Yep same shit. She got a job I helped her get (I still make way more than her so to be fair it's not like her salary grew tenfold) but it does seem like she got confidence in herself and decided to go nuclear. It's a strange phenomenon. She also has deep mental health issues and dreamt of a life abroad which just didn't seem entirely realistic at times. You'll be fine as time goes on, I promise. I hit rock bottom in December. I was a mess. I'm so much better now.

I'm in that boat with you too. She will probably paint herself as a victim. Maybe she will act like this is some healing journey for her. That you weren't good enough and she's seeking more. Don't let that shit get to you. I'm going through that now and spoiler alert...she fucking cheated on me lol. This post reads like I could've written it. Hey there, going through the same but I'm a bit past your initial stage. You'll hear a lot right now that will sound like bullshit that you don't want to hear, but I promise it's well intended and true. You will move on, you will get better, life will get better etc. just hang in there. It's hard...and I too felt it was a monumental failure as well. But please don't let that stigma bother you. Try to find therapy, find activities you like and look within yourself to make yourself a better person…
