Make her eat the papers. I'm glad I can laugh in a time like this.

You have no clue what you are doing and are an emotional shell of an adult male who believes he is calm and rational yet is clearly driven by deep seated fear probably derived from an emotionally stunted childhood. - This statement really resonated with me. <Enter> I really don't want to fail at this. I truly do believe that although she is not an ideal mate, she listens to me when I command. However, I have failed in important aspects after the birth of our child that have affected her and have…

We had been fighting for a while. Around 2-3 weeks. On and off. Not justifying it but she says she wanted an idea as to how she would stand if divorce was something I was thinking. One of the fights we had, she packed her things and said she was leaving. I had a perfect poker face and said it was okay. She came back an hour later and apologized. Maybe my not giving a fuck about her leaving probably let her think I didn't give a shit? Not sure... But I believe is the combination of her previous r…

I am searching really hard into red flags and ignoring white flags. But, in't this justifying her behavior? So one thing, I think overall, she is an honest person. I confronted her today about the lawyer and she said she asked about the divorce fee but that's it. She didn't commit to a meeting (as I had assumed) or actually pay for the consultation. This lawyer is a friend, reason why some people are confused whether or not this is a friend or a lawyer. He is both. Anyways... We are in a really …

What I did wrong was not vetting her long enough to find out what her values were. I can't instill a instincts or fix her past. She is defending herself and that's fine. But I don't wanna pay for what someone else did to her. There's only so much I can control. Even though she shows up in most aspects, getting a lawyer to so she can pull the trigger in what we're building is not tolerable. Getting mad and packing shit is one thing. Actually scheming is another. Fuck that.

I put progress in quotes because it sounds like a cliche, not because I'm opposed to it. I honestly can say I do want her to do something if she can and is able to. I love that about her. I got her a laptop for a business she is working on and wants be on board on, I ask questions about it, showed her online schools, have gotten her two vacation trips back to the state to visit friends, I've requested in multiple occasions her HS diploma from her country to get it translated and use it for colle…

I don't want my wife to stay at home. Reason why we have planned and are moving back to the state we have help for the baby. Right now, it's not financially feasible to put baby in daycare. She's not missing out on a career. She would not make enough money... It sucks being in the house all day but there's other things she can do which I've suggested to keep her busy. Regardless of that... I've compromised my current job to go back earlier so we can put baby in daycare and we can both "progress"…

To make sure I'm acting logically and not out of fear of getting fucked few years down the road.

Balk for now... Who guarantees she won't be resentful and act on revenge a few years down the road?

Wondering if her talking to a lawyer is as bad as her fucking some random dude. It is a violation of trust. On one side, her actions tell me she wants to be a mother/wife (cleaning, cooking, constantly asks me for my opinion, initiates sex) but on the other, she contacted a lawyer to get info on divorce. Don't want to make a decision out of fear.

My income is enough for bills and pleasure. Did not plan the kid. she was used to working a lot right before she came to New state.

The current state is gender neutral when it comes to divorce. I want baby to stay with me. State we're going to, no chance I'll get it.

Isn't it too risky, to not act now? Acting now protects me better than acting later. Isn't her paying for a lawyer now telling me what she's preparing to do in the future? I have already filed for divorce, however, I have not served her yet. I completely understand her side of this whole thing. Reason why we're moving a year earlier than intended (July this year) to state we have support for baby. But this is the state the lawyer she talked to works in. She paid for this divorce consultation. Sh…

I agree with the first two paragraphs. It is tough. For the both of us. As much as an emotional ice block I may sound, I have been present throughout everything in every aspect. It is very tiring. I was not supposed to be going back until next year but we talked about our lack of support and decided to go back around July this year. So there, we have a plan and deadline. Few weeks after that, flew mother in for a little break and went on a vacation (this is month 2.5 of baby). Around month 3, th…

That's my train of thought as well. However, her attitude towards doesn't tell me attraction is lost on her part. I still get sex when I ask for it. Never been an issue. But she is getting ready for a separation. She has mentioned this on the past ad well. She doesn't want to be stranded the day I decide to fuck her but that isn't my plan. The fact she paid for a lawyer does not give me peace of mind.

What kind of material stuff are you talking about? Of course I can't cover EVERY aspect of my life in a post, but if you ask things that are crucial I'll answer.

Shit happened. I slipped on one aspect and adjusted accordingly. Do I lift as much as I'd like to? No... But I'm not a slob either. I do agree on not wearing a rubber and getting her knocked up, but what's done is done.

I meant in our relationship. Can my trust for her be rebuilt after seeing she paid for a divorce consultation with a lawyer?

It is as the baby won't be able to leave the state but it is an issue in the long term since I do want to go back to the state we came from. I'll ask you again, is there any going back from this? In our relationship I mean. Once sometime passes, just the thought she is getting advice on how to prepare for a separation makes me question anything we'd do as a marriage. Getting a house, plans, etc... Besides confronting her about the lawyer issue, is divorce my only resource for self defense? Right…

The house is indeed 110%. She cleans, cooks, washes, etc. I don't have any complaints about that. I am my number one priority and do what is best for me and for the marriage. However, when she contacts a lawyer, she threatens our marriage. Am I supposed to ignore it?

I have lawyered up since I was advised this was the best thing to do so I don't end up paying for her attorney fees. I have not served her yet as I intend to confront her first and listen to her side. Is there any going back from this? I feel like I have two choices: 1. If I don't make a decision, I will be upset with myself when she divorces me in five years and gets half of my shit plus alimony. I will be mad I didn't act now. 2. If I do make a decision now, I will be wondering whether or not …

I was trying to simplify the story. When she suggested it I asked her what her plan was. She replied with: I'll come up with one when the baby is in daycare and I have time to think". What am I doing? I take care of everything that is financial. I work, pay for bills and groceries, etc. I have also set up a savings account for baby's college and prepared for our future moving plans. In addition to that, I am going to school for my graduate school (online) and also go to the gym as much as I can.…

I have tried to see her side of things from different angles but this is a different kind of shit test. We are planning to move to a State. She talked/is talking to a lawyer from that State of divorce advice because I did not fully agree on daycare. I am questioning everything she is telling me because of this. Sadly, I need to lawyer up first in case she does it first and I end up paying for lawyer fees. Is there any coming back from this? What kind of person even thinks of getting a lawyer, ev…

I am in shape. It does not make sense financially for her to go to work. Her background? Was married before. Her ex took all their money and left the country. She is impulsive. Seeing her messages with the lawyer and that they had a conversation in Snapchat after that, tells me she is preparing for when we go back to the State in which we met. If I don't take action now, she will fuck me later in finances, child support, etc. There are a lot of things that makes me question her loyalty to our ma…
