If you’re not inspired then don’t do it, unless it’s more money or benefits like more time off, because both of those things make a crappy job better. However if you decide to make a lateral move or a move up remember that you’re moving up. You aren’t required to already have that position before you start that position. You can leverage your experience doing some project management to get a project manager job. Talking yourself up is strategic.
