It's almost awful in a sense. I've been incorporating TRP more in my daily life and it's interesting. Women do seem more receptive to me. Men seem to respect me more. It's a bit uncomfortable because I'm so used to being the milquetoast, passive, "nice guy." Not because I thought that was the way into a girl's pants but because I just naturally am like that. I just started going out with coworkers who are around my age or at least in similar life situations. I was part of a cohort as it were of people starting at my company, we get mentored by folks who went through the same program and are usually only a few years older than us, so it all kinda settles naturally. Outside of work, you could pursue hobbies that are more social in nature.

If you're in the US, the railroads (especially Class I) are a great place to learn a trade and earn a living. I'd recommend anything in the mechanical, engineering, or telecom departments. What do you consider gym muscles? I would wager that the fittest men in the world would not deride the classics: deadlifting, squats, bench presses, pull ups. If you're talking about curl queens, yeah I agree that's not a good use of one's gym time, but there is plenty of value in gym fitness. Especially for someone just starting out on the path to balance. Those compound lifts can get you stronger faster, building a great base on which to start doing so-called functional exercise.
