This is exactly what I was thinking, too. If we're talking about how to find a relationship in this thread and also talking about hitting on girls who are only with their bf because they don't want to be alone, I think we're talking about a girl who isn't relationship material.

I don't think he was trying to belittle you, even if he was a bit blunt. I think the sentence you said of, "Maybe I just have too much to offer for a man" helps to point in a helpful direction, in my opinion.
