I offer no relationship advice with regard to dating an American girl, but I can let you know that her being American will not cause there to be spousal support/alimony between unmarried partners

California has an old court case (Marvin v. Marvin, "palimony[1] ") that raises the bare possibility of "alimony" where there was a promise of lifetime support between unmarried partners, but essentially there's no spousal support for a non-spouse. Summary of the case for your purposes here: Do NOT make any promises to her that you will take care of or support her. Make it clear to her that you will do your half of supporting the child, but that if you two split, she should not expect support. T…

mattress girl is ruining a guys life for no reason, and so on...nobody feels sorry for a man. I noticed this trend as I read comments. Plenty of people condemn mattress girl, and yet every single one of them said something like "This is terrible, she's making it harder for future women to be believed" No one is concerned about the guy's ruined reputation/school experience/graduation. Let that sink in.

BP is sometimes even worse. They know the rules of the game and refuse to play effectively because they don't like the rules. That's even worse than ignorance.

Don't give these girls the satisfaction of bedding you. Great post overall, but I disagree with the end part. Absolutely sleep with that girl if she's hot, but make sure you understand never to make her into an LTR. Her attractiveness alone earns her the privilege of being a pump and dump for you; her back burner treatment disqualifies her from being relationship material.

Think of it this way. Men could separate women into a 10 scale and each category would have 10% of the female population, more or less. I don't think that's right at all. I think on the 1-10 scale, women would fall into a normal curve distribution. 10% of the population are not 1's nor are 10% 10's.

That's just their culture! You can't judge them for their culture, especially when they were only forced into acting this way because the WEST oppresses them or something like that.

To everyone concerned about this policy, remember this: Truth is not a democracy. One man can speak the truth and it doesn't matter if a million disagree with him, call him names, try to shame him, or whatever. There's only the truth, and it certainly doesn't care how many people agree with it.

No, my point is that you can't do that. Taking $100 bucks a week, claiming you're blowing it on drinking, and then burying it in the backyard requires years of planning to be worth it. How is it that you know years in advance to plan for a divorce?

It's not taking money from an atm that lands you jailtime. It's the part where you try to defraud the divorce process by hiding assets that you're required to disclose.

My time to shine! YES! There is a way to protect your assets, EVEN IF you failed to get a pre-nup! It's a family law rule called transmutation. Basically, you can change an asset that's currently "community property" into separate property. How do you do this? It's simple legally, but may be difficult maritally. All you need to do is have your wife sign a document that says an item is being turned into your separate property! For example, suppose you buy some baseball cards worth 10k after a yea…

if it's truly in the mother's name and not shared between the mother and son then the wife can't take it If it's always been in your mom's name (not just transferred right before the divorce), your wife ain't getting the house in the divorce.

That's actually similar to the default in the US in community property states like California. A prenup here lets you change almost any aspect of a normal marriage (nothing about kids allowed though). In the US, you need to do the following for your prenup to hold up though: Both of you get separate lawyers You give it to her enough in advance that it wouldn't be considered pressuring her before the wedding. Nothing in it is illegal or "unconscionable" (grossly unfair) like "If her weight goes a…

You seem to be in need of an accountant more than a lawyer, if your wife is on board. I'd talk to a finances expert since you're just trying to maximize financial efficiency

Spouses have a legal obligation to become self-sufficient over time, so your 2-3 cushion from property would be fine. If there's still money owed, the house will likely be sold, the debt paid down, and the remaining equity split.
/r/TheRedPill10/03/15 08:14 PM

Youd need to live in CA 6 months prior to filing here. You could, in the meantime, file in Georgia to prevent this.

You can have a lawyer write your prenup so that you say "This asset is separate as well as any increase to it due to community efforts". The problem with this is that if your wife works to increase it's value during the marriage, she would still get nothing for that work, which might lead a judge to rule it "unconscionable" (really unfair) and throw it out if she's getting screwed.
/r/TheRedPill10/03/15 06:03 PM
3

Spousal support can be waived IN A PRENUP as long as she doesnt become a burden. The judge won't waive it though if there's no prenup. If she needs the house to raise the kids, she'll probably get it and you'll get just other kinds of assets, like maybe the car or just more cash. If your community doesnt have that many assets, the house may just be sold and the money split. It would be a weird deal to broker where you both keep joint ownership of the house as 50-50, because then you have to deal…

Divorce law is governed by where you file/serve the divorce papers. To divorce in california, you need to essentially have lived in the state for 6 months and the county you wish to divorce in for a lesser amount of time (varying by county). If you divorce in CA, everything follows CA laws, regardless of asset locations. Place of marriage is irrelevant as long as its recognized by the US. The argument that she got enough assets in the divorce to be self-sufficient actually CAN impact alimony. It…

It's more about your work increasing the value of the house. But don't despair, it's not as black/white as separate property/community property. Let's say you own a 500k home before marriage. During the marriage, you add 50k in equity to the home from repairs/addons/whatever. This makes that extra 50k community property, so if you sell the house, she'll get access to that portion. Another common example is stock. If you own stock before the marriage, you could just not touch it at all and it go …

The site linked to has the case, but interprets it weirdly. Marvin did not have to pay any spousal support to his ex-girlfriend. As for confusing joint assets, the trouble occurs when you have separate assets and "co-mingle" them with community property in some way. Examples include putting money from your pre-existing bank account into a joint account, using your time/labor during marriage to maintain a pre-owned house that you rent out for profit, or using inheritance from your grandparents to…

Honestly, this isn't a bad idea. If you can get her to "re-affirm" the prenup like a year into the marriage, you'd substantially make it that much stronger in court.
/r/TheRedPill10/03/15 06:58 AM

both paychecks direct deposit into a joint account This right here makes the money community property. If the community money is given to a spouse to spend on something, it's still community money. The only thing that could change this would be a written agreement by both spouses that the $1000 transfers are explicitly to become separate property. The money would then have to stay in this separate account until divorce. This is in community property states only though.
/r/TheRedPill10/03/15 06:53 AM

Sort of. They'll count that asset as part of how much money you have, then split it in half. So you'll owe half the value of that asset to her. If you hide that particular asset outside of US jurisdiction, they'll just take something else of yours to cover the value.

After studying family law intensely, I kind of have to agree. If you're the breadwinner, it's just a bad deal for you.
/r/TheRedPill10/03/15 06:17 AM

So that's sort of right. Property attained before the marriage is separate. If you did nothing to pay for it/maintain it during the marriage, it's yours 100%. BUT, if you bought it during the marriage, using paychecks earned during the marriage, it's community even if only one of you uses it. The reasoning is that both of your labor is "community labor" (yes, she effectively owns half your labor) and anything bought during the marriage with community labor is now community property. Your house i…

Hire a lawyer to write your prenup and make sure she has a lawyer too. Give her the prenup before you even plan the wedding. Keep any big assets you have pre-marriage in a separate account and don't touch it/use it during the marriage.
/r/TheRedPill10/03/15 06:07 AM

Having assets in another country wouldn't affect who gets what, though it would make it hard to collect from you. I don't advise trying to evade payments as the system CAN make your life hell. It's best to just keep your separate property pre-marriage in a separate bank account that you don't touch, here in the US.

Here's a rule of thumb: If you do you prenup yourself, prepare to lose. To make it stick, you'll need to do the following: -You BOTH have separate lawyers for the signing -The prenup, on its face, seems reasonable/fair (no clause like "If her weight exceeds 200 pounds she loses her rights to our community house") -She had time to review it before the wedding -You were totally honest about all your assets -The prenup would not render her so destitute that she'd be a ward of the state (ie. You get…

We do not do "Palimony" in California. There's only spousal support, which requires a valid marriage (child support doesn't though). There needs to be a marriage or other contract for her to get any money. I won't dissaude you from doing a cohabitation agreement if you want one, but California does NOT do common law marriage. The co-habitation agreement might actually screw you up if you promise in it to share things or take care of her. The case of Marvin v. Marvin clarified this. In order for …

This is the correct end result, for slightly different reasoning. The state cares about the child keeping its status quo. So they'll live with whichever parent can stay home all day and take care of them, aka mom 99/100 times. Thus they kids get to stay in their current house which means mom gets to stay in the current house. Had you been a stay at home dad, in CA, it would actually be the other way though. Good luck getting laid as a stay at home dad though...

Are you suggesting cohabitation agreements in place of marriage or in addition to marriage? As far as legally, it won't help you in divorce unless it's a prenup signed before the marriage and clearly using prenup language (hire a lawyer to write one). As for protecting you, in CA it won't matter. We don't do "common law marriage" in CA, so living with someone for a while won't entitle them to your stuff. Some states still have CLM, so look that up if you live outside CA. If there's no valid marr…

Yes, make sure BOTH of you have lawyers, that it's a good time before the wedding (before you even make reservations/buy the dress), and that its signed in the presence of your lawyers. You don't want her claiming coercion or fraud. Also, you'll need to tell her all your financial information (to avoid fraud). Lastly, you cannot prenup ANYTHING relating to children. Child support isn't her right to waive, it's the child's right. So you can't negotiate custody here. You can waive spousal support …

The automatic spousal support (thats what we call it) is determined by each party's income first, then a variety of economic factors. The judge has INCREDIBLE amounts of discretion in awarding the amount. This will amount to the breadwinning spouse usually paying half the difference between each party's income so that the net effect is each party having roughly the same income after the divorce, but there's ZERO guarantee that will happen. Spousal support can be waived in a prenup if you do it r…

I'm actually pretty familiar with CA family law. The section of law you're reading is a bit misleading without context. Essentially, you won't be owing her student loan debt once the divorce happens. Community property will be sold off to pay the debt during the divorce process, if the debt is due/past due/defaulted, but that won't touch your future earnings/separate property you own. Further, if the two of you divorce after you paid down some of her loans during marriage, you may be eligible to…

What's this subreddit's stance on satire? For instance, I've written a blog that mocks SJW blogs by imitating their style on a ridiculous subject. Would this be an inappropriate tone to go with for this subreddit?

I think even more importantly than the claim of a lack of strong females in games being false is the point that EVEN IF she were right about there not being strong females, she still isn't entitled to having them handed to her.

My favorite is the old "If you want to become a better fisherman, you ask other fishermen, not the fish" I find that most of my friends who are still bluepill and refuse to change their mindset are the ones who keep getting dating advice from their female friends.

That was the best Bugatti commercial I've seen.

This hurt to watch, as I'm a huge fan of Colbert. The argument she gives is pretty flawed though. She demands more women in games, as if that's a legal right women have. That's the real problem; she's confusing a thing she wants with a thing she's entitled to. If gaming wants to make itself a "little boys club" (nice attempt to shame masculinity btw) then they have all the right in the world to do that. If you don't like the lack of females in games, feel free to make your own games, but don't t…

The problem is, from an outside perspective (ie, not being able to read her mind), the current system and what you're suggesting are totally indistinguishable.

I think that a positive way forward for society would be to encourage this sort of redemption for women and focus less on dismissing all women with colorful sexual histories as unmarriageable. So you're saying that a woman ought to be able to be slutty during her youth, and then "reform" her ways so she can settle down with a nice guy who will marry her and take care of her? That's literally the current system, via the cock carousel.

Fair enough, and I have no problem with you either. I wish you the best of luck in your journey through TRP.

Literally not true. Please be rational about this and don't let emotions influence you; that's a woman's game.

A prenup cannot stop certain things like child custody, but that's really it. You aren't robbed of your kids in a divorce, the default is joint custody unless one party proves that the other is a threat to the kids through drug addiction or alcoholism.

I didn't project anger on to you, you straight up told me that you're mad about this. I'm not mad because it's silly to get mad at some couple in China. You shouldn't be that angry at the woman because she wasn't in a relationship and didn't break any oath. Where the hell did I say Alpha is a dude who games and lays girls every night?

You can prenup away alimony and keep a separate bank account that your prenup protects.
/r/TheRedPill03/11/14 05:01 AM

Knowing the rules in advance gives you a chance to make sure your prenup follows them. It really isn't that hard.

It has happened, but there are rules for it. THey don't just roll a dice to see if your pre-nup fails.

I'm not mad at all, so I think you're projecting some anger onto me bro. It's weird that you call her the homewrecker, but not him.

Wanting to beat the shit out of a woman who cheats shows that you're still in the anger phase. You gotta realize that it was the man in this case who had the oath not to sleep around. The woman had no such obligation. The oathbreaker was the man, and as an honorable person, you should be upset with him.

Pre-nups really aren't that easy to invalidate, it's a common myth. You can easily create signing conditions that would prove effortlessly a lack of coercion. Have her have a friend or two present, with a notary. It's not that tough.

I meant there was more than his assets period. Even for MMV game. The more annoying (weak, wussy, beta) a man his, the more money or status he would need to have the same MMV value.

Is it really? It's a girl and some of her friends beating the shit out of a woman who didn't actually break any laws nor any of her own vows. Her husband, however, did break a vow. Certainly we wouldn't be supporting her beating the shit out of him.

thus the marriage contract for a electrical engineer student should have a high value (i.e. he should be able to choose a hot chick). I think you're oversimplifying the matter. There's a lot more that goes into a man's SMV than his degree and potential future earning. If he has the personality of the world's wussiest Beta Bux, then it makes sense that he would have to pair up with someone below the average "market value" for someone of his potential future income. Whereas an engineer with game w…

I really do respect him for standing his ground and refusing to sidestep the point by pointing out that as a black man, he probably gets harassed way more, and in more serious ways. None of that oppression Olympics bullshit.

Ever notice how the women who are sick of all the SJW oppression bullshit are the ones you'd actually want to sleep with while the people crying "harassment!" over being called beautiful are the ones you'd never call beautiful?

The thing is, as someone who's spent a lot of time in big cities, I'm confident at least half of those people are just after money and are complimenting her (aka harassment) right before they ask her for money.

This guy gets it. By leading with your wallet you're showing her that your wallet is the best part of you. She's then going to see that the only value you provide her is your wallet. Ask yourself if that's really what you want.

That is a BEAUTIFUL method of getting a girl to categorize you as BB. If you want a lasting relationship or even basic respect, you're out of luck though.

The only way to get to gender equality is to give one gender more privilege than the other. Just like how we solved all racial problems by giving black people more rights than white people.
