"Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentYes. And 15% of men fail. (I don't know where else to go from here...) So if you could come up with a plan, how would you go about the way to solve this? Where more women can be in these job roles | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/26 05:26 PM
"Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentNah. Of the 30 women who performed the step mill test, only seven were able to complete the 3-minute test. Because of the low passage rate, the statistical analysis evaluated the relationships between the independent variables and how long the participants were able to perform the test up to 3 minutes. The 24% passage rate in this study is similar to what the researchers have observed in a number of fire departments they consult with who are recruiting women firefighters. That was from the artic… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/26 02:38 AM
"Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentLook for female passing rate for CPAT under "results " Same conclusion for every job that requires a physical demand test but also pushes for more women in the these roles. You can't hire for more women before hiring more men first. (Again, really sorry ladies...) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/26 01:57 AM
"Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentI didn't mean to sound like I disagree, but yes, more pay for the firefighters and better physical training regardless of gender. Some other commentor was kind of making a personal attack on the op and I just wanted to step in. sorry | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/26 01:21 AM
"Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentSure. But if they were all men, they can be rotated for breaks so that the workload can be distributed...bringing in more women can only happen if there's more men. This is a big oversimplification but yeah thats the real solution. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/26 12:32 AM
"Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentI made a reply on someone else's comment saying that women can't even replicate the same results as men just to pass a physical fitness test for their job roles. Firefighters, military, sports, and so on, you would get the same conclusion everywhere. That even if a job role is pushing for more women, alot of women wouldn't be able to meet physical requirements if they wanted to. If a fire department is shortstaffed and desperately needs more workers, recruitment for men is needed first , and wom… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/26 12:28 AM
"Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentIf you don't believe the numbers from my previous comment, it's also the same for the military, weightlifting, and sports too. Meaning women that are expected to do the same roles as men, will not be able to. People can die if these roles aren't performed correctly. Female military fail rate higher than men Female strength capacity is only 60% of men Also I'm not ex military or ex public service and never will be. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/04/26 11:44 PM
| 2 | "Gender Equality" hamstrings crucial social institutions such as the Fire DepartmentThe real question is whether or not aspiring female firefighters can pass their test to become a firefighter in the beginning. 76% can not.. female firefighter applicants fail rate The above link is in america btw.
