Sad to say but many men still seek the approval of others ... It also validates the ego It's in the sidebar: "The Red Pill: Discussion of sexual strategy in a culture increasingly lacking a positive identity for men." There may be some nuance to it all but I think it's time we cut the shit. It's all about sex and what people think of you. In theory, TRP may not be about seeking validation from others but, in practice, it's exactly that. "Identity" is what matters to most men here. They want to b…

I think it's important to remind the new folks to take everything they read here with a grain of salt. I don't mean to undermine TRP principles or truths (I agree with most of them); I just want the new guys to continue using the same critical analysis that they used on the blue-pilled world. There's far too much circle-jerking going on here and this is, ironically, turning many people into TRP's equivalent of a blue-pilled, gullible "beta."

90 percent of the evolutionary psychology discussed in TRP is based on nothing but conjecture and broscience. There's definitely value in some of the perspectives you can find in TRP, but always remember to not believe everything you read.

If you pursue the abandonment of all "myth" - you will end up with nihilism. Perhaps that's a step necessary for the development of passions, meaning, etc. You mentioned Nietzsche, after all. Counter-intuitive as it may be, the further away from emotion and meaning you get, the closer you get. I'm not sold on the idea that accepting "reality" in all forms is a healthy way to live. Surely you recognize the irony of using "reality" in quotation marks!

The internet is full of articles and videos that supposedly teach how to be confident. Most of this shit is useless because confidence is an incredibly complex subject and takes sustained work to develop and maintain. You start off your post with this and follow it up with just another article on how to be confident. Does no one else see the irony in this? OP, I'm not saying you're wrong and I'm not saying I know the answer but I think the reason you (correctly) pointed out that all these articl…

I think there is a higher imperative to make sure the LTR/plate is just a cherry on top, a bonus, rather than something needed. But I could be wrong. No, I think you and OP are mostly right. Is it understandable that you probably have strong relations to other humans and that you might want to preserve them for as long as possible? Of course. And there's nothing wrong with feeling like you could depend on someone for support. But there's some nuance here; if your relation with another is so inte…

For fuck's sake, which is it? Am I supposed to look for a mature and responsible woman and plate the rest or am I supposed to look for a fucking airhead of a child? I don't understand why any reasonable person would accept or tolerate a partner that acts like a child. TRP has devolved into an autistic circle-jerk in the last year. 90 percent of submissions are shit with no thought behind them and little to no critical analysis in the reception. Just because you can type up a few paragraphs does …

You're becoming (not acting) "alpha" for your own sake and not because it's what women are attracted to. If you feel like you hate women or that you need to "act" a certain way to get women, you aren't grasping the real message of TRP. Granted, many men who successfully apply TRP in their lives eventually reach a point where they do have some degree of animosity towards women but also towards the way the entire world works, generally. If you come to realize everything you have been told as a chi…

A man who doesn't have oneitis won't be thinking about getting back with his ex. It will never enter his mind. He would have ghosted her already and moved on with his life. It isn't the black and white issue you make it out to be, OP. I'll use myself as an example. I had a girlfriend for about 18 months; things were going great with no problems (I had been applying a lot of TRP). We ended up breaking up because I had to move and we didn't want an LDR. There was no fight, no argument, and we spli…

OP, this reads like just another one of those posts that have very little to do with TRP concepts. And your very simplistic and naive perspective on the complexities of politics is also surprising. Women (and men) didn't protest Trump's inauguration because he said some mean things; they protested his inauguration because of some of his positions. Trump is the most unpopular candidate in the history of Republican politics for a reason and no amount of pill-swallowing is going to change how bad t…

I find these posts antithetical to the "red pill" message. The problem with all these colors and all these pills is the constant irrational categorizations. Trying to explain the "purple pill" is just another manner of compartmentalizing ideas and further reinforcing the prevalent groupthink I find in this subreddit. I value this sub because of the alternative views it presents but I've come to realize that it also ironically reinforces its own "blue pill" culture. The way people on here worship…

This. There are very good reasons to avoid pornography and the effects of its constant dopamine rushes. Hardcore usage of pornography definitely can alter ("rewire") your brain in serious ways and can send you down a path of depression and confusion, even about your sexuality. Luckily, the reason most people don't have these issues is the same reason most people who drink alcohol aren't alcoholics. People in here are far too quick to ignore the NoFap community and put their conviction down to th…

Hold on. You said she swallowed? As in she swallowed the cum of a man she met just a few hours ago? No wonder this went so smoothly; you were talking to a full-time slut. Either that or I need to move to the West ASAP.

This idiot thought a little rando dick was worth potentially ruining the rest of her life. Well, it did ruin your life and now all you can do is seek pity. I'm so happy for your (ex)husband, you stupid bitch. You've been found out to be just another skank.

That's a good point. I wouldn't want to argue that there's no thing as gender and that everyone should be pansexual. I identify as a straight male, however I think the reason that that did not come to my mind when I was writing my frist comment was because it isn't something I stand by. How is one passionate about their gender or orientation? The process of realizing my gender and orientation were a sort of "huh, yeah" moment. What I describe as a "core" on the other hand is an ideology or attit…

Great post. I adopted an identity when I was younger in order to solidify my thoughts and build myself around a core. It was very helpful at first but, overtime, that identity grew and grew to the point where it was no longer just a core. It was instead keeping me from doing things I felt I wanted to do but which weren't "compatible" with my identity. I'm still in the process of weaning off it but I've learned that a core is all you need. You miss out on a lot in life if you limit yourself just …

I agree with most everything you said but I don't think Elon is an "alpha." He gets into petty squabbles on Twitter which is indicative of a lack of confidence and some unsolved issues. Much like Trump.

It's now apparently blue-pilled to say you were "born this way" so I'm just going to cut to the chase and say it doesn't matter; do whatever the fuck you want to do as long as you aren't hurting anyone. Personally, I don't think you "changed." You simply discovered something that was in you your entire life.

Spot on. I knew you were an older gentleman even before I read your last paragraph simply because of the way you phrased that. It will take practice and a few awkward moments (which you must be able to react to properly), but you will reach a certain point where a natural boundary between your sex life and your romantic relationship will form. If no boundary forms, that might be a sign your sex life isn't good enough. I've always felt like I was a different person whenever shit was getting hot d…

Don't live your life hating anything. When you're this emotionally invested/charged towards a specific thing, that thing rules your life and you just end up looking petty and weak. There have been many times where I'll open up TRP and see some "confident" and "alpha" male do nothing but bitch incessantly about women or about society in general. I'm not saying you should always emit love and sunshine like some hippie. Sure, this existence is fucked up and there are moments where you're going to b…

This is today one of my best sex memories. There's nothing like it. Whatever a girl does for me or to me, her being submissive and being "for me" (keyword: being, not acting) in the bedroom (and outside it, to a lesser extent) is my biggest, biggest turn-on.

I'm not implying that I own the girl when I call her "my girlfriend" and I'm sure that's not what OP meant either. When a girl is "yours," she's exclusively your girlfriend, and I'm trying to figure out what makes the girl "your girlfriend" and how you can go about keeping her as such. I don't understand how ownership has anything to do with this.

What if you maintain your value, thereby maintaining her connection to you? Can you then consider her "yours?"

I've had the opposite experience, OP. Intelligent men are definitely more attractive. What you are describing in your post are "nerds," people who are infatuated with their studies and therefore do not devote much time to other things. They neglect their health and social lives and this is what causes them to become unattractive. On the other hand, if you have a man who is confident, social, healthy, and can speak at length about various complex topics, he comes off as much more attractive than …

Even if it was the case, Cuba's persecution of homosexuals was no different than other countries all over the world. The only reason people like to fixate on the negative sides of the Cuban revolution is because they're still butthurt about the Bay of Pigs and they live inside one giant all-American circlejerk.

You definitely need something more in your life besides banging girls. But that something more is not a relationship. Agreed, you need more than sex in this life. You need happiness and you need love, perhaps among other things. I'm not sure I'm ready to say you need those things, but I'd wager most people want those things. And what's wrong with wanting them? They are good things to seek, indeed, for very little people, men or women, will ever find them. But when found, they are something to be…

OP, you do well to criticize the idea of Disney's fairy-tale conception of "love," and I think I largely agree with you. The vast, vast majority of people in romantic relationships today are only fooling themselves when they think they're in that kind of "love." But if you'll allow me to take a little detour, what if we consider "love" outside of the romantic-relationship boundary? I don't think you'd say a dad couldn't love his daughter, or that a mother couldn't love her son, when one of the h…

Some girls want tall men and you're not going to ever be able to do anything about that. I believe that most girls, however, would be more than fine with your height. Don't ever be jealous of taller guys either; it just makes you beta. Also, being tall isn't always great. I'm 6'4 and sometimes I hate my height.

I've got a question to OP and everyone else in this thread. What do you think about women who are cheating with you on other men? Do you think that is a sign you should never approach her for anything other than sex? Is it possible that (assuming) since you're so superior to the guy she's cheating on, it was really easy for her to cheat on him, but that it will be very unlikely for her to cheat on you too in the future?
