There are those that claim to be Mormon that practice polygamy and are extremist. Which broke off from the Mormon church over 100 years ago and has had multiple groups break off from them. And Mormon is a negative slang term. The preferred term is LDS. There’s bad apples in every barrel. And according to Webster’s dictionary a CULT is “a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object” which describes all organized faith and even a few that aren’t.
