No, I don't know of any progressive politician pushing for something like that. Sounds like a straw man. But if you find one, which I doubt you will, then I encourage you to look at all the issues, and not just focus on that one. Is that good? No, but their opponent is potentially far worse on a host of other issues, which may or may not affect you directly. You can empathize with people other than white men.

Look at US history. 99% of the politicians have been white men. How is that not running things? I am not saying that white men are looking out for other white men, because that's not the case.
