Who cares what religion/pseudo-religion she is?

I think a lot of the time those hashtags are troll accounts/satire. Some of the time they are unironic, though, which is pretty shit.

I do begrudge it. If my mother, father, girlfriend, best friend, etc. killed someone in cold blood as this vicious woman did, I wouldn't try to paint them for anything. I would renounce them and rightly so. They do not deserve sympathy. They do not deserve pity. They do not deserve to be painted in any light other than the light that THEY painted themselves in. She was a murderer. She deserved less than suicide (and more than 25 years). Her family should not continue what amounts to an indirect …

That's what I said in my latest post. Coed should be allowed if necessary until 10-12, then segregated.

This was the case with me and soccer at my high school growing up. I flat wasn't allowed to play. I and a few others were pretty pissed, but looking back I can understand why, especially at that age. If we factor in age, I don't really think there needs to be gender barriers up to, say, 10-12. After that, I think the barriers keep competition fair. It sucks when you can't play the sport you want; I know firsthand. Sometimes, that's just life.

I will say that I do not think Keeling should be demonized. I'm just not sold on the fact that he should be allowed to play. Some part of me just wants to take the Gordian Knot way out and say, "Who cares who plays where? It's just a game," but I know that will never be a reality.

I came here to say just this. I'm surprised no one has backed you up or repeated you. I'm even more surprised that someone thinks you're "missing the point". Keep fighting the good fight by staying rational!

No, he is exactly right. Men are scientifically/biologically better at sports. Take the fastest man in the world and put him up against the fastest woman in the world, and the man will win ten out of ten times. It IS a big deal when Sam Gordon (or any female) does well in a male-dominated sport, let alone dominates like she is doing (granted, she's just a kid and this will change when puberty comes along, like another redditor said). This isn't gender discrimination; it's done in the name of fai…

Yeah it absolutely evokes that image as well as reminding me of when delusional men say something like, "She wouldn't dress like that if she didn't want it," to justify rape. That's an extreme comparison, but it is a quite similar concept.

These are my favorite. Basically every week I will get a woman saying something to the effect of "Real men don't hit women.", which I of course agree with. I then proceed to comment "Real women don't slap men." or "Real women don't kick men in the groin." or, my personal favorite, "Real people don't harm other people." Always someone will comment something like "Well, if he deserves it it's okay." or "Doing some things deserves slapping." And that's when I sarcastically tell him/her I should sla…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
