I guess there's a bit of a disconnect because men, generally speaking, can tell a fuckboy from a mile away. And yet women, according to ordinary stereotypes, are supposed to be the intuitive people-readers. So when women (reasonably) complain about being tricked by said fuckboys, a lot of men kinda just shake their heads and sigh, wondering how on earth anyone could have fallen for such a threadbare act.

Well how is one supposed to take the statement that "the personal is political"? Is it that personal interactions can be examined through a lens of power relations informed by larger political situations? If so ... duh. Anything can be examined through a political lens.
