Yea. I pretty much do that already. I take 100% responsibility for the shit I do and don’t do. I also do 95% of the work around just because of that—-it’s easier to do it than get upset about it. That doesn’t take away that it’s Gd exhausting.

Sounds great but with 2 kids that ain’t possible. Wife also gets mad when I pay too much attention to my kids. She thinks I’m not paying enough attention to her. It’s weird.

Idk. Maybe afraid of what she’ll hear. She’s very stubborn with things. Our family also lives 2 hours away so we’d have to get a babysitter which is easier said than done

It’s always on the table. I’ve thought about it for sure.

Thanks. I appreciate the viewpoint of a woman/mother. Im also a basketball coach on top of everything else. I’ve got a week and a half left so im definitely going to start working out again when that’s all over.

Yea. Good advice. It’s been a pretty dry January- for me anyway. But I’ve had a problem drinking for the last 23 years. Here’s the thing- my wife DOES use it against me. She also doesn’t want me to stop drinking. While she’ll say she does- a few days later she’ll be bringing a bottle of wine home and ask if I want a drink. I say nah- and that’ll open up a whole new can of worms. It’s tough man.

Definitely tricky with the kids. It’s not all 100% bad. Just exhausting. I know I should be grateful with I have. Many people would gladly trade their problems with me. I guess I just needed to vent.

Yea my wife says the same thing. Unfortunately she will then tell me things she needs/ wants fixed.

Good question. I don’t need recognition. It’s nice but not necessary. More their needs I guess. I’ve been with my wife for 23 years married for 14. She wasn’t always like this- well maybe she was but not to this extent. Bipolar runs in her family. She’s also a type one diabetic which plays with her emotions- not her fault at all. I do most of the cooking, cleaning, helping the kids etc. I’m 44 with two young kids. Im also a teacher with 75 10 year olds with their own needs. Im exhausted.

Ha. You obviously don’t know my wife. I tell her and it’ll ratchet things up x10.

Meh. I’m a male teacher- fifth grade as well. Sounds like this dude needs to stand up for himself. Want a lightbulb? I’m busy. I’m too aggressive? Worry about your own kids. Move tables? Dude- just do it. I get where he’s coming from- and it sounds like a shitty school- but he’s gotta be more assertive.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
