Look on Amazon for body cameras. There are tons that are small and just clip to your shirt other collar. Very small from factor and do not look like the ones cops wear. Even ones that hang on a lanyard or necklace. Get one and cover your ass. My job requires me to go to multiple sites with many different types of people. I got one to cover my ass. If anyone asks what it is or why I wear it, I simply say its to have a video/audio record of what I do during work for my documentation.

Yes, but as you can see in the video, she came at him fast. The other officer got there as fast as he could but what would you have the original officer do? Backpedal of just stand there while he is approached like that? Backpedaling gives a suspect time to draw a weapon, or charge at full speed. Best to maintain control. The thing is officer safety. She wouldn't have gotten body slammed if she had not charged the officer.

Well like I said, we didn't get to see what led up to this video. Maybe she was attacking people, threatening to do so, damaging property. Who knows. But the officer walked up to make contact with her in a non threatening manner. No gun drawn, no tazer out. And she responded by being aggressive and threatening. Police forces are not larger enough to be able to wait for more officers for every call. You have to be able to handle the situation by yourself as much as possible. He did.

Neither you or I have seen what transpired beyond the take down. I don't think they were knocked out. If you have evidence of that, such as a news report stating it, please post it. That didn't even come close to trying to kill that person. There are many ways to take someone down but, when faced with someone approaching in that aggressive manner the best course of action is to overwhelm and subdue and a controlled body slam is just about the best way to do it. You notice that as soon as they were taken down, the fight was over. That is the result that you go for. So no need to escalate the encounter any further.
