List of complications for CS are actually higher and more varied than vaginal birth, btw. There are infinitely more risks to CS than VB. That’s why most obstetricians prefer it for their patients. But yes, it’s often because they don’t actually know what it means and what it could entail. They’re just terrified of the idea of pushing a baby out for hours, which is a very real and fair fear.
