Fuck that, if they tried that we would have done a home birth.

The nurse agreed that it is a dumb policy. We all laughed at it together. Cursing in general frustration is not seen as something taboo to me, cussing someone out is a different story. I know it was not her policy and as several other comments have stated, "Birth parent"probably means me also, but somewhere in the line the training was done incorrectly and people were told that it is only mom.

Everything was paid beforehand. Dr. Wouldn't see us unless we made a monthly payment.

Lol I figured that out right away, I really don't care. At the end of the day, if his comment makes him happy good for him. Can't bring me down from where I am now.

This hospital JUST got rid of the visitor rule. Now it's one at a time (I'm on with that) but had it been a month sooner, I would have either not been able to come, or not leave the room until discharge.

Another commenter also said that, and after everything I think y'all may be right. But I don't fault the nurse because she seemed like she didn't agree also.

That's fucked! No one would be able to take my kid from me specially if she passed in birth.

Yeah I've always heard it and felt horrible but to actually have it happen huts/pisses me off.

Reading this makes me hope that maybe the policy says one thing but has been interpreted as another. As far as I a concerned I am his birth parent because I was his parent at birth. I didn't push him out (holy shit proud of her for all of that) but that does not lessen my role in this whole process.

We'll this one's good on that front, I have a tag on my arm and that is linked to the one attached to him umbilical cord. Don't wanna say impossible to mess up but that's damn good.

Oh she completely understood and agreed, I made sure to say it in a way that was not directed to her but at the policy itself. She hinted at me filling it out cause she did say "Just make sure mom sings here" with that tone that pretty much said "you fill it out, I don't care"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
