A criminal, who attempted to get someone done for rape. Reprehensible. Yet she deserves to have anonymity bestowed upon her after conviction? Hell no. But you would make circular arguments to defend that ad nauseum. It's trolling as far as I'm concerned. Good night.

Unnamed until proven guilty, which she was, but remained unnamed.

He's the defence barrister. Can't expect him to say anything else. The judge should have the balls to do what's right though, and he didn't.

And me. I mean, what in the Almighty fuck (a) possessed someone to bring charges on something like that and (b) that charges are ALLOWED to be brought against someone for attempting to be romantic,?

As a commenter on that page wrote though, imagine the shitstorm if the genders were reversed and a guy wanted to get rid of his 'useless' girlfriend?

So battered women are at fault because they let it happen and didn't leave? Do you have any clue about abusive relationships or are you just an idealistic idiot?

Oh for fuck sake. Do you fucking realise what you just wrote? "He let it happen so tough shit!"

Same type of case was brought in Ireland a couple of years ago and the boy brought a constitutional challenge to the supreme court for discrimination. He lost. The reason given afair was that the possibility of pregnancy for the girl made her the 'victim' and he the guilty party.

Grabbing someone's balls to pull and squeeze them painfully isn't sexual assault? It most certainly can be, but if we say that every incidence of it is, then the vast majority of teenage boys will be guilty of it (if you include a slap/flick/punch or kick to the balls also, which is what I meant specifically) and in this case, although it isn't specific, it sounded like teenage arsing around that went wrong. No reason to turn into a baying mob over it. Just to be clear, I am in no way condoning …

If it was a girl, then the culprit would be immediately expelled on the spot and would currently by in police custody awaiting trial for charges of sexual assault, battery, assault causing bodily harm, etc. Which would be wrong. From what I read here, it says it was one of his mates and something terrible happened accidentally as a result of a bit of messing about. We regularly got smacked in the balls in school by our mates and you had to be on your guard. It's all pretty harmless. This inciden…

A kick in the balls is worse. Loads of women want a second baby. Ever hear a guy ask for another kick in the balls? :-)

Would someone tell me how this was hidden/buried? There is nothing that can regain these peoples good names after this. Accusations of rape and (even worse) child abuse will never be erased in everyone's minds. There will always be those that think they 'got off' on a technicality or something. The doubts will remain. People who do something like this are as bad as those who actually are guilty of child abuse. They destroy innocent lives and it can not be allowed to go unpunished by the authorit…

There was a post recently about a man in a shop with his kid and a woman comes up and questions the kid as to whether the mother knew they were out with the father. That was bad. This, on the other hand is fcuking appaling ! Blocking Paramedics from bring a patient to the hospital because they have fcuked up preconcieved ideas that everything with a dick is a paedophile/rapist !! I agree with you OP, throw the book at her !

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
