Everyone makes mistakes. Did she get away with something bad because she's a woman and cried? Yeah, most likely. Is that fair to everyone? No. Is it fair that so many men get sent off to jail or prison for stupid mistakes similar to this one? I don't think so. I'd rather we stop destroying lives with legal problems than spread those same problems to the other sex in the name of fairness.

Are you saying that making examples of people is a good idea? Seems like cruel and unusual punishment to give someone a huge punishment for something that would normally not demand such just for the sake of having someone to point to and say, "The rest of you shits, don't do what he did!"

As someone who has made mistakes in the past I look at the Uber driver as someone Jesus would be proud of. He turned the other cheek. He didn't ruin the woman's life over less than an hour of terrible decisions. Yeah, when I first saw the video my thoughts were that she should be put on the stake. But do we really need to be so harsh with our punishments? Did she really do that much damage?
