Are you serious? lol Such a nice post only to see the guy who wrote it be so fragile from criticism. The Ramsay story was bad next time you write this do a different story with actual problems and solutions the guy went through with women. Regardless of your saltyness the first few paragraphs you wrote were great! Sheesh so sensitive...

I'm not trying to be a cunt also it's too bad you're taking it this way lol I've read Models too and I have it on audible just to refresh the material. Great stuff. I think I know what the issue is here and it's your example of using Ramsay. His story is more of a rags too riches anecdote not a person who was having trouble getting women, and if he was having trouble you never said he was. Your title literally says obstacles to attraction and expressing intent two things your Ramsay anecdote wer…

How does having a purpose help guys get rid of their Nice guy persona though? I read Robert Glover's book No More Mr. Nice Guy front to back and I understand why guys have this mind set and how to fix it. What I'm saying is that story of Gordon Ramsay doesn't actually give any help for people actually suffering from that personality trait, and I find it weird it got upvoted so much with no actual substance lol Like I said though, the beginning part of it was very inspiring it just kind of went o…

Your first few paragraphs were great you actually had me intrigued, but then you brought in Gordon Ramsey for some weird reason lol Like how does that relate turning a nice guy into a confident male mindset? There were no specific examples it's just a rag to riches story. It's an interesting story of resilience and finding purpose, but what the fuck bro? lol

Rarely happens, but it does. I've had women approach me, and initiate conversation when I'm most in my zone. Either I'm with my friends just living it up dancing by myself but next to them or this one time I took my camera out to the bars and was just in my zone photographing the people around me not caring about girls. Then this cute girl walked up to me and started asking about my camera which I was then able to get her number through just easy mode. I later noticed she was in a few of my pict…

Go away from Tinder that place is a fake profile mine. I use Hinge and have never in my years of using it have come across a fake profile. Although I have seen revenge profiles of girls nude or in unattractive/ugly pictures probably made from angry ex boyfriends or people that might hate that girl.

I've been using Hinge with great success. That app really rewards you if you connect your instagram and you posts great pictures.

Honestly this kind of advice is set more for people in their 20's and can also be relevant for folks in early 30's but from my experience older than that people will play less games. It's still possible judging by posts on /r/datingoverthirty to meet guys in their 40's who do play games, but I feel like it's less likely.

First date I always pay, but if I know I'm going to be seeing this girl beyond the first date then I'll tell her either at the end of their first date or the second date that we are going to switch off on paying for drinks/food. I'll get the first then alternate after that. Sometimes if it's a big bill then split it down the middle. I always keep tabs on who was the last person to pay cause if I'm always paying the bill then that doesn't sit well with me so why go through that.

I think I took the phrase differently than you then. I took it as the very initial moment of the interaction. I like this girls appearance or whatever it is and now I'm going to go flirt with her and see if she likes me. From there (either during the conversation or after) I'll see if I like her too and decide if I want to keep talking to her. So I would agree partly with you on some of the stuff you say. But I was talking about the very start of it all where you don't know anything about her.
/r/seduction26/04/21 06:49 PM
2

Yeah why would you flirt with someone you don't initially like/find attractive? These guys are turning this into a position of power/control. I'm not going to flirt with a girl I don't see me being with or hooking up with. I'll find out after if I like her or not, but that sounds like mental gymnastics to get a false sense of superiority. But if that helps them with their pick up then whatever.

Also, keep in mind that even when you become advance in the game this can still happen. By then though you should have so much experience and self-improvement that you wont care that this happened and be able to move on to the next person much easier.

For sure I guess the one part I would disagree with is having the passion to talk about your hobby to another person. I don't think it's necessary if you're able to instead make conversation and actually become interested in what the other person is saying and their interests/life. I honestly don't really talk about my photography hobby with girls unless it naturally comes up in conversation but I don't make it a thing I go to or even want to bring up. I own 5 different photo lenses and two came…

Another hobby I would add that allows you to meet more women is photography which is the main reason I took it up. I started taking up photography so my Hinge profile would get me more dates and eventually I ended up getting taken over by the love of photography. Now I shoot for myself and not my dating profile. My instagram feed is so interesting with stuff I shoot that I'm constantly getting hits on my profile and when we meet I don't even talk about my hobbies lol I already got the date so I …

I disagree to the only in person part. I do it for dating apps as well and I don't have trouble with it and if a girl loses interest or whatevers during that period then that's fine by me. There's plenty of people out there to be hung up on one person. I consider myself advanced already but I still think it's not the best advice for newbies. Teach them early how to properly go about it or they'll end up messing up their chances more. The only time I do continue having a convo over text before th…

Here's my secret which isn't much of a secret. I send a message and never check if it got left on 'read' or 'delivered'. If I get a reply back that's cool and if I don't then oh well. Move on. Got ghosted? Oh fucken well, move on.

Cause it's the only dating app you can connect your instagram to. I do a lot of street photography so my IG gets me a bunch of matches. It shows your last 12 IG posts and my pics are pretty well edited. It shows that I have a hobby aside from what's in my profile without mentioning it plus it also shows that I don't sit home all day and I'm out and about at events or whatever.

Yeah, sounds like someone hurt him deep and he's taking it out on the apps. I've met a lot of girls through Hinge which is my preferred app and they've all been cool. I think I've had like one crazy girl on there, but I definitely didn't take out on all the rest of the chicks, and I still hang out with a few of them even though we don't have anything serious. I see there's no serious potential so we turn into friends which is dope cause now I look like I have a higher status when I'm hanging out…

So if I made the first move I would have had to deal with that awkwardness for the remainder of the class. This is the point people are missing imo. People who haven't been stuck with a person they hit on and went sideways in a class/job where they were going to be stuck together after for a long time don't realize the consequences. We may do our best to not make it awkward after, but that doesn't mean the girl wont be the same.

You missed the part where they were lab mates. If things went sideways and she wasn't interested with him coming on to her that would be a whole semester/quarter of awkwardness between them. I did that once in a lab of mine where I thought a girl was interested and I told her how I felt week 3 of a 16 week class. She gave vibes like she was interested but it turned out she was just an overly flirty person. Well, the rest of the semester was awkward af in so many ways. Never again unless we have …

There's an alternative to this. You can meet the "perfect" girl WHILE you're at an abundance. What to do when you're at abundance and you fall into the pedestal trap?

My niche is in cocktail photography, but I also go to a lot of cultural/food/miscellanous festivals (as well as street murals/graffiti) and take pictures of whatever is there that looks interesting. The cocktail one has really got me more dates because I get asked by girls irl or girls will DM me to ask about the drinks and I tell them I can take them out for drinks for my next photo session. Perfect excuse to get them out for drinks and build a connection since they're obviously out with me not…

I've got gym, and photography for now. Don't really have a third but those 2 have got me a long way to being more social and standing out. You can ask what her schedule is like if you like not a big deal. Either way her reply (if you even get one) should tell you if she's interested still. Also, you can't think about if girls are lying to you or not you have to take them on their word. That's how paranoia and fear builds and you have to ignore those thoughts. Just take them on their word and go on with your shit. It's possible she's just trying to back out, but whatever it doesn't matter to you because you have your own shit going …

So you can either ask what day she'll be free or do the whole congrats text you mentioned and ask her to hang out again next Thursday with a "hope all is well with you, I was wondering if you'd be free to hang out either Sunday or Monday". Obviously if you do the first option you're speeding things up a bit and you'll know if she really wants to hang out with you if she gives you a day she's free. If she's unsure about what day or you get a non-investment answer you'll know she's not into you an…

Haha story of my dating life. All it takes is one wrong text or timing and it can fuck the whole thing up. We just move on tho. Then I would send the text Saturday morning.

Sad thing is that playing games is a must. If you really want to get the girl you have to play these types of games. Every once in a while you meet a girl who doesn’t play games but from my experience that’s really rare. Anyways, it could be an issue (I personally don’t think so) but who knows, I have no idea what she’s thinking. I don’t do backwards confirmation but send the text Friday at noon.
/r/seduction09/10/19 09:02 PM

With how long it took her to respond I would've texted today, but whatevs imo it's not a big deal that you responded later that night. The date is on Saturday right? I forgot when it was set up, but yeah don't text her until the day before to confirm. I wouldn't double text her for a response to the time.

It's not weird at all, but you're getting worked up over this chick. You need to have a new mindset that if she doesn't text you back it's not the end of the world. There's plenty of girls out there and it's not worth it getting worked up over one. Just take it as a learning experience. If that chick ends up ghosting me or canceling the day before the date on Sunday I honestly don't give a fuck because I'm already dating two other girls. It's about that mindset that there's always going to be oth…

Yeah you took a while to respond, I would've responded a bit after 8am, but oh well. I suggest just to try to keep busy with other things so you don't dwell on this girl too much, but either way you can throw out that text Thursday if you don't hear back from her.

She's still asking to reschedule so the best you can do is take her by her word so reschedule for later this week. Friday/Saturday aren't ideal for first dates, but after that it's fine. I just got a girls number yesterday and I asked her if she was free either Thurs or Sunday and she went with Sunday. Now I'm not texting her until Saturday to confirm so just go with the flow. Do whatever day works best. Her texting back 20 min later sounds good, you could've texted about 20 min too. Just match …

Waiting a good amount between texts so it's not needy looking, not double texting, matching their texting pattern as well. stuff like that
/r/seduction07/10/19 04:07 AM
1

You can text 20ish minutes after the date or the day after morning/noon doesn't matter imo. I always text about 20ish or so minutes after the date. I just text them whenever I want to text them lol just need to balance the texting pattern/timing so it doesn't come across as needy.
/r/seduction06/10/19 11:38 PM
1

Ahh gotcha, depending on what time the date is you should text either the day before or the day of the date. 3 hours before the date may be a little too late and they may either had forgotten about it because you went so many days without saying anything or may have thought that the date wasn't happening and decided to do other plans or just were over it and their mind wasn't in it. So if the date is in the evening/night then text the morning of the date to confirm (can also do the day before if…

Wait, so to understand, from Thursday (the day you set up the date) to the following Tuesday (when you guys were supposed to meet) you didn't text her at all (this part is fine if you did that)? How long before the agreed upon time of the date did you text her "see you in a bit"? Sorry, it's still pretty early for me and having a hard time understanding. What kind of confirmation text are you talking about? And what's your reasoning for that text?
/r/seduction05/10/19 02:07 PM
1

That's dope, good shit brotha. I like the first text better it's more assertive and if it sounds like she'd rather do something else the you can always change plans. The main thing is to not get into long conversations over text maybe little stuff here or there, but don't seem too available to text her. So many things can go wrong once you get into long texts it's better to just keep it simple.
/r/seduction05/10/19 02:11 AM
1

She could've still said no if you didn't mention Friday, but personally I don't like to mention Friday/Sat for first dates because it rules out the possibility of sounding needy or looking like I don't already have plans for Fri/Sat which are days that people consider that you would have shit going on already. So I'm assuming things didn't go well with the other girl right? Regardless it's a numbers game eventually someone will come along. Nbd. Try a different format and see what works for you. …
/r/seduction03/10/19 09:16 PM

I don’t like the sound of that text. It could’ve been bc it sent out a needy feeling by asking for Friday or because she changed her mind after giving you her number. Whatever the case you can try one more time and then move on.
/r/seduction03/10/19 07:45 PM

I'll leave it up to you I can only tell you the same thing so many times lol Good luck
/r/seduction03/10/19 04:33 AM

Haha man just do Friday so you can get it out of your system. You're so eager to meet this check asap then see what happens if you decide to do Friday. Worst thing that can happen is she'll say no or get ghosted and the best thing that can happen is she'll say yes. Go for it brotha do your thing
/r/seduction03/10/19 04:19 AM

Bro, I took 3 years of community college and 4 of university. No such thing lol If they really have an interest in you they'll make the time.
/r/seduction03/10/19 03:42 AM

I ask out girls anytime after 9-10am it depends on the texting times/pattern I've had with the girl. So whatever time you think is best just after 9-10am.
/r/seduction03/10/19 12:25 AM
1

If she's busy Monday she'll let you know then you can suggest Tuesday if she can't do Sunday also. I've been through a lot of "what if's" and you just have to roll with it. Play with the hands the situation gave you. At least you're shooting your shot.
/r/seduction02/10/19 11:27 PM
1

Idk what to tell you, I guess you can read books and watch stand up comedy for it because that's what I see most people suggesting in this sub. I'm a naturally funny person irl so I didn't have to really go through it although I did learn to always type "jk" after jokes because A LOT of girls don't know if you're being serious or not even if you're obviously joking about stuff. I'd wait until tomorrow to set up the date, but it's up to you. Go ahead and experiment and see how that goes for you. …

Do a couple of texts of banter then ask to meet up either Sunday or Monday/Tuesday whatever fits you best. Don't ask for a coffee too soon because it shows neediness. It may work, but I've experimented with that and more often than not it's a negative reaction that gives off neediness. You'll either get ghosted or they'll keep flaking on you. Sunday at the earliest and the other day whatever works for you, but after. Don't ask to meet up girls on Fridays/Saturdays on first dates you want to make…
/r/seduction02/10/19 11:11 PM

Set up the next date during the date. Then follow up after that.
/r/seduction30/09/19 04:28 AM
2

This is the answer right here. OP's texts are needy af. A simple, "??" as a follow up is good enough. If she still has any sort of interest in you she'll respond if she doesn't then she'll just ignore it. It's pretty fckn simple. Then simply move on with your life if she doesn't respond and on to the next.
/r/seduction27/09/19 12:54 PM
1

I see, I wait till the next day in the afternoon personally. It varies from person to person so see what works for you. It's a good area to experiment with. Usually I just say, "Hi X hope you're doing well. Wanted to follow up, are we still on for tomorrow morning/evening?" or the day of the date "Hi X hope you're doing well/weekend went well. Are we still on for today at 7?". I'll mention the weekend if it's a Monday/Tuesday date, just little things I've picked up over time but whatevs. That's …
/r/seduction27/09/19 12:44 PM
1

Yeah it's over investment. Don't do long texts. I've learned over time that long texts can fuck it up unless she's a long texter herself then it's okay. Just keep it short. What do you mean by the opening text part? I didn't understand that. That text you want to send is cool suggest a time though.
/r/seduction26/09/19 06:19 PM
1

That's dope, congrats bro on getting a response. Let's see how it plays out. I'd go with option 3 with a time on it, and add in "quick coffee" so you make it look like you have shit to do and it also makes her feel like you guys wont be stuck together for a long time if she thinks she might not be into you. I always add in the word "quick" when I mention grabbing drinks because I feel it relieves some of the pressure/anxiety on their part. I would also add another day in case she's not free Sund…

Yeah it's conflicting info that might work for other people and not for others. It could be the way it's delivered too, but to each their own. For me it's just about not looking too invested too early.
/r/seduction24/09/19 05:27 AM
1

It sounds like you really want to send that text out lol If you really want to go for it. No harm in seeing what happens it just isn't my style. I've gotten girls numbers on a Tuesday/Monday before and set a date for the following week (up to a Weds/Thurs of the following week) and not text them back until a day or two before to confirm the date. Lots of math in that last sentence my bad lol So that's like 5-6 days of no communication. If they really want to meet up they wont mind the non-commun…
/r/seduction23/09/19 11:03 PM

I disagree with him. I've set up dates for Sunday on Thursdays before and I've been able to land them sometimes. They may say no so along with the Sunday I'll give them an option for Monday or Tuesday. "We can meet up Sunday or Tuesday at 7." If it's on a Friday then I'll try to set up a date for Monday's or Wednesdays as my previous example, and not Sunday cause I think it's too soon.
/r/seduction23/09/19 07:06 PM
1

Imo it's too much investment too early. I keep it simple, but after 3 or so dates then I would definitely do that here and there. edit: You're "showing" too much investment too early.
/r/seduction23/09/19 07:02 PM

Everything looks good to me. I wouldn't do the picture text personally, but I've seen others throw that suggestion around.

I'm happy it worked out for you though, cheers
/r/seduction17/09/19 06:37 PM

That's interesting. I always assume the girl(s) I'm talking to are already talking to other guys which makes it easier on me because it makes me act with low-investment and non-neediness. Eventually once we've been talking for a few months and I see she's actually into me and there's definitely no other guys in the picture then I consider moving it to LTR.

Well there’s your problem you were talking to girls in the same circle lol c’mon man. What you’re saying is bs btw. I’m dating 3 girls atm and I have them all on my IG where I’m pretty active with my stories and posts. One of them used to show little investment and would hang out once in a while. Soon as I added her to my IG she saw I was hanging out not only with the other chicks I’m dating but also female friends I’m not dating and friends in general. Some of the stuff he mentions is actually legit though. For example the girl only liking texts without a text after. The way he maneuvered that was great. I've met a girl who would do that and it was interesting trying to figure out ways to react to that without looking overly invested or needy. Some stuff can be him over-analyzing, but there's great nuggets in the video.

Max left RSD? I wasn't aware of that I thought he was going to transition into the life coach area. Is that why I haven't seen any of his videos in my sub box?

I’ve never seen her talk in public but her book is worth the read. IMO it has really valuable tips that I’ve used a lot. I’ve read her book 4-5 times already. I wouldn’t judge her by her public speaking if the stuff she’s written has great value.

Definitely, I’m not an asshole to people to be edgy or to be different. I have my opinions on things and I stick to them. Often times having a diff opinion than the other person sparks great conversation and if you’re not an asshole about it then it’s a fun time and can be memorable too.

That’s such a negative attitude to have. You can definitely learn to be charismatic just having a positive attitude is a great way to start! Start that way.

If you are looking for a book on charisma check out The Charisma Myth by Olivia Fox Cabane. I've read it from start to finish a few times just to refresh things and it's definitely helped a lot.

I highly disagree, you can definitely learn to be charismatic.

Yeah, but he didn't elaborate on it. Some people can interpret it as being an asshole.

I use my hands a lot when talking (when appropriate) and it personally think it adds a lot of personality to me. Just don't over do it lol

My buddy from college made me interested in it a few years ago and just last week I finally made the decision to go out and buy one. There’s an automatic mode you can use while you learn all that stuff. I’m learning all of it right now lol I bought a notebook and every new term I’ve been learning I’ve been researching it through google and YouTube. Once you go down the rabbit hole you’ll learn a bunch of stuff. There’s also r/askphotography for noobs like me and I’ve been learning through there …

Also photography, I just took it up recently and I hit the ground running. The great thing about it is that it forces you to go outside and take pictures! I’m hitting all the busy places and downtown areas. I’m loving it. Plus a lot of people like their pictures being taken even some that say they don’t, but I’m not implying to take pics of strangers (unless you ask them first of course) but those of your friends and family.

This is a good starting point. You're OVER thinking it man. It really is that simple it just takes tons of practice (aka approaches) and eventually it becomes second nature.

I'm from So Cal so there's a lot of people down here, but absolutely. Who know's how this app is in smaller cities.

I stopped using pof/tinder because of the crazy amount of bots. Hinge is definitely the best app out there. I get a date about once a week/two weeks, and if I'm lucky twice a week. I'm a picky person as well. Idk what it is about Hinge, but compared to cmb, bumble, tinder, etc it's the best by far. Edit: I've yet to encounter a bot, and I've been using it for a few months already.

There's an amazing book that will help you with charisma if you don't have any or know how to build it. It's called "The Charisma Myth" by Olivia Fox Cabane. I've read it a few times just to refresh the small stuff, but the major points are easy to remember. Get it!

Yup, I use throw away accounts to post stuff on here because I don't want it on this account. This is my main one that I use to post on various places, and a couple of real life people know my reddit name.

He went on Joe Rogan's show, and after was found to be somewhat of a fraud that Joe never invited him back. I don't put much weight in what he says.

Same here, I grew up in a city full of gangs and looking at anyone in the eyes who you didn't know was not wise. I lived in that city up until I was 19 so took me a while to break that habit once I started college. Now I have no problem looking at strangers in the eyes when they're passing by or girls for that matter. Just takes time and practice.

Strongly disagree on exclamation points, as long as they're not used all the time they can add emotion to a text.

But they messaging you “why don’t you cook for me??” IS communication. You can then lead that to other things that involve stuff outside just social media.

You're probably referring to the post from yesterday. There were good points in the thread, but there's better ways to relay a message. There were comments praising the guy though so I suppose that's what some people want to hear.

Yea that's my individual outlook on cheating. For me it's black and white. Not sure why you're lumping everyone in this sub together since the comments and upvotes/downvotes vary a lot.

You have a point about not knowing until you're in the situation yourself, but as of now that's just my outlook on it. I just have a really strong stance when it comes to cheating.

I get it, but personally for me I wouldn't have it. I would've ended it right there and then. There's no excuse for that. It's a difference in philosophy when it comes to cheating between the main character, and myself. The kids situation would've eventually work itself out given enough time. That's why it didn't work for me with that area of the story, but the rest was great.

Watched it two days ago because I saw it recommended in this sub. You can definitely take a few things away from the movie, but the fact that he was fighting for a woman who cheated on him ruined it for me. Why? The twist at the end when they're all in the backyard had me crying from laughter though! On the same thread I saw the movie recommended I saw "Yes Man" and "The Secret Life of Walter Smitty" were also mentioned which I really recommend as well. Those had an impact on me.

Thanks for the response, and I definitely understand on not setting hard numbers. One of the things I struggle with is neediness since I'm needy by nature, but I'm always trying to be conscious of it when I'm seeing someone. Quality over quantity is also a great way to put it into perspective. I purposefully limit myself to 3-4 texts per day after the first date when I start seeing someone to put myself on check. This is something I've been trying to work on myself, so your advice helps with som…

Honest question. Is it usually 1 date per week? Is that so it doesn't come off as needy? When is the time where it you start seeing the other person more frequently than that?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
