He was apparently was unemployed up to their divorce, and in fact SHE was paying him alimony because he still was jobless until he won the lottery. She brought him to court only to end the alimony payments (she was still required to pay). It's one of the reasons his wife left him. She's already stated she does' want any of the money and doesn't want to be involved with him again. She was paying him alimony after the divorce. She took him to court after he won, but it was only to cancel the alimony she was still required to pay. She didn't wany any of his money. But the actual purpose of dressing up for these conventions is to show off your cosplay and get attention and have people notice. People all over will be taking your pictures. This dude did nothing wrong. In fact he even complemented that one person who had, which I agree with, an original outfit. He didn't go up and start talking shit or insulting people.
