This is exactly why I got into RP stuff. I eventually lost it but probably not for the best reasons. A part of it was it was something new and a fun thing I got to do but another reason why I did it was bc I couldn’t stand being a virgin at 22 and I told myself ‘no matter what I won’t be a 23 yo virgin’ I simply wouldn’t accept that.

I think TRP is true on a micro level and in certain situations, But they do a really good job at looking at phenomenons that exist and exaggerating them enough so it fits their narrative. They may use out of context or misrepresented stats to confirm their biases

The whole alpha thing is just a meme at the end of the day. Kinda sad but also funny that RP actually takes stuff like it that seriously.

I was raised catholic/Christian and dads ironically a scientist and rather liberal but was still very strict about it. I’ve dabbled with Zen Buddhism before but never went really into it. I would recommend that tbh

r/bropill is pretty good

That makes sense. On their podcast they express their opinions on TRP which are overall neutral but They’re appealing because unlike RP they have a pretty positive message to their videos overall. The results have been pretty decent in my experience though

No but the concept is spot on. If you aren’t a so called “alpha” you need to compete with other dudes if you don’t want to be invisible in the dating scene or really any social circles. It’s also correct that if you’re a “beta” you aren’t going to be as respected. I know the alpha beta stuff isn’t true, but there is a social hierarchy of men and if choose not to pay attention to that then everyone(not just women) will trust another guy who is more of something. Simply because he’s more a man tha…

A lot of the “hard truths” are things you realize when you get out in the real world. I think it’s cringe that TRP thinks it’s special because it identifies them.

I honestly don’t mind most of alpha m’s channel and find his videos a good alternative to red pill stuff, even then the whole alpha bad boy thing is a bit goofy and hard to take seriously.

His YouTube name is Destiny. Hes a gamer/streamer but also talks about political topics and does debates

He doesn’t show his face but I think the debate with the streamer Steven bonnel (Destiny) and coach red pill is always entertaining to watch.

Honestly, I find myself have some RP biased opinions and don’t agree with some things this sub says and vice versa. I adopted red pill narratives for reasons unrelated to dating such as confidence, and being more assertive, having better social skills, taking care of yourself more, etc. What I’ve discovered you don’t need the red pill to achieve any of those, and the red pill or Jordan Peterson didn’t invent the idea of improving yourself. Like you said, it’s the way those values are communicate…

Then the relationship starts to have issues and then there’s marriage counseling and the parents fight a lot etc. and all that negatively effects kids...it happens a lot but I’m not against families, they just have to work and much of the time they don’t

Red pill and incels are a part of the “manosphere” so there’s some overlap. They borrow a lot of terms and phrases from each other

Who gives a fuck about these pills. Live your own life, and if you need some masculinity coach to tell you how to live that’s a sad way to live

I think he’s technically red pill and has advocated it, but he’s one of the very few who have good advice. Some of it is questionable tho

You don’t need some imaginary pill to “go your own way”

Jordan Peterson’s fan base is sort of cult like, but he is insightful and some of his advice is very helpful. He even criticizes a lot of what we would know as manosphere communities

I guess A lot of Altrighters will use Red pill stuff bc they’re all about being extreme conservative including gender roles. But that’s not all of them bc some RP creators include AMS, Darius M, LivingALifeOfAbundance, etc there’s a lot of non white people and even moderate to left leaning who are in the red pill communities

On TRP subs it seems like so many people are saying this one RP you tuber and that guy is a poser. A lot of fake people apparently

Sure, but you can be in touch with your emotions with the purpose of learning how to control them or just being aware of them rather than suppressing

Stand up for yourself, don’t be too nice of you’ll be taken advantage of constantly. There’s no alphas or betas but people who’d be seen as alpha typically go farther and get more out if social and sex lives while people who may be more “beta” will have to work extra hard. Also dating lives become more machine like if you start too late(early 20s I consider too late). What I mean is you need to focus on yourself, lift, develop a social life etc. if you want to date and haven’t yet if you’re in u…

Yes and no. I would probably be able to actually be friends with women and genuinely connect, which is something a lot of other guys have to do mental gymnastics to get over. At the same time I’d want to keep my sex drive bc it’s natural but it’s something that needs to be controlled. That’s a reason I’d keep it rather than just throwing it away. If you can master both sides I feel you can be more complete...

Bc they have issues and extremely low self esteem and use shit like OF to cope

I don’t take TRP verbatim. But all the self improvement advice found anywhere other than TRP/PUA is pretty watered down. Why improve yourself? Bc you’re the special little angel your parents raised you?? No it’s bc what your parents and literally everyone until you hit ur 20s gave you horrible advice and the basic jUsT bE yOuRsElF type of advice is watered down and generally not as helpful even if it’s the exact same advice. In RP/PUA communities the rhetoric is that you aren’t the loser you wer…

I used to be a part of this sub but I’m trying the RP lifestyle out instead of bashing it. I ignore the narcissistic and misogynistic stuff And just use it as motivation. Really seems like there’s a lot of cope on this sub like there’s a lot of people who wish they could get laid but can’t so they bash the lifestyle...

Well, women aren’t either so....🤷🏼‍♂️. Don’t want to bring up the standard RP argument but do you honestly want someone who isn’t providing or who isn’t on a higher class than you? I’ll admit I’m not too experienced with relationships, but I’m open to the whole rotation thing, but also when it comes to LTRs I know it’s not going to be permanent, it’s really until it runs it’s course. I honestly believe that both partners should lead their own life’s and guide each other when needed, and if it la…

CRP is a bit of an angina. for someone who tries to be on some “alpha” high horse, he got so offended by destiny and lost his shit like a little bitch. Steven’s full of shit too, don’t get me wrong but that one debate was an embarrassment for CRP

So in other words people who are sensible/smart don’t believe in it? Fair enough, but how do you explain people like rollo tomasi or Jordan Peterson, or anyone else with good credentials and are actually smart?

“It points out this thing, that happens to a very few people who make it to being kings or celebs etc. And then says ‘and if you can’t do that you’re shit out of luck’” That sounds more like what an incel would say. TRP says that society has feminized men so regardless of looks you need to be “high value”. Like becoming physically fit, work on financial independence, etc. TRP is rather defeatist in implying that if you’re blue pilled you’re going to fail in life, which is why you need to be “red…

Who are big names in the red pill that support rape? I’m sure there are some but people like Rollo Tomasi are harder to dispute since he has daughters

I’m not sure. He acknowledges that it is shallow overall
/r/ExRedPill02/10/20 05:21 AM

He’s very unique and is unconventional when it comes to the self help type of videos. He acknowledges that TRP and PUA are negative but he encourages it if people want to try it because it’s a hedonistic stage people go through before moving on to something more meaningful. So basically it’s good for the short term but there are more meaningful things in life so you have to move on from TRP eventually from what I understand. I guess you could say he has a “purple pill” approach

I really am curious bc I’ve had A learning disability similar to dyslexia since I was ten years. My mom has thought I was on the autism spectrum but I really think TRP made me develop narcissistic tendencies. I was wondering this bc rpers and people who are more conservative in general frame anyone with a different opinion as mentally ill (only applies to extreme conservatives and there’s nothing inherently wrong with being conservative). But it maybe the opposite is true
/r/ExRedPill22/09/20 05:53 AM
2

Sure. But as a whole they stress me out due to gender specific flaws they have, that’s the one thing TRP has right. They can be fun to hang out with and talk to. I haven’t had too much intellectual conversations with women, but I have shared meaningful and emotional aspects of my life with women. In terms of emotional aspects of my life it is easier to share that with women bc they for some reason seem more open to listening to that kind of stuff.

I try not to think they’re pointless but I understand why some might and I understand why I might sometimes. (This may be long so bear with me) A unique example i have is I also have a friend from high school that Ive been talking to for three years (I’m heading into fourth year of community college). Since last month we had been drifting apart and I think the friendship has run it’s course at this point. I met her in a class senior year and she has pretty severe ADHD so she is very talkative an…

Yes I actually have heard that two gay men or women can’t have successful friendships for the same reason. And also I am bisexual but I’m more hetero leaning. Making friends can be very difficult for me for a different reason, but in general my friendships with guys is a little bit easier. However if I got close enough with I think the same issue might happen
/r/ExRedPill01/09/20 02:45 AM

Exactly. I’m bisexual, more hetero leaning, unless I really have a connection with a guy, guy friends are a going to be easier. Most of the girls I’m friends with I wouldn’t want to date or have sex with if I didn’t know them, but it just happens that way...

Came across the red pill last year. I had a platonic female friend that I was getting mixed vibes from and it made me very confused and I got pretty friend zoned. I looked up videos on how to communicate with women and I came across Elliot Hulse and Matt Cross videos which I found ridiculous at the time so I didn’t touch them until a few months ago when I was on the fence about it. Wasn’t particularly happy At either time so my mental state wasn’t ideal. was pretty socially isolated and lonely w…

He’s helpful for some aspects (like other RP advice) but If you’re trying to distance yourself from TRP I’d stay away from him. Plus, the positive red pill talking points like building confidence, being assertive and improving your physique can come from anywhere that isn’t RP anyways.
/r/ExRedPill03/08/20 10:11 PM

First off, this is only my experience, and I understand I might have not been clear enough to with my point. So to clarify, I’m not meaning to endorse RP nor do I claim to be a part of it. I’m saying the negative parts of it have influenced me and the problem is It isn’t easy for me to “just be confident”

I know what you mean. I’ve noticed that red pillers are really obsessed with women. Sometimes even more obsessed with women than actual men’s issues

Idk. I don’t have a strong interest in dating them. I only have a few tbh. But The friend I’m the most close with and talk to the most often I met my senior year of high school. First reason I wouldn’t date her is she is gay. Second is I had a very different personality back then than I do now and there were things that we had to relate to each other but Im entering my fourth year of college and I’m a much different person. Now I’m beginning to realize we don’t have much in common or share too m…

I do not hate women. My frustration isn’t even with women. If anything, for me it’s really men I have a problem with bc they always shame other men for being too feminine. Something I should’ve added in there. The stigma that men aren’t manly enough is what really attracts me to red pill, not me being frustrated with women refusing to date me dating. It’s a struggle of giving into the ideology for me.

My goal is not to get laid but to be in a romantic relationship where we help each other in our lives, also to be as comfortable with anyone I speak in order to make friends or connections, male or female. To be clear I do not hate women at all. Some people in my life have told me that they would never have guessed that Im uncomfortable talking to women, but I personally have noticed my interactions with women seem forced and fake as a result of my discomfort, while If I talk to a guy, my intera…
