IMO alpha is what’s attractive and arousing whereas beta is what’s comforting and securing. M8 what your describing is strength training not weight lifting. Same equipment different goals and methods etc. I will say however that strength training is better than weight lifting IMO because it builds character and teaches you perseverance.
