (with 5 bein…

/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 03:39 PM

That’s true but at some point the argument can be made that quantity is a quality. It’s not this dichotomy where women have these matches but literally all of them are terrible and men have like 5 girls to pick from but they’re all wife material. Having more people interested in you does increase your chances of finding someone you’re compatible with. I’m not saying there aren’t loads of shitty men btw.

Warm approach. I uhhhh showed an old friend/colleague from college that was in town a picture of my dick. I guess she was impressed and later that night we had sex. Hopefully that doesn’t sound too ridiculous 😂 The only other time was with a coworker who I felt like was giving me the signs, went in for a kiss and things happened from there. Everything else was from online dating.

I do think it’s a bit ridiculous/baffling to decide not date an entire race of women, especially when that block is exclusively black women (I’m operating on the assumption that you’re white here and that you’d have no problem dating Asian women even if it isn’t your preference) I’ve never understood the reaction of “oh this person is racist! He’s white and wants to date white women.” It screams “this person reminds me of my own inferiority complex therefore I must shame him!” But such is how so…

I’m dead really? Most of my friends and my ex thought he is really attractive so I threw him in there. I completely forgot about Odell. I was thinking a similar thing about Trevante, I think it’s due to him not having one of them “model sharp jawlines” if you know what I mean. Now that I think about it, it’s not a very common trait I see on black men, even the good-looking ones. I wonder why that is.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/22 05:03 AM

LMAO I’m really trying to be objective. I’d probably think she’s cute if she lost 50-60 pounds but at this point she’s just too overweight. There are some pretty fat girls but Lizzo just ain’t it. It’s a damn shame cause she’s tall, you can tell the face is there but so much weight like 😩.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/22 04:58 AM

ITT not enough examples featuring black people. going off what u/Slitelohel said, it's harder to judge women because looks are what’s selected. I’d say there’s an over representation of attractive women and average men I'd also add that these are mainly people whose job it is to look good so you have to take off some points or imagine if they were normal people. It was really hard to be objective and find average women. That being said here's my list. Attractive women: Lovie Simone, Ryan Destiny…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/22 12:53 AM

Hyper-analytical mode activated. Let me think on your second point for a minute. I think it’s a combination of women having options (even if they’re ones they don’t want) being willfully ignorant , and concerned that if they admit to having a specific advantage when it comes to sex/relationships then they have to confront other advantages they may derive from it. Maybe some feel like it invalidates the disadvantages they do have (in my opinion it doesn’t). I’ll say it until I’m blue in the face …

A life well lived is me having kids with (ideally) the love of my life after being a complete womanizer in my 20s. Seeing as that I’m a average guy with shitty social skills that’s most likely not going to happen. Just hoping if I do get married I don’t end up resenting my wife. Am I achieving those goals now? Seeing as I lack options, no. My plan? Don’t really have one. There’s some personal reasons behind that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 09:14 PM
0

Seconded. I actually don’t mind being single but it’s the utter lack of immediate available options that bothers me from time to time as it’s a clear sign that I’m painfully average if not below average. Women definitely have it different (and better in that department) in my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/22 09:01 PM

Anywhere from C- to C+. I’m well aware that the issue is that I don’t try and put as much effort as I should. But I’m not naive enough to believe I’d be over here with a different girl every week/month or some.

Its tough to say because aren’t the kids like 13 in the books? I think that the power struggle in the books would’ve developed earlier but been less violent.

The only person that I know that is under 5’5 and slays is someone from my old friend group in college. He basically looks like a much more attractive version of Bodie from The Wire. Came from a rough environment as well so I’m sure the chicks loved that. Before our friendship disintegrated he fucked like 20+ girls. Keep in mind man is like 23 years old. Basically what I’m saying is short people can get girls but you’re either ungodly attractive, persistent as hell, confident + charismatic or ma…

4-5 ish I guess? I’m not sure but here’s my list. Looks: 5 on a good day (maybe higher but I’m short so you have to subtract points for that) Success: 7 (Make 60k+ at 23. Not bad) Status: 3 (Pretty low on the totem pole at work, in my personal life I’m not someone who inspires a following if you know what I mean) Social Skills: 4 (Can hold a conversation with pretty much anyone about anything. Have crippling anxiety and struggle with crowds and new stimuli. Don’t have many friends.)

I think that it is a symptom but not the cause. Society is not going to collapse because of picky women. You have way too much faith in humanity to believe we wouldn’t enact drastic measures to prevent that. Not willing to make myself uglier/lose dick size for it, but I’d definitely take years off of my life to be taller or more facially attractive (I’m 5’7, receding corners, no jawline, baggy eyes, etc) there’s no way I’m going to continue living like this for the next 50/60 years anyways. Maybe also my net worth but I like money :)

As much as I hate people shitting on short men, if I was tall I’d honestly do the same. Hell as a short man I’d rather not want to date a super short woman. My issue is that height requirements are never forced on women which is dumb as shit. You get genes from both sets of parents people! Always a good laugh to see a women marry a tall man and her kids still end up short cause she’s 4’11.

I hope you’re able to manage

Do you mind explaining your premise of why you think that? Curious

Thank you fellow king, I’m trying my best.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/21 11:14 AM

I have no doubt. I’m short and non-white too so it’s brutal. But I’m glad I got a lil some. I recommend every guy to try your hardest to get laid while in college. It is easiest time you’ll have dating I swear.

What the absolute hell 😭😭😭
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/21 01:02 AM

Oh most definitely, I just assume it’s way more hot women than men. Sometimes people bullshit or in my opinion some men overestimate how good looking they are, like they’re above average, kinda of a best of a decent bunch. Having 99+ matches is legitimately a rare thing for a man. There’s maybe less than 5 men I’ve known in my whole life that would get that. Guess who’s not one of those 5? I was gonna say something snarky like I wouldn’t be here if my match game was on point like that but that’s…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/21 12:06 AM
2

Straight up not trying be a dickhead but what brings you to a sub like this with a match count like that? Trying to see the other side of life? 😭Or just interested in the battle of the sexes?

I made a similar comment about this and got called delusional. Are you a history buff by any chance? For the people who do reproduce, I predict striking similarities to the Ottoman Sultans and their families. Harems and deadly rivalries galore.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 06:05 PM

On your last paragraph fucking same. I vaguely knew a girl in college who had an arrangement where she was able to fuck other girls and I’m like??? Shaking my head. Also why I wouldn’t do a threesome in a relationship even if the third was a girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 12:43 AM

Fail to see how that’s infantile behavior nor how I’m projecting but cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 08:03 PM

It’s not that past behavior can’t be changed but you shouldn’t bet on it changing.

I’d say online dating has always been a crapshoot but generally there’s too much choice for women and not enough for men. Neither of those things are the other genders fault(nor does having these issues make them bad people), but you as the individual unfortunately are responsible for navigating the minefield. It definitely sucks. All these strategies, phenomena, and advice you see are responses to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 08:23 PM
2

Yeah she got my dogwhistle detector going off
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/21 04:19 AM

I really hope this isn’t the only place people get advice from (social media). Main point, women getting relationship advice from other women and a bunch of horny guys on the internet is pretty much always going to end up that way. Combine that with the Reddit karma system and you can pretty much tell how the wind will blow on 90% of posts by women in that subreddit. I’m not sure it’s a bad thing, as most people just want their pre-made opinion reaffirmed anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 02:28 AM

Why don’t women largely find the average man attractive? Why is it personality or money that has to put him over the edge? And why do some women date men they don’t find physically attractive? It just seems like women are much more comfortable dating someone they feel “meh” about physically. With men I can kind of understand it because options don’t come by easily. Why do women dislike men having standards?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/21 06:48 PM

Another amoral solution iirc was the bachelor tax instituted by Augustus as part of his laws on morality.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/21 09:51 AM

I’m not sure about yourself but masturbation often isn’t as good as having sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:35 AM

Fair enough, but as someone said any physical job has the same potential for abuse. Hell I’d extend that any job in general if you’re boss is a dick. I think there is this barrier between paying for anything else and paying for sex because it’s at the intersection of morality, body autonomy, and disposability. I hope I’m not misremembering but there was somewhere where prostitutes could refuse clients if they so pleased, but I can see how pimps or brothels pressure them to not do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:34 AM

See this is the argument I understand. There probably is a fairly bit of self-loathing or shame or anguish that someone had to pay a prostitute because you couldn’t get some authentically.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:24 AM

How so? Women already have men by the balls anyways, and I don’t think every woman would become a prostitute
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:21 AM

It’s a nice thing to have along with everything else you mentioned. You can literally say that about equal rights, discrimination, homelessness, mental health, etc. I hate the “you’re not entitled to it” argument that you just gave because people only spit that out when the issue is something that doesn’t affect them or indirectly benefits them. I never said that those issues aren’t important.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:20 AM

Exactly but they’re missing the point lol
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:14 AM

Prostitution being legalized => men having more sex => sexlessness rates going down. But how am I wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 11:12 AM

I still don’t understand why prostitution just can’t be legal. I feel like it would solve at least some of the issues regarding sexlessness in significant amounts of men. Especially when things like onlyfans exist.

Hmmm that is a possibility. But I really believe my female friends enjoy my personality and don’t find me attractive in any sense of the word. Literally one told me “I don’t become friends with men I want to sleep with”. I think they appreciate that I ‘know my place’ so to speak. Of course this isn’t every woman I’ve been friends with but hey. As for height I’m 5’7 so I consider that short, and I’ve always felt that if I was taller I’d have more success with women. I’m under no illusion that hei…

Cars, at work, home while parents are away. Hell even in the woods somewhere…If you’re good looking enough and it’s the right girl it can happen. I’ve had much better looking friends fuck managers at work, sleep with married women in cars, get oral while they’re supposed to be watching siblings etc, etc

That’s really the future isn’t it? I’m going to become a very rich man selling rope, bullets, alcohol, and vr porn 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/21 07:08 PM
8

Right? I hate people who act like online dating isn’t real dating. If women don’t want to be approached in public, but they’re on tinder/bumble, go there. She’s not gonna be anymore attracted by or open to some dude tapping in her on the shoulder in the subway 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/21 07:04 PM
2

I’d say 9 & 10. All that other shit doesn’t matter if she finds you attractive. You can be broke having sex, you don’t have to be in a relationship to have sex. Women are attracted to good looks, masculinity and the exceptional, three things men are less of these days thanks to society, technology, and the destruction of the family.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/21 07:00 PM
19

Yeah they don’t get it. I wish I could tell them you’re not as special as you think you just have a vagina and those men want to fuck you; but they really mean well they just don’t have that shared experience. People aren’t naturally inviting to those who lack a vagina on a dating app. Unless you’re a truly exceptional man which I am not. All my guy friends understand though so it’s okay for the most part. Just wish the other gender could as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/21 06:53 PM

I’ve had that before. “Why don’t you try hinge?” The worst part is they’re being so genuine they just don’t understand it doesn’t work like that for us lmfao.

I’d say it’s better to assume all women are having casual sex then none of them are. For context I am a short unattractive black dude who’s relatively personable. For most of my life I’ve had more girls as friends then guys. They tell me things. From what I’ve been told pretty much all of the women I know have casual sex or would have casual sex under the right circumstances. Whether that’s cheating, fucking handfuls of men on vacation, sleeping around the department, going on a fuck-crazy phase…

Oh nice! A question just for me. I’ve said previously I hover between a 4-6. The physical attributes that contribute to me being ugly are asymmetrical face, lack of a strong jawline, eye bags, tear troughs, big lips, big nose, uneven nostrils, wiry patchy beard, widows peak (they don’t look good on black men), and the biggest indicator that I’m unattractive, my height. I stand in at exactly 5’7. I’ve been told I resemble Tyler the Creator, Donald Glover, and John Legend. None of those men are do…

Given my height, weight, face, body physique I’m probably a 4 to a 5 on a good day (5 being bang average). If every other box is checked probably a five? It’s tough to say because I believe women are more attractive to either gender so a woman that’s a 5 will probably be better looking than myself. If you’re looking for the gotcha answer then yes I’m not willing to date a woman that looks worse than myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/21 04:46 AM

It’s actually crazy. I figured some of men had to be long term friendships cause men tend to entertain the possibility of sex with their women friends more than the other way around, and for longer too. Especially after young adulthood when the options become fewer and farther between. So it makes sense that some of them were just biding their time so to speak. The no one on one interaction is good imo. I used to be against it but honestly? Most men (especially after college) are not going to go…

Not to be crass, but shouldn’t they recognize this person is married, they had their chance(assuming they knew each other before you guys got married), and just let sleeping dogs lie? Idk I fall under the camp of yes, ideally I’d sleep with my female friends if they were open to it, but most aren’t so I keep my mouth shut and enjoy the friendship or leave. I don’t get why these guys can’t do the same? And have you had female friends that you’ve felt the same way for as these men do about your wi…

Yeah I think of the two of my points I believe the second one has much more consensus from both men and women. To your second paragraph(and my first point). It’s easy for me to say that I’d make the trade, but you’re right I haven’t lived the life of a woman so I wouldn’t know what I’d be getting myself into. Funny how it’s the reverse isn’t it? The average man wants to be wanted for more than their character/personality/accomplishments and the average women wants to be wanted for more than just…

To me the two biggest advantages women have is that there’s multiple lanes of attractiveness to exist that people will specifically like you for. There are men that are attracted to fat, skinny, tall, short, baby faced, strong jawed, brown, yellow, white women etc. *A short man can be attractive but he is not desired for his shortness, it is either a negative or a neutral factor that the woman is overlooking. * The second and I’ll admit I wish I was more intelligent to convey this point but alas…

How far would you lower your standards to get laid?> Further than I would for a relationship. Would you sleep with a woman you thought was ugly? Have you? > I’ve never had sex with a woman that I thought was ugly(as in I’m not attracted to her at all) but most of the women I’ve slept with are women that I wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with; the primary reason being their looks. Is there such as thing as too ugly if it's just a hook up? > Yes there is. However as said previously my standa…

Fair enough I didn’t see your links in the previous. How much of that is due to the distribution of assets though? In your own source it says that most women would rather keep the house that take their former husbands pension. Also perhaps the ex-wife has a harder time living within her means now that she no longer has a husband to support her? Those might explain the rates. Also there’s more than just money. I suppose the man is also poorer if he has to pay child support/ alimony to his now ex wife. Wouldn’t you agree?

Perhaps rewarded was the wrong word. I’d say women have less to lose generally from a divorce than men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/21 04:36 AM

I imagine the implication was that your wife wouldn’t get rewarded for stepping out on you back then. I’d say the average man doesn’t have an issue with BB, they have an issue with the rug being pulled out from under them.

Oh no I wasn’t saying that at all, I agree with your second paragraph completely. Yeah I meant essentially that women who want to cheat on their partners will find a greater amount of men who are not phased by the fact that they’re in a relationship nor care to insist on the women leaving their partners. These men fucking the married women are content to just be fucking her.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/21 12:03 AM
1

Anecdotally, myself (I’ve done it) and everyone except one guy in my all male friend group have slept with girls that have been “in relationships” and we didn’t really care, we didn’t want to be the boyfriend since we were already fucking them. I imagine women would be a bit more opposed to staying a side chick indefinitely. Seems to be common from what I see on social media as well. But no statistical evidence if that’s what you mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/21 11:28 PM
4

Women cheat all the time it’s just that 1) it’s WAYYYYY easier for a woman to cheat, 2) men are a lot more comfortable being the side-man, 3) and women generally don’t think of what they’re doing as cheating once they do the mental gymnastics. 3b) Oh! Women lie and virtue signal more than men do.

I just...don’t get it. I’m cool with women having higher standards/different standards but finding 80% percent of men unattractive is straight up ridiculous. It’s just crazy. Why would I want to date someone that doesn’t find me attractive, waited until she couldn’t date the men she actually wanted, and is more likely a worse version of herself?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/21 01:33 PM

It’s pretty terrible. Humans are social, sexual creatures and it is a need that a large population of exclusively one gender won’t have.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/21 01:10 PM

That and eventually the population of white people (who tend to be the tallest) will decline due to the fact that in most European Countries/USA there is a declining birthrate supplanted by immigration (it’s not a genocide it’s demographics, but you get what I’m saying)

Ding ding ding ding. When most people say they’re religious (esp western people under 30) more likely than not they are cultural Christians who only practice Christian holidays and traditions, seldom go to church but are uncomfortable with the idea of calling themselves atheists due to their upbringing. It’s been almost a year since I was out of college. The biggest differences are there are less women to talk to, less avenues to meet women, and are less willing to date. Also people being “work cute” is a thing especially if you work with a bunch of old people or mostly men. In my opinion the best way to succeed in dating as a man post college is to have a established social life that includes hobbies that put you in proximity with women that you also enjoy doing. Just a couple of criticisms/complaints. It feels like a lot of women believe they shouldn’t have to compromise or change in a relationship because they’re the women or it’s only done as a last ditch effort mostly in bad faith. Putting all the compromises and changes on one side breeds nothing but resentment in men. Something else is that I don’t think women are specifically gold diggers but a lot of them have the mindset that “my money is my money and his money is my money” and that’s annoying t…

I’d say the best position for sleeping with heavier women is doggy but if you don’t have enough penis for that it might be rough. For her on top, try using props like pillows to bring your hips closer or have her lean slightly forward so less of her weight is on you.

I think that for both genders it ends up being negative. The realization jades men and women. Realizing that there are a sizeable amount of women that straight up don’t find you good looking, for shit you can’t change(face, height) hurts. Realizing that there are men out here that are largely indifferent to everything outside of your looks (personality, career, goals and aspirations) and are laser focused on sex, relationships, and the validation that comes from it hurts. That paints a bleak out…
