It shouldn’t feel weird at all asking for another mans number if you’re sure about your sexuality. I’m a firm believer that you need to connect on a topic though, whatever that is, for it not to be socially “weird”. It sounds like you may be a little insecure if you’re thinking they’re going to sabotage you before you even become friends. Gotta be more positive and confident going into it. Op I used to have this exact problem. Long time friend and current gf who also am close with before they dated kept taking shots at me far too often on a group trip we were on. While not a problem in itself and definitely their way of joking around I was bp at the time, sensitive, and finally ended up blowing up at them. And of course I regret it.
