If a woman gets pregnant and wants the baby, but the husband doesn't, what happens? It's not the scenario itself that is in question, it's the very fact that there are laws tailored to allow these scenarios to happen. | /r/MensRights | 24/07/13 12:39 AM
Yeah! Because death sentence is the solution! The face is either level 9001 beta, or barely containing laughter. Hard read. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 09:10 AM
Yeah! Because death sentence is the solution!I laughed, and then I got sad. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 08:27 AM
Yeah! Because death sentence is the solution!Nope, absolute new favorite. "Because no means no, but sometimes yes doesn't mean yes" | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 08:22 AM
Yeah! Because death sentence is the solution! My favorite one is the girl who talks about not needing rewards cards from make-up stores, yet is obviously caked in make-up. Either that or the guy who thinks he contributes to "rape culture" without even knowing it. I'll bet, you can't be aware of your contribution to something that doesn't exist. Ha. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 08:15 AM
Feminism is slowly destroying itselfGoddamn, you really know how to call 'em. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 08:09 AM
I never thought I would have a reason to post here.. But I should of known...Gently correcting someone will be better received, and probably garner less downvotes. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 08:05 AM
Can I beat child support in this scenario? While I'm sure that the contract would mean nothing to someone hell-bent on getting child support, it couldn't hurt his case if he tried to fight it. Some people marry people when they make a baby, it's simply an option. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 08:01 AM
Feminism is slowly destroying itself"Ride out the storm" eh? I think you may have some merit to what you're saying, though I can't honestly work out much of it in my head (though, at this time of night, I'm not much good for that). But I also think one of the reasons feminism could be harming itself is the increasing number of unreasonable people associating themselves with the movement. People see videos of the protests, they see the screaming feminists shouting over the calm-speaking MRAs who state that they only want to talk, a… | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 07:57 AM
I lost a friend to feminism (or, How I learned to stand up for myself)I wish you well on your way. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 07:37 AM
I lost a friend to feminism (or, How I learned to stand up for myself)Thanks for the constructive criticism. I really liked all the parts where you explain to me what you thought about my post was wrong, and tried to help me better myself as a person by actually being helpful. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 07:35 AM
Getting sick of dealing with friend's hard-line feminist girlfriend.Thanks for the expansion, I didn't even think of that scenario. :) | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 07:29 AM
I lost a friend to feminism (or, How I learned to stand up for myself)Well, I'd suppose nothing you need concern yourself with, if that's how you feel. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 07:27 AM
I lost a friend to feminism (or, How I learned to stand up for myself)I'm not really sure where I want to go with this. Realistically, our friendship was pretty much boiling down to her almost exclusively complaining about any and everything, and I don't know if that's realistically someone I want to have to deal with in my life. We'll see where it goes. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 07:26 AM
| -2 | Can I beat child support in this scenario?Get it it writing that she won't go after child support. Hard to really argue with your signature on a legal document. Or, you know, marry her? | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 06:42 AM |
Female here -- how would you feel about having females on this subreddit who enjoy discussion?Oh, I suppose I didn't get the reference. Well played, Reddit. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 06:39 AM
Female here -- how would you feel about having females on this subreddit who enjoy discussion?I believe they basically were saying they woke up to the hypocrisy of feminism, not sure why it's so downvoted? Perhaps people didn't get the reference. | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 05:59 AM
I never thought I would have a reason to post here.. But I should of known...A lot of the other comments sound pretty hurtful. Going full silent, or even trying to turn something around on someone I don't feel is going to help the situation. It's really only going to make your "accuser" feel like they were right in what they felt, and anyone else she told about it is also going to see the change after you were "talked to" about your "behavior". Your boss seems pretty cool, you might ask her if it's okay if you were to address the office. Perhaps explain to everyone that … | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 05:53 AM
Getting sick of dealing with friend's hard-line feminist girlfriend.I have to agree, with the other comments, there's not much you can actively do. Most of what you're going to have to "do" is let her run her course. The main issue stems from the lack of reason with most, if not all, hardcore feminists, you simply can't have any logical back and forth, so unless you're willing to invest in a nice set of metaphorical ear-plugs, I'd suggest trying to call some sort of truce, or a social contract with your group that any issue involving gender is taboo. I know it s… | /r/MensRights | 17/07/13 05:37 AM

Venting my masculine fury...You could, I suppose, say the same thing in a more constructive way. Most people won't listen to you if you lace your words with insults. | /r/MensRights | 10/07/13 04:38 AM
Venting my masculine fury...Depending on who you talked to, see if you can talk to someone higher up in the charity. You may have simply spoken to a low-level person who will quickly change their tune if they have someone who cuts their paycheck on their heels about discrimination. This would also be a good way to segue into the idea that a single point of contact with a company (or rather, charity) does not necessarily mean bad things of it as a whole. You obviously wanted to volunteer there, so I'm assuming the charity d… | /r/MensRights | 09/07/13 10:48 PM
