By your statement anyone who is offended and think something sucks is a victim. You can see the insults yourself. In fact, you just insinuated one yourself. I haven't been name calling and slinging insults. I've been civil in trying to have a discussion.

I had a really thoughtful reply texted out and then my app unexpectedly quit. AHHH! Cliffs notes: I had no idea the definition of feminism is different now than what you originally posted. Many praises to you for being civil and kind in explaining it to me! I feel like trying to make a difference with a sign and screaming insults isn't the way to go. Actions speak louder than words. I answered the initial posted comment. It has since gone in a million different directions that I can't keep up with. Telling me I'm not a true feminist and to get a new title sounds offensive to me. Offensive is unkind. It's a personal opinion without resorting to name calling. Well when I posted my comment there was no karma. First time poster here and it was met with a condescending comment, so yeah it felt like a mistake. Due to some of the messages I'm getting, I am unsure how to feel, but I appreciate that some of us understand what the other is getting at. It would be unfair of me to judge this subreddit based on a few bad apples.

Yeah. I've gotten quite a few comments I'm not even going to bother with. People are vocal on all sides of the issue. It just depends where you're looking what you'll find. Thanks for being a voice of reason and understanding. I'm afraid some people here prefer name calling and flipping out versus civility which ironically is what I thought we all wanted to begin with but whatever. Id also like to add that I think it sucks that feminists should resort to a new title because radical ones are crazy. That's like saying Muslims should call themselves something else because of 9/11. (I know it's a drastic analogy but it upsets me that a whole group gets labeled because of extremists.)

I think we have a different definition of feminist which is why it came off as particularly insulting. Other than addressing that misunderstanding, I personally don't think the majority is silent. I think the media loves a shitstorm and the negative, crazy is all you're going to see.

Hello! Feminist here but not the "tumblr" type feminist or whatever you want to call it. I think it's horrifying and sad what this poor man is being subjected to. He's done something amazing, but some choose to be highly offended by half naked women on a tshirt instead. I think it just comes down to we have good people, and we have bad people. The stupid ones are usually the loudest. :/

why is it "fair" (as you put it) that they should experience these things with random people while 'the right person' has held out on those things hoping to share those experiences with someone they want to be with and care for. Because people "grow up" or change. I am not the same person I was at 15 nor when I was 25. Life experiences change you and mold you. You're not psychologically fully cooked until your mid 20s anyway. I think it's a fair statement that someone who is 30 years old may not want to be judged and treated like who they were at 20 years old. I'm one of them. I was an idiot when I was 20.

So, the idea is that all women have an agenda? No disrespect. I am just trying to understand where you and other red pillers are coming from. Thank you for the explanation. I just imagined you walking up to a woman and saying, "females are nothing but manipulative" which would be shaming language. I agree that if someone is being a manipulative douche canoe, pointing it out is a good way to let them know you're aware. They typically leave you alone after such a confrontation.

Honestly, TRP gave me the balls to look anyone in the eyes and tell them exactly what I think. Honest question, why would/should they care about what you think? Or are you simply explaining that you found confidence in speaking up in general? Ugh, I'm horrible at questions. I guess what I really want to know is, do you just point blank tell women they're manipulative in social settings?

I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this in a way I can understand. I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around how the lifelong partner's sexual history is equal to past marriages, but that's why I have a different opinion. I just feel entirely differently about it probably due to personal experiences. Again, thank you for the awesome, civil explanation.

I'm new around here so please forgive me if this is a question that's been asked eleventy billion times. I don't see how casual sex would define a relationship thus making the marriage/divorce argument a moot point. Is casual sex just something that you feel can't exist? Is it not feasible that someone just wanted flings and then settle down with the right person?
