I don't believe the reason Miguel drank was to show toxic masculinity is dangerous, I think it was more of him doing it cause he sees Johnny do it. As for the others like Hawk, I think one thing Johnny forgot to tell them about in his speech about life not being fair is not to act like a sore loser when it doesn't go your way.
