You should. Absolutely. If you’ve not heard of Vishen Lakhiani from Mindvalley, I think you’d love him. I’m also a sucker for doing the ‘inner work’ and I recognize most books you’ve mentioned. Some of them are sitting on my Amazon wish list; some on my bedside table. Your write-up was a lot like looking in my own mirror and asking myself ‘exactly how far have I actually come’ in those areas. I’m so thankful for how far I’ve come; but like you, always a work in progress and a masterpiece at the …

Spoiler Alert: The better you expect of and give yourself, the better you ultimately get. I remember so bad wanting to get married in my early 20s to a man who was mediocre overall (not too much of a bad dude, just mediocre). I thought I could change him, we could work together and grow and all types of related settling loser thoughts. At your age, I remember thinking no one else would ever love me. That this was it or I’d die an old maid. When I left, it was like a huuuge weight off my shoulder…

Where did you drop your crown? You need to go pick it up. And drop that garbage like a bad habit.

I hear you and where you’re coming from and why you’d say what you’re saying. But the truth is, the only thing that counts is the kind of man you marry and how you both handle the transitions of life. Bezos and Gates both started ‘from the bottom’ with their wives, we can see how one of those turned out. Idris Elba just got married to someone no one had ever heard of; she certainly wasn’t there ‘from the bottom’ and I’m hoping they’ll both be happy. Steve Harvey and Kevin Hart both had ‘starter …

I respectfully disagree; love is not an investment, it’s a gift. There’s nothing like ‘guarantees’ and ‘security’ when it comes to love and loyalty. Poor men cheat on their wives just as much as rich men do. I have seen a gazillion women who ‘started from the bottom’ only to be traded in when the man feels like he finally has more options. My mum and aunties are just but close examples. Anyone who wants to marry a rich man should just as much as anyone who wants to marry a visionary ‘from the bo…

I’m sorry you felt misjudged. All I had to go on was the post. And the comment about wanting a ring to ‘wow’ other people really threw me off considering I wasn’t well versed with the whole RP Concept. Still does sound superficial without proper context. I have no reason to be jealous. I’m a lawyer myself and have mostly only dated successful men who enjoyed being generous. It just never occurred to me that it’s possible to be very overt about how much you want someone to spend on a flashy ring …

I now consider myself well updated on the whole RP concept, thank you. Not 100% up my alley but interesting to learn all the same. I’ll grab a stool and some pop corn 🤓.

I’m right there with you. I personally enjoy a man that can provide (and enjoys providing) but it sounds depressing AF to reduce the potential of a man as a human being and a life partner to ONLY the value of his bank account. And more than that, to limit myself to being a pretty ornament whose sole purpose is to make a dude look good. But yes, I’m new 🤓

I’m new here and I may get downvoted to hell for this but damn! From this writeup it feels like the most interesting thing to you about your spouse is his money and how you can use it to impress other people. You come across as a bit self-centered and narcissistic IMO. There’s a reason why they say that there’s a direct inverse correlation between the size of the wedding and the length of the marriage. It’s okay to like nice things; I do too. But to essentially put a price on your commitment ree…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
