1	Don't be hard on yourself if you're struggling to feel confident. Its hard to completely flip your self image over night. I highly recommend doing Loving Kindness meditation every day. I did it for about about a year, barely missing any days, followed by another year of doing it once a month or so. Everything changed. And yeah, things aren't perfect. I sometimes relapse into shame and negative self-talk. But I let it have its say, offer it compassion and love, and then I'm back in the game of enjoying my life. Like working out, it's a process.
