Thank you Bernie Sanders! I remember reading about someone in my college who was brought up on rape / sexual assault charges. He was instantly expelled. The person who brought him up on the charges didn't even go to the college.

I think forcing polygraphs may be a step in the right direction. That way if a female lies about being raped to get back at a male, she will be caught. Same goes for males, they should take one also to either provide more evidence for innocence or guilt.

I read this article somewhere two years ago where this teenage girl accused a teenage guy of raping her. He knew she was lying and so did his mom. They wanted her to take a polygraph test but couldn't because of some law (maybe it was the 5th amendment?). I'll have to look for it.

That's assuming the man can prove the rape charge is wrong. In a court case, a woman who was allegedly raped can decline to answer any questions (forgot what law dictates this) and that's basically it. Unless you have an alibi, there is no way you can disprove a rape. TL;DR: Your ass is grass if you get a rape charge.

We need to overhaul the justice system. Cases like these are substantial evidence that we are in desperate need of revision. Not only that but society needs to get the notion that "only males rape females" and "females cannot rape males" out of their head. It's sickening to read that a woman who rapes a male gets a laughable punishment while a male who would've done the same thing would've gotten worse.
