No. He's a 13 year old boy. Of course he thinks like this. This is the issue. He is not mature enough to understand the impact this will have on his mental health. This is why we have to advocate for these boys.

The biggest detriment to their movement, which started off with noble intentions, is that today's feminists treat it like a zero-sum game. Women's achievements do not have to be men's detriments. We need to focus on improving the lives of everyone.

This has nothing to do with protecting women. This has nothing to do with men's rights. Sleazy legislators wanna word the bill like their interests are protecting women and children, that only criminals would want encryption. They want to imply that if you oppose the bill you must not care about the safety of our women and children. It's misleading and despicable. It absolutely disgusts me. The real issue here isn't that men are being portrayed as predators because that's hardly the true intent.…

Anything other than an enthusiastic "yes" is not consent. I guess I've been raping my wife all these years. No, there are plenty of context clues. Why do I get the feeling you're not here to learn our be open minded. You're arguments are really half-hearted and weak. Feminists don't seem to understand that one individual's rights end where another's begin. Feminists DON'T have the right to systematically oppress men and boys!
/r/MensRights03/06/14 11:34 AM

Feminism doesn't care to change things where women have an advantage at the expense of men. Feminists don't want true equality. Look at selective service for example. You don't see too many feminists clamoring to require women to sign up for the draft! In fact any time the issue is brought up the feminist logic is, "let's abolish it because women are too important to have to sign up for selective service." Our society views males as disposable. Boys are falling way behind girls in school because…

She could have put the other woman's name on it. Now that would have been a court battle i'd root for. Or left it blank. See, I can't fault her here. She couldn't put her spouse's name on the BC at the time because the laws that would have allowed that were non-existent when she gave birth. Could she have left it blank? Absolutely. It doesn't matter what she claims. His name is on the certificate. The only way a man gets out of something like that is with a paternity test within the first year of the child's birth. There's no way to know if it was place there against the father's will or in spite of any verbal agreement that he not be legally responsible. A paternity test doesn't solve anything in this case, for obvious reasons. The ONLY law in place that would have absolved him from legal responsibility wasn't passed unti…

It sounds like the law that was put in place to prevent that sort of thing wasn't passed til after the fact. I understand that. What I was alluding to is that the only thing the clause in the will may protect is the individual's intellectual property and I don't think it will actually prevent the songs from being used in commercials should someone obtain the copyrights and desire to do so. I also stated that that really didn't matter either way because the issue here is dealing with a parody, not the actual songs.
/r/MensRights01/12/13 05:24 PM

I should clarify that I'm not a lawyer but that is my understanding of the law. If anyone wants to clarify or correct me they are welcome to.
/r/MensRights01/12/13 02:54 PM

The only thing they can protect is intellectual property, meaning the sound of their voices singing the songs. Someone can purchase the rights and reproduce the songs with other artists and sell those as they see fit, much like what Michael Jackson did with the Beatles. Either way this is still parody and protected for the sake of free speech.

/r/MensRights08/09/13 04:08 PM

I don't think you understand. How old are you? When I want to meet women, I don't wanna spend a lot of time and money doing so. Going to a club that doesn't attract women is not a place I'm going to spend my money. I might go out once every third weekend, does that mean I prioritize my life around women? I guess you're the judge here. Also, if I'm just looking to "go have fun" with friends I'd rather go to a restaurant/bar than a night club.
/r/MensRights08/09/13 03:55 PM
-5

What it actually ends up meaning is that I can't afford to go at all... Which is the VERY reason they charge more. They don't want broke men in the club. Too many of those put off all the attractive women and not enough attractive women means the men who are WILLING to pay are going elsewhere. So now you're left with a room full of broke neckbeards. You need to make payroll! Its a business model that ensures you stay in business. Have you ever actually BEEN to a club? When I go out to meet women…
/r/MensRights08/09/13 03:29 PM
-1

Its no so much charging men more as much as its charging women less to attract more.
/r/MensRights08/09/13 03:07 PM
-2

I don't mind. I think its a good business model. I WANT more women at a club! Just think of it as the management trying to facilitate more hookups. Its better for everybody.

Like I said, I have no opinion on the matter. I understand both sides of the matter but I really don't find much issue with the practice. What I find amusing is that the same people that fight over genital mutilation have no issue with abortion. Why are the child's rights important on one issue but not the other? Why is it when it comes to a relatively safe, mostly harmless procedure that's been in practice for millennia, MR is up in arms. But ending the child's life is OK?

Egalitarianism = equal rights for everyone. Feminism = rights over men + status quo where it benefits women Prime example right now would be the draft.
