I think you brought the hammer down in the most hilarious and over the top way possible but yea I wouldn't do it myself. Props for doing it but at the same time it's not something you should strive to do either. The thing is, I did have it all planned out! I just had a brain-fart at a pretty inopportune moment haha. I was trying to do other things as well like framing myself towards her and appearing confident, but since she was walking towards her car, she just fell in beside me and kept walking the same direction next to me. I was going to touch her arm while asking, but I thought it might appear to intimate (read: weird) in front of the other 100 kids in class.

Do something called nouning. Whenever someone answers your questions, pick up on the nouns that they use in their answer. Analyze these and try to come up with questions that incorporate some of these nouns that will get them to talk more about themselves.

Ah, gotcha. I remember when my fwb first told me she wasn't ready for a relationship but still wanted to date (read: mess around), she stopped texting me for almost a week because she was so flustered thinking about telling me haha. Things went pretty well until spring break (last week). I texted her a couple times just checking in on her, and she stopped answering me after a day or two. Lord knows what she's thinking now haha

If you are interested, check out Taoism. You are sort of describing it in its most basic form. When something negative happens in a normal person's life, they let it affect them In a negative light, and they have a bad day. However, a Taoist will acknowledge the Bad Thing, absorb it into themselves, and let it change them for the better by letting it teach then a lesson. It's the philosophy of not giving a fuck, and it is a beautiful thing.

I agree with this. When I read most "field reports", I'm usually just kind of awe-struck by how much people have reduced women to be their warm-up exercises and everything.
