First of all, I don't expect that the Catholic Church will ever "abolish celibacy." I expect that eventually they will abolish the requirement that all priests be celibate, but maintain the option for those priests who choose it, while still requiring bishops to be celibate. This is in fact the exact system that the Orthodox Church has employed successfully for centuries, and which the Catholic Church itself is thought to have used until the 11th century. I would say that Pope Francis has mainta…

Ignoring the blatant anti-Catholic/anti-theistic bigotry shown by some in this thread, I'll make one observation. Pope Francis is obviously not giving advice on "sexual strategy," being celibate. Aside from the issue of nuances often getting lost in translation, he is addressing "machismo," which can refer to a false or faked image of ultra-masculinity arising from low self-confidence, which is often not consistent with a genuine sense of masculinity. That being said, the Catholic Church is one …

Not being "sexually sated" doesn't cause rape. There's such a thing as prostitutes. There are plenty of men who don't get laid much or at all who don't go around sexually assaulting women. Feminists would just like people to falsely believe that it's much more common than it really is.

Her: Actually, my problem is solved, I am rid of you. Youre still misserable and alone cause youre a cocky douche. At that point is when you tell her to fuck off and then click ignore. If she's not pleasant and feminine from the start, don't waste your time.

There are tons of married and sexually active people who molest children. Pastors, teachers, daycare workers, etc., and most often, relatives. That argument is ridiculous.

It seems her feminist detractors have a poor grasp of history. There have been rich and well-known screen actresses since the advent of silent films in the 1890s. Yet supposedly any successful actress on the eve of 2015 owes that success to "decades" of feminism (presumably starting with the "second wave" of the ideology in the 1960s). It seems they have gotten their math wrong, or simply ignored the facts altogether, which is more likely.

Well, can't say I'm surprised. The spread of gay marriage in the last few years really made this inevitable, legally. Not that it really bothers me much, but I would go even further, and completely remove the government from marriage. In other words, let any two or more consenting adults enter into a civil union as a legal financial arrangement. And leave marriage ceremonies to religious or other social institutions. This would simplify the whole situation quite a bit and would respect the integ…

It's safe to say that the U.S. already reached the peak of its power and is on a gradual decline. "Collapse" may be too strong of a word. Eventually the economic strain of pursuing a global empire causes a nation to over-extend itself. A good solution would be a deliberate return to the Constitution, however unlikely that may be. This would require downsizing the military-industrial complex and only invading other nations with a congressional declaration of war for valid defensive reasons.

Correct, it's a different author. In fact, one of Dr. Seuss' books from my own childhood, Horton Hatches the Egg (written in 1940, incidentally) had a quite different message.

So, I tried this experiment myself a couple weeks ago. Somehow I was banned within one day. Not sure how they caught me so quickly, or why they actually considered it worth banning me. On the other hand, I did message a huge number of women with that line, in a very short time period. Just for fun I used a proxy server to make several more accounts and repeat the process, but those accounts were banned even quicker. I also was banned on POF for the same thing. But, after 4 years on OKCupid, I ca…
