Very wise words from a very wise woman. In less than five minutes she's imparted more wisdom than all of the drivel posted in the manosphere put together.

I agree with everything you wrote. These guys prey on women who have low self-esteem and aren't assertive enough, and they pass their garbage advice onto young men who are insecure. Really the best dating advice would be to find somebody you love for who they are, who loves you for who you are, and marry them. If people just followed that advice people wouldn't have all these weird sexual hangups and dating issues, and there wouldn't be this proliferation of "pill" ideologies. Telling younger gu…

It's also hypocritical because these men expect women to settle down and get married in their twenties, yet the chances of these men doing this are slim. Most MGTOW just want a concubine, not a wife, and then criticize women for not getting married. EDIT: Reworded it because it was unclear

They are an excluding community, but that's because they don't want to be hit with a deluge of low-quality posts from guys from the manosphere who are triggered by women not wanting to be used for sex. The terminology is a bit weird, like I don't understand why they have to speak in AAVE just because they're resolving to stay away from men who just want to use them for sex, but that really doesn't matter. Honestly, I don't understand why guys from the red pill don't like female dating strategy. …

Not really, if anything female dating strategy is the anti-thesis to the red pill. The red pill is all about concocting all sorts of strategies to use women for sex outside of marriage, whereas female dating strategy is about teaching women to only put out for men that are going to commit. There are some misandrist views on there, but generally speaking they're just teaching women how to not get used for sex. How is that a bad thing?

Alone. Studies actually show that while married couples are generally happier than single people, people in toxic, unhealthy marriages are actually much less happy than single people, which isn't really surprising.

Thanks for reassuring me that a relationship will still be possible even though I used to believe in the red pill. I'm currently trying to find a partner that I can really connect with and trust, but I haven't found anyone yet, although I haven't lost hope!

Thanks. Yeah I don't have a lot of actual relationship experience, so I don't know, it's probably going to be harder to stay chaste if I'm around a woman who's dtf, but I think I can do it, because I'm getting a lot better at resisting sexual urges when I'm alone, so this should translate into self-restraint when around women who are dtf.

Yeah, I see what you mean about it being hard to convince someone to wait until marriage, but I think I'll be able to find somebody. Another thing is that I don't masturbate either. So when I get sexual urges I just don't masturbate, so if I'm horny in the presence of a woman I'm attracted to, and who's attracted to me, not having sex with her won't be super difficult for the most part, because I'm already used to controlling my sexual urges when I'm alone, although there certainly will be diffi…

I appreciate your perspective. But to clarify, I was never into dread game or any nonsense like that, I was basically just being edgy. I never manipulated women or used dread game or anything like that. I'm actually still a virgin and haven't even got past first base. So it's not like I was some womanizer, I was really just an awkward guy who wasn't good at relationships and was in kind of a bad place, and I sort of bought into all that red pill nonsense for a period of time.

Thanks for responding, I appreciate your perspective and your reassuring me that my dating prospects aren't ruined. But yes, you're right that I do have issues with anxiety, but I'm working on them and they're slowly but surely improving. I do get caught in these anxiety spirals, where I just keep wondering "what if", and I concoct all these worst-case scenarios in my head, and then go through life as if these worst-case scenarios were almost inevitably going to occur. But lately I think my pers…

Thank you for you kind words, I really appreciate it. Yeah, I should elaborate though, when I said my decisions were influenced by my negative experiences in junior high school, it's not like I'm consciously letting them affect my decision, but it's more like the lingering emotional pain of my ex-girlfriend semi-cheating on me with my friends is subconsciously affecting how I see things. I mean that shattered my trust in both men and women, and the pain affected me for a while. But regardless, y…

I don't have any hangups. I don't think that masculinity and sexual desire are toxic, it's really just about what you do with your sexual urges. When I feel attraction to a woman, I don't feel ashamed of it, I just avert my gaze. While it may be hard at times, I'm glad I have a sex drive, because it means that when I get married I'll be able to please my wife. And fearing being left is a good thing - anxiety creates desire. I think this is a very twisted line of thinking. This is basically dread…

I used to see marriage the way you did, but I changed my perspective. First of all, in committed long-term relationships, there are no vows so the commitment is actually not all that strong. When you marry someone, you're really making a commitment to be with them for life. And commitment is a good thing. When I'm older, I think having an awesome wife would make me really happy, and so why would I waste my time in a sexual relationship with somebody who could leave at any time? Guys are stereoty…

No problem. Also, I hope it didn't seem like I was trying to belittle you in any way, because that's really the opposite of what I was trying to do. I'm just telling you that you need more confidence and I think you should have the right mentality regarding dating. I'm sure that if you put yourself out there, you'll find someone who's right for you!

That's not true. You really need some confidence and to realize that relationship success isn't as correlated with attractiveness as you seem to think. I know of lots of attractive men and women who can't find a relationship just because they haven't found the right person yet. I have a friend on Facebook who's very attractive, yet she's still single. Dating is not as heavily based on looks as people think. I'm telling you that you really need to just put yourself out there, and eventually you'l…

You're going to think I'm a jackass, but please hear me out: there's really no such thing as the friendzone. Trust me, I thought the same way you did when I was younger, but it's a really toxic mentality that'll prevent you from finding love. Obviously there are going to be lots of people who only want to be friends. That's true for everyone. Throughout my life there have been many women who I've been attracted to that didn't want a relationship with me. At the time, I felt like I was getting si…

That's really not true. To have one-night stands or FWB relationships with women you have to be exceptionally attractive, but if you're just looking for a long-term committed relationship, the dating market isn't skewed, it's just a matter of finding someone you're compatible with. I'm 26 and when I was younger I had that mentality. It's really just a toxic mentality that'll prevent you from finding love. You really just have to put yourself out there. When you meet women, try not to immediately…

Just ignore the red pill's advice and find somebody you love. I wasted my early 20s because I was bitter and jaded, not entirely because of the red pill's dumb ideology, but that was a big factor. Women are not as shallow as you think. I'm serious when I say 90% of the red pill is complete bullshit. The only useful advice is the generic self-improvement advice, and the stuff about being more confident. Other than that it's complete bullshit. Lots of the guys who post on there are just guys who h…

But even their advice in that regard isn't that great. If you're dating someone, you should judge their character and see if they're a good moral person, etc., you don't need the red pill to tell you that, that's common dating advice.

Almost all of it is bad. The only good advice is the generic self-improvement stuff, like exercising, studying hard, eating healthy, being good with finances. Other than that it's literally all BS.

Some women are shallow, but not all, just like men. I mean, the majority of guys under the age of 33 are in sexual relationships, so I don't see her point. Most women aren't as shallow as her.

Honestly, in my experience most of the traditional stereotypes about women are often totally not true. Like at a former job I had, it seemed like the guys gossiped way more than the women there, contrary to the common stereotype. But when guys gossip they usually don't call it gossiping for some reason. The guys who perpetuate these stereotypes are probably just pissed at women for some reason, either because they were rejected or cheated on by some woman, or maybe they were bullied in school by…

Yeah but they're not claiming that all men are terrible, it's just certain men. The Red Pill says "all women are like that." FDS says some men are like that.

But I don't even think the 3 month no sex rule is that big of a deal. If a woman's looking for a monogamous relationship, making the guy wait for sex is good way of making sure the guy's not just interested in sex, and is willing to actually commit.

Can you give me an example of FDS advocating emotional manipulation?

I think this might have more to do with porn addiction. It's been proven that porn causes guys to raise their standards and not be attracted to average-looking women. Then when these guys fail to attract Staceys, they go on TRP for advice. But if they weren't porn addicts, they'd probably be willing to settle for women who aren't super attractive.

Honestly, I think the red pill accurately describes short-term relationships, but not long-term relationships. When women look for casual sex partners, I do think they mostly go for the top 20% of guys, but in long-term relationships, they can pair bond and don't exhibit hypergamy. So since casual sex is a lot more common nowadays, that means that for a lot of guys it's very difficult to find a partner.

I haven't experienced this, but I think this is why it's important for people to wait before having sex in relationships. Because the reality is that personality does affect attraction, and if you get into a relationship without really knowing someone on a deeper level, there's a chance you might lose attraction to them upon getting to know them on a deeper level. Like it says in the article, certain quirky personality traits could turn into turn-offs later in the relationship. I think this is a…

I don't think there's really much of a correlation between looks and willingness to be committed and monogamous. As someone who's not that attractive (i.e. not ugly but definitely not a Chad), I used to be really attracted to the idea of casual sex because I was insecure, and thought that if a woman would be willing to have casual sex with me, then that would mean I was actually attractive. On the other hand, guys who are actually attractive don't need casual sex to prove to themselves that they…

No, dread is just emotional manipulation, and it only works on women who are insecure. Being a simp is just the other extreme where guys don't allow themselves to have any opinions or make any decisions because they're constantly trying to appease their girlfriend or wife. Dread is not present in healthy romantic relationships.

I think it's hard to say. Just from posts I see on reddit and other social media, it seems like people are more aware of certain aspects of red pill philosophy, such as AFBB, but I don't think a lot of these people know that this theory was popularized by TRP. This is just speculation though. But redpillers generally don't talk about their views at all, so it might be increasing in popularity, and we might just not know it. Although I just checked out r/theredpill after years of not going on it …

I want romance and sex. Romance without sex is cuckoldry, and alhough sex is great, I feel like it's a lot better if you're doing it with someone you love. However, it's hard for me to be romantically attracted to women since I think they're inferior. Not only that, but attractive women just want to be pumped and dumped by Chads, so I don't know if it's possible to have a romantic relationship with a woman.
