| -1 | Saw these guys at Dragon*ConWhile penile cancer is extremely unlikely the others are not so unlikely that they are to be ignored. The reasons for circumcision might be again, medical (to avoid any of these complications) or religious. One day as a parent I would be very reluctant to have my son circumcised simply to avoid the risk of one of these problems. The only reason you've given for why the foreskin shouldn't be removed is not a medical reason but a right to one's body which is only recognizable by someone who is als… | /r/MensRights | 09/09/15 11:15 PM |
| -1 | Saw these guys at Dragon*ConYour argument that there is no legitimate reason for circumcision is actually incorrect. There are many types of infections and problems that a child can have if they are not circumcised, more so they can be avoided if circumcised. Inflammation can occur which is commonly caused by irritants such as bubble baths and dirty diapers. Infections such as posthitis and balanitis which are normally caused by poor hygiene. It wouldn't call most kids hygienic by the way. Repeated infections can cause sca… | /r/MensRights | 09/09/15 10:21 PM |
| -1 | Saw these guys at Dragon*ConI agree but you can't deny that when you were young your parents made all the decisions for you. So that saying "my body belongs to me" is great and all but as an infant you had very little control of your own body. Imagine if kids just started saying "I only eat $50 steaks." That ridiculous but they're in control of their own body. While this is an abstraction the point is still the same. Kids don't have the capacity to make all of their own decisions so parents, assuming they're doing what's b… | /r/MensRights | 09/09/15 09:46 PM |
| -1 | Saw these guys at Dragon*ConWhile not medically necessary it is a decision that, at least for now, belongs to the parents. Whether it is for medical (hygiene) or religious reasons it is not something I'm going to get my panties in a jumble about. Also I'm not sure that you're going to be able to find many reasonable people who will willingly argue that circumcision is tantamount to genital piercings and tattoos..... just no. | /r/MensRights | 09/09/15 06:16 PM |
| 1 | Saw these guys at Dragon*ConThe only problem is that infants aren't necessarily great at decision making. | /r/MensRights | 09/09/15 11:11 AM |
| -1 | 19 year old boy forced to register as a sex offender even after 14 year old told police and judge she had lied about being 17.She must have been a very mature looking 14 year old. I just turned 20 and my brother, 16, has friends, girls and boys, over and I remember thinking how much younger they look than me recently. It made me feel kinda old. I don't agree with his punishment but at the same time he wasn't thinking. | /r/MensRights | 01/08/15 07:56 PM |
