What makes me angry is the guilty-until-proven-innocent stance that most courts (and, in fact, most countries) take about rape. While I'll certainly be the first to admit that rape is one of the worst crimes you can commit, that doesn't change the fact that justice works on an innocent-until-proven-guilty basis. When you remove that process and assume that the alleged perpetrators are guilty simply because of the severeness of the crime? That's when all justice goes down the drain.

That's a very fair point. However, keep in mind that the charges have to make it to trial for it to be called perjury. Until then, it's just called being a shitty person.

I hate to admit this, but Factory2 is right: you're getting proper fucked by the system. I'm only 19 so I can't relate in the same way other men here can, but I've also been in an abusive relationship; she got me sent to the hospital, she tried to get me for attempted murder (the security camera footage and witnesses at the scene all proved my innocence), etc. It's a tough situation to be in, and I hope for the best for you and your children.
