12	Hundreds of first dates, here are my tips Being silent for 5 days isn't busy though. No one is busy 24/7. It makes sense at the beginning to take a few days off chatting, but if you've got a date planned, you really ought to be putting the effort into speaking to the other person. Thing I've found though is that guys aren't the only ones who do this. 1	My best advice for people who are really struggling: Would you date yourself? I have pretty low standards so probably. In all seriousness though. I do look at the things that make me self conscious about myself and I realise that they wouldn't be deal breakers if someone else had those issues. I think my issues may come down to my personality more than anything. I think I'm quite boring and while I do have hobbies that people can appreciate, they're not really enough.
