Is this for real? I have always considered myself a loser when it comes to women and at the age of 35 I am still fairly inexperienced, but those experiences I have had have either involved the woman initiating, or perhaps some low level bumbling flirting from me (i.e. in my mind maybe I was flirting but really I just liked them and was talking to them) followed by them taking the lead i.e. by suddenly making out with me at a party or a bar or whatever. Or on one occasion, I drunkenly asked a gir…

haha that's amazing. This chick was trying to act like some sort of sexual philosopher and she was just quoting from a movie.

Just by the way, is that tennis analogy something they teach in sex ed or something? My ex (big slut) also used the "it's a fun activity, like playing tennis" explanation on me once. Bitch had never played a point of tennis in her life. Also, it's obviously a terrible analogy because if sex was as inconsequential as playing tennis then I guess adults would be getting paid to train 8 year olds how to have sex, parents would be encouraging their kids to have sex for fitness, sex wouldn't get you p…

haha this is mad, I'm literally a 34 year old single lawyer. My job is extremely stable but only pays moderately and I own a shitty car (never been interested in cars) and don't own my own home (I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world and most of my unmarried peers don't own a home either, but I'm aware it's still a factor). Since coming out of my second long term relationship I have recently been genuinely "dating" for the first time in my life. I have not had a lot of success b…

This is useless anecdotal evidence but fuck it- I haven't had a lot of sexual partners, but with the experience I do have, I haven't found any correlation between experience and good sex. I was in a 4+ year relationship with a woman who was very "sex positive" and had had somewhere around 40-50 partners. Sex with her started off good but was weird in a lot of ways. She had good knowledge of the mechanics of things but often seemed quite emotionally disconnected. She was probably the hardest wome…

yo is "giving up the booze" an American thing, a PPD thing or a young people thing? I'm from New Zealand and in my 30s, and "giving up the booze" is not really on my radar or anyone's radar that I know, in terms of turning your life around. Going out and getting drunk once in a while plus having a few drinks with friends semi-regularly is like....how normal people socialise.

Maybe this isn't so much a PPD-specific comment....but I am 33 and while most of my peers are at least in relationships, I would say less than 50% have kids and if they do, the kids are babies or toddlers at oldest. Basically we are pretty evenly split between "recently married and started having kids" or "in a relationship but no kids" or single. Whenever I hear about 30-somethings on reddit, they seem to be described (or describe themselves) as a lot more "advanced" in life than my peers, and …
