This is awesome that you have the discipline to get an early start and accomplish shit, it's what I'm working towards to revamp my life. Right now as far as self-improvement goes I'm working on /r/nofap /r/pornfree and /r/learnprogramming. also in my free time I'm trying to learn an instrument and learn a language. slow but steady process!

I like this a lot. When I first read 'The Game', I (along with many people) naively thought that it took some silly routines and peacocking, etc. to get women and we've all learned that there's much more to it than that. That's why the seduction community has shifted to focus on Inner Game in recent years. We need to get our shit together first, and then our confidence will stem from pride in how we are living our lives. A quote I saw on here that I really like was that "The best way to get laid…

Ok relax. they are an 'invitation' to initiate. nonverbal cues that signify attraction.

I understand what you're saying and I have thought about this issue for awhile. My theory is that the pressure/expectation for guys to initiate the approach is more of an evolutionary phenomenon than a societal one. Girls are attracted to Alpha males and men who know what the want and go after it, and therefore the approach is a kind of test to determine their suitability for reproduction. But honestly I think girls often try to initiate in their own way, but guys often miss out on their signals…

Congrats just don't get too attached. Neediness is very unattractive, have your own life independent of your girlfriend.

Great post. I need to get many aspects of my life together, I think that confidence comes from taking pride in one's actions and accomplishments...and this is possible by having the self-discipline to minimize negative habits and maximize productivity.

Someone posted about this awhile back and it turned into a huge debate. People were saying stuff like 'cold showers decrease testosterone levels'?

You're clearly an intelligent and informative woman, but one thing we should all keep in mind is the saying that I've seen on here before: "You don't ask a fish how to catch another fish." And don't take it to be condescending, because what I see in that saying is that there is some element of subconscious behavior by which you are governed. It is impossible to be fully self-aware of all of your behavioral intricacies, (i.e. your body movements, voice intonations, facial expressions, etc.) I thi…

This only seems far-fetched because Reddit is full of neckbeards who never have the balls to even approach a woman, let alone be direct with her. How do you know this stuff doesn't happen if you've never tried it out? ITT Reddit is full of insecure Indoor Kids who would rather accuse a stranger of bullshitting a story then actually go out and find a girl.

do a lot of people put a condom on and then receive oral sex? that just seems weird to me...and for the girl probably who would suck on plastic...although i guess they make flavored condoms for this purpose.

Ok I always wear a condom for sex but never for receiving oral sex, anyone know if I am still at high risk to catch anything this way? (sorry if this is not the right place to post this but it's been on my mind for awhile)

Nicely done. Not that you weren't successful, but even joking about her being a cougar might make her feel a bit judged and self-conscious though.

Alright guys, there are no objectively right approaches to pick up. I'm not trying to get in a debate here, just sharing something that's has worked for me. By all means do what works for you.

I too became very excited after reading MM and the game, but you need to be careful. Don't adopt these techniques if you can't carry them out with complete confidence. The PUA community has shifted to a focus on inner game for a reason. Tyler Durden's The Blueprint is long but quite powerful. From personal experience, I tried MM strategies but they weren't congruent to my persona and so I crashed and burned. One important thing to know, which a lot of people tend to overlook, is that there is no…

Yes! Thanks for saying this, it is a better alternative the group game because it is more simple.

That can also be a pretty messy game considering people often spill, I don't think that a lot of bars would be cool with this but I agree it's a great game, just better suited for house parties.

Another game, very simple: (two versions) 1 v 1 (but can quickly alternate with opponents, so can still do in a group) You face opponent and both are holding fists in the air (fists are parallel, palm side down). Taking turns, one person calls out a number (either 0, 5, 10, 15, 20), and you try to guess the number of fingers that will be out. (so if you yell 10, maybe you would open up your fist for the 5 and then expect her to open one of her fists). The game goes fast and you have to open our …

Yeah mate I would but my knees fucked and I had surgery, can't be going out for quite a while. But I agree it's generally better to test things for yourself first rather then just telling someone else to try it.

Girl texting on phone. You walk up, start saying "5, 3, 1, 8...(your phone number). Her -"what are you doing?" you- "you asked for my #! " "no I didn't?" "oh, we'll you'll want it after this conversation. Hi, I'm --------" Heard about this move from someone else. Anyone wanna field test it?

On one hand, I agree with you that these terms and phrases are stupid and cheesy. I also don't think that a lot of them are fair to women. How would you feel if your sisters or friends who are girls are reduced to simply HB and a number? But on the other side of things, I think that it is a waste of time to try and change other people's behavior. Just ignore the dumb shit and write your own quality FR's and posts. Seddit can be great for supporting each other, sharing ideas, and building our con…

I know its a cliche suggestion, but Dale Carnegies book How to Win Friends and Influence people really put things in perspective for me as to how to do what your asking. The main things I took away from this book were: Take a genuine interest in other people. Don't criticize, condemn, or complain Remember that to another person, their name is the sweetest sound to hear Try to honestly see things from the other person's point of view Be sympathetic towards the person's ideas and desires As far as…

Wait, you're telling me that you had a successful night without: * 1) Trying to seduce a girl who had a boyfriend * 2) Acting like a cocky asshole * 3) Subtly insulting her to lower her self-confidence and then later taking advantage of her when she's drunk AMAZING! To be honest though, one of the best posts I've read on here in a while. I love seeing the slow and steady improvements and dedicated work on inner game. Plus you just sound like a good guy.

It's always good to see guys working up the courage to ask for a stranger's number, but to be honest I don't think this field report is contributing much to Seddit. Props to you for the number close but I didn't learn anything of significance from this.

This is a cool idea man, thanks for posting. I need to learn to better discipline myself and not always choose whatever is more comfortable, and I can see the parallel of initially wanting to switch to warm water and initially having reservations about approaching a girl. Plus I had know idea about the health benefits.

One of the most valuable things that I learned from Tyler Durden is the what you say really doesn't mean shit. Its all about whether you present yourself with enough confidence and an unshakeable frame. Girls are usually very good at picking up on subtleties in our body language, expressions, and mannerisms.

Being a jerk and being unpredictable are not the same thing at all. I think the thing to take away from this article is that a girl will get bored easily if she always knows what to expect from you. However if you are spontaneous and not always readily available, then this may trigger emotions in her brain because you are perceived as more interesting and attractive.

I'm glad you brought up this topic, very interested in what girls abroad are like. I'm in Taiwan now. I sense that a lot of girls here are a bit more sexually conservative than in the West and they can be quite shy, but being a tall/not bad looking white guy works wonders over here. I am definitely interested in living in Thailand for a while after my teaching contract is up though. I'm hoping that casual relationships and sexual expression are more common over there. The only things I'm worried…

I want a costume that says I am sexy and confident without being try-hard. Some simple ones are cowboy or pirate (plaid shirt or striped shirt with a few accessories), but if anyone is really creative then please share your ideas. Great video, thanks for posting. I need to make a conscious effort to break my routine habits of shitty/insecure body language.

Here's me being honest with you: I don't give a fuck about pirating whatever I want to. If you've got moral qualms then go buy the book, but for me I believe that it is the creators responsibility to understand that we live in an information age in which most people will not purchase something that they can get quickly and for free. (the exception being smart people like Louis Ck who produce great material and make it available easily without a third-party and for a cheap price)

Sure you want to see her again, but you have a stronger desire to see that you two develop a relationship or sexual connection. 'Do what you want to do' doesn't mean to always act on impulse, but just that you shouldn't be constantly trying to predict/assess what you think others want you to do and acting on that.

You shouldn't take this from my post. The problem with the type of 'Nice Guys' that Glover talks about is that they are actually dishonest (or won't say how they really feel) and have dysfunctional relationships. Wouldn't you rather have a son who is straightforward and unafraid to take on challenges in life instead of a people-pleaser who just plays it safe all of the time and lets people walk all over him?

Yeah I mean this part isn't true across the board, but our generation in general has lost touch with masculinity for a variety of reasons (including 20th century historical trends), such as: Rise of divorces/single mom households Rise of feminism Shift from farm labor to industrial work

This doesn't mean that you shouldnt try to self-actualize, fulfill your potential, and accomplish things. It's just to a reminder that you are human, thus imperfect, so stop putting so much pressure on yourself to appear otherwise to people.

By this I meant to consider how the way in which you were raised continues to play a role in how you act today. This goes back to Glovers' point that childhood abandonment experiences or distant father-son relationships led us to develop behavior patterns that made us strive to appear wantless, so that we will be loved.

Throw out the 'vanilla'. how do you expect to stand out when shes heard the same boring shit from 10000 people in other interactions. I mean, what you say is not super important, but how you say it is. Be enthusiastic but self-amusing. Don't try to get any sort of reaction out of her and dont go into the interaction with any expectations. Just see it as an opportunity to have a fun convo with a stranger, and it takes a ton of pressure off of your shoulders. There are million things to talk about…
