Southern Baptists are fucking toxic. My mom is one and she had the audacity to tell me to my face that my relationship with a male (and a pretty good one at that) is the path of "evil." I am absolutely pissed off at my parents for it, I threw the paper with the dotted line on it back at my mom and made her know exactly how I feel about her decision. Found the doctor who did it too and he's old as fuck but still practicing. Not sure what to do about that situation.

I got diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last year. Horrible disease. Also why I am up at 4:30 in the morning. But anyway my level of give a fuck about society has reached effectively zero. I go to work, I do my thing, I come home to my dogs. I have friends, intelligent friends that share my worldview, but overall I gmow. The damage from my last breakup was enough to make extended social interaction with normal people completely tiresome to me.

I've got 14k of 25 I'd like to have saved before I buy a diesel truck and a camper. Plan is to head out west, just my dogs and I and see what there is to see. My medical condition unfortunately means that's the length I have to go to in order to realize the dream (I have UC, have shitter will travel). But the plan is to hop in, drive off, and disappear for a few weeks at a time, just them and me.

Counterpoint, the ketogenic diet is helpful in certain specialized cases. I have severe ulcerative colitis, and it has helped my gut healing by a huge amount. Less gas that travels through me and reinjures my intestines, more proteins and healthy fats to rebuild the gut lining my body is constantly attacking. That in concert with meds is allowing me to live a somewhat normal life until we find a medication/treatment that is effective.
