It's literally the right answer. Control the controllables and stop worrying about hypotheticals. Crying about how you are born is cope.

It's not a done deal that being in the majority is going to work out fine. People are designed to live in families and the modern idea that you can eliminate this and just forge your own way of life by picking and choosing your personal preferences is not going to work and is not working. It's kind of like spending your 20s going to loud concerts without earplugs just because other people do it and as you start going deaf in your 30s you just assume that it won't matter or that you will get a se…

This is what a post-sexual revolution looks like. You can't have both unrestrained sexual morals and restrained sexual morals. The whole sexual revolution was predicated on freedom and happiness when unconstrained from traditional morality. Now that is gone people are scandalized by people taking this mindset seriously.

Dating apps is a losing game for any person who has bigger ambitions than random hookups.

Men do not need to be theoretically attractive to every woman. They need to be attractive to one woman. Any man can make himself attractive in one way or another and to think otherwise is a cope.

Its a very clear indicator of quality of woman. I'm not looking for a woman of the night. I am looking for someone to start a family with, and N-count is directly contradictory to my goals. My wife joins MY family. I don't join hers.

Blue pill

Eh, I think this is a blue pilled perspective. Be yourself is a feminine attitude. The transition from girlhood to womanhood is clearly defined. Her menstruation begins and she transitions from a child into an adult. Traditionally, she goes from requiring the nurture of her mother to becoming prepared to offer nurture to her children. The male has no such transition, which is why historically every culture has had ceremonies and rituals for transitioning boys into men. The boy traditionally beco…

Probably not red pilled. It's pretty common for blue pilled men to think they're red pill by subverting its original concepts with gatekeeping masculinity. Normally if the statement, "a real man will..." what follows is usually a manipulation tactic to control men's behavior and most of the time it involves sacrificing for women or suppressing masculine nature. That being said there is nothing wrong with the stuff in the list, but they're a pretty skewed view on masculinity. I think a better vie…

One important principle of biblical interpretation is that although the New Testament and Old Testament agree, the New Testament takes priority in the life of the Christian because he is living in the full light of Christ and he is living in the age of the Spirit inhabiting his people in a fuller measure. A simple illustration is with the sermon on the mount. Jesus gives ethical teaching to his disciples that is stricter than the letter of the law of the Old Testament in order to demonstrate the…

You're acting like a b*tch. You're defensive, and you came asking for advice and almost everyone has told you the same thing and you've lashed out in anger. That's something that is going to actively impact your relationship prospects. I'm divorced. I can tell you right now why. I married in haste to an emotionally flighty woman who did not fear the Lord because I had low self esteem and was depressed and jumped at the first woman who gave me attention. Then I accepted blue pill lies about the r…

We need to know on what basis you think you had biblical qualifications for divorce. You say you don't agree with Piper, that's fine because I understand Piper to have the "permanence" view of marriage whereas the correct view is the one expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith chapter 24. These are the obvious elephants in the room. Your stats are above average, that's fine. But you seem evasive and defensive on this point which is just another reason it needs to be addressed. Christian…

Physical: Fixed my injured knee to about 90% capacity and have begun lifting again. Got 4 workouts in last week. Though I have lost strength I have a clear path to recovery and for that I am grateful. Sex life is good. No porn. Only drink alcohol maybe once every 2-3 weeks. Now just need to keep it up. I've made some improvements with my diet such that I have lost maybe a pound or two this week, but need consistent attention here. I am still overweight with a big gut and will continue to address…

Just finished a weighted squat set for the first time since beginning to try to rehab my knees. Thanks for the encouragement to not delay the other day.

I've been doing stretches to try to address the knee issues, but it is hard to tell if it is working. I've also been setting timers to make sure to stand up at intervals while working. I'm planning to try a low weight lift tonight and see if I can handle it. If not, I will likely need to go through an involved process with my insurance to figure out getting in physical therapy. I've researched it and gotten conflicting info about whether I can go straight to PT of if I have to get a referral fir…

In a workout rut. Have an unknown knee injury that comes and goes but makes me limp when it comes. Too scared to try leg based lifting. I've had a huge period of transition between getting married, and having really hardcore work demands but admittedly being lazy when it comes to doing upper body lifts. Need to come up with a plan as body fat is going up and I am stagnating.

What I am trying to say is that when I spend money on someone else it is often an investment. To me, it comes off as stingy to invite a woman on a date and then pay separate.

I am a Christian and I consider sex before marriage fornication and sinful, so I reject all sex outside of marriage. That being said, there is something a bit more perverse IMO about paying for sex. The fact that modern dating blends the lines between relationship and prostitution is a judgment on it in my opinion. I am fine with buying people dinner occasionally, but that's why I want it to be on my terms. I am not going to buy some chick stuff just because she wants it, but I like to show cour…

At the end of the day, if I was literally wanting to buy sex I could pay a prostitute. I have moral problems with that and I don't want that anyway, but if we're going to have a transactional relationship for sex, then cut the BS. I take women on dates because I want a relationship, and I want a relationship because I want a marriage so that I can have a wholesome family, a great legacy, and yes, good sex without BS. Setting up covert contracts does not move me closer to this goal. I'm fine with…

My fiance's advice for young women is, "Hold a man to his word, no more, no less." If he's offering dinner, he's offering dinner. If it is a covert contract... that is his problem, you did not agree to that. But you don't have the right to misinterpret his motives in the process.

Be faithful to God first and he will supply all of your needs. Never compromise faithfulness in attempts to get what you want. You are in your prime to start courting/dating a godly woman and there is nothing wrong with going out looking for her. At 22 you have the opportunity to genuinely meet undamaged young women without people being suspicious of your motives. My main question for you is how invested you are in church and if you were to rate your church from 1-10, what would you rate it? You…

No. When I take women on dates, I buy dinner, period. I'm not buying it with strings attached. I'm not buying it out of obligation or expectation. I'm buying it because it was my choice and I chose to bring her on a date.

I paid $30k fighting to have equal time with my kids and was willing to get child-support raped to do it and I lost simply because of judges personal opinions for separating kids from their dads. Now I pay money to my ex and there is absolutely no requirement that she spend a cent of it on the kids.

"AWALT" "All women are like that." The point of AWALT is not that all women are psychos like the BDP people described. The point is that all of these traits are present in the natural woman and this should influence the way you play the game. BPD type people are not a completely different nature than everyone else, they just have the natural inhibitors and sense of shame suppressed or gone.

It is a relief to the one who is taking advantage of the other. Frankly, when a man knows how to properly exercise frame, it is amazing what can be fixed. If he can't fix it, she will leave anyway, but at least he made the effort.

I don't buy it. Dealing with a buddy right now who is losing about 30k and his dog from a girlfriend breakup. Being unmarried did not help him. Divorce is harmful to mental wellbeing just as a bad marriage is. Most people simply don't know how to be good partners, don't know about the nature of the opposite sex, and are selfish. Those can be learned.

Sounds great but not true. The facts are the facts. No one is saying sucky marriages are good, but instead of nuking them, just fix them. Before no fault divorce there were bad marriages but many of them just got fixed. The law exists in part to add consequences to bad behavior, which motivates people to behave well. You can fix bad marriages. You can fix dead beds. You just have to grow as a person.

The emotional turmoil is impossible to measure but the statistics show that almost everything bad that children can face is worse for children of unmarried parents. Crime, poverty, intelligence, earning as an adult, health... Innumerable intangibles as well.

You don't need to be married to be harmed financially by someone. The government destroying the marriage covenant by rendering it less enforceable than your cell phone contract does not mean that marriage is the problem. It means your government is illegitimate. Marriage existed before your government and it will exist after. The presence of unhealthy relationships is not an argument against healthy ones Everything you do in life involves risk. If you're willing to lose those closest to you beca…

There are two main forms of online dating: hookups and relationships. I'm a Christian and I reject hookup culture inherently, but you are likely to meet high value and high status people on these kind of sites since folks are not looking for a relationship and commitment, they just want sex. On relationship dating sites, most women are below average in part because there is no upward pressure on them (their low value does not impact dating interest towards them until it gets very low) and becaus…

In what other context is money transferred from one party to the other with absolutely no conditions attached under the guise that they will spend it for someone else? "Hey, I need you to spend money on behalf of someone else, here, take this money and mix it in with all your other money and I'll just assume that its being used well!" There are very easy solutions for child support accountability but they don't want them because child support is doing what it was supposed to do, namely, creating…

Brother I understand the feeling. Sunlight is a good disinfectant and it is likely that 95% or more of your depression is due to porn. I don't have any moral objection to SSRIs but I have a strong impulse towards doubting the safety of literally mucking with your brain chemistry directly when it is clear that your depression is linked to your problems. Whether it will successfully medicate the symptoms is beyond my scope but I do know that the only long term solution is to solve these problems. …

This right here is quality content. Learning how to give a sincere apology without breaking frame is critical. Another trick I have seen for this is to make a practice of giving unreserved apologies unprompted when you know you have done wrong.

Physical: Lifting is stalled in part due to neglect and in part due to being in a busy season with lots of travel but I have lifted twice this week. Squats at 315, Deadlift at 385, dumbbell OP 60/hand, bench 185. Bodyweight 215 at 5'9". Porn: ongoing struggle that feels like a losing battle. Obligation kills the magic in sex. If you can handle temporary abstinence, I would get to the bottom of her emotionally. If she feels guilty for taking a break or doing something she enjoys in moderation, she needs to know that you support her doing things she enjoys. If she feels guilty for watching a single show, you can ease this guilt by telling her the next time, "Hey you have had a long day, take a break, watch a show, I have a few things I need to finish." Genuinely make her feel like she…

Complementarianism was invented in the 1980s by people who sought a compromise position between patriarchy and egalitarianism. Patriarchy is biblical. Complementarianism is basically trying to appeal to those who hate the bible's teaching on the sexes by reducing male headship to basically no women elders and a nominal "head of house" status applied to men, but this authority is neutered by a belief in servant leadership that the man only leads by serving his wife (a.k.a. bowing to her constant …

So, it doesn't necessarily sound like you are masculine. Being driven and a hard worker is perfectly compatible with traditional womanhood. The issue with egalitarianism is more about when women become brash, domineering, bossy, or subversive of their husbands. The quintissential traditional woman in a patriarchy is the woman of Proverbs 31 in the Bible and she is doing stuff like textile production, sales, real estate in addition to mothering. So having a go-getter attitude about managing a hom…

Is this working well for you? (Being sincere not sarcastic) I have noticed that men who appreciate man-like assertiveness and action in a woman are often lazy or weak men who are happy to have someone take control of the relationship and their lives. They end up becoming "sitcom dads" who let their lives run their households while the wives gradually lose respect for them. Had a chick tell me once that there are a lot of men she meets that are good people and would be good dads but that she does…

Egalitarianism sucks for both men and women and Sheryl Sandberg is the definitive moment that Facebook became cancer. She should not be listened to about anything. Men don't need a second man with a vagina. They need a woman who will be a woman.

In 1 Corinthians, Paul talks about every person living in the estate to which he was called, whether slave, free, married, unmarried, etc. Now this is talking about conversion to Christ, not getting redpilled but there is a principle here that God has each person in a given place providentially. While you are there you can live according to the principles that you believe in. Since you have access to these children or young adults you have the capacity to influence them the way you would have wa…

50 Shades "pornographies" a real desire, just like pornography intensifies real desire. A man likes breasts, porn presents gigantic ones. A man like aggressive sex, porn makes it extreme. 50 shades is doing the same thing. A woman wants an authoritative ravishing, not an equal partner asking her to sign a permission slip. Care has to be taken to not actually violate her wishes but this is a lot simpler than it sounds. But she also probably doesn't want the actual events of 50 shades. She just fi…
