My wife and I got together at 25 and she was still a virgin, but she didn’t have any prior dating experience due to being in art school (female dominant) and an introvert. It can happen, but it’s just extremely rare

I agree, I think that’s just natural biology though. IIRC there’s already large scale research out there saying that women are just naturally rated physically higher than men by both genders, sexual orientation, or cultures. I think they call it the “gender attractiveness gap”. IMO this is just natural selection at work. If you think about various animals, it’s quite common in nature for the biggest, toughest males to get all the females. Horses are the epitome of this where a single alpha male …

> Even if 80% of women rate a man below average on a dating app, that still doesn’t establish an objective “true rating.” It establishes a statistical preference among a particular sample. I think you misunderstood the survey, the result is women in general rate 80% of men as below average in attractiveness; i.e if you put 100 photos of 100 different random men in front of a woman, she’ll say 80 of them are below average. This pattern was consistent across a few thousand women. So for a specific…

Male for sure. My wife and I have good genes, and we want an athletic chad. We have a daughter and we’re really worried for her growing up in this world… Good looking women obviously get a lot of attention, and we’re worried she’s going to mix with the wrong crowd…

I think you’re heavily overestimating the amount of men you swipe right on. The average woman swipes right only about 5~10% of the time, this will probably better illustrate where men are coming from.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/25 03:32 PM
7

How many times do you swipe left before you swiped right once? That’s what guys are referring to, at the end of the day, girls are going to reject the vast majority of guys due to looks. So whatever you’re saying here doesn’t matter to men, because men are looking at what’s the biggest determining factor.

Why does it need distinction?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 06:23 PM

Is the reverse not true too? The entire female population has to compete for the tiny number of men who put effort in themselves to be appealing to women too.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 05:53 PM

So what? Why concern yourself with women like that? If you put in the work, you'll have plenty of options to choose who you want to be with. You can even go to a different country and be a passport bro too.

As someone who puts in a lot of effort to remain appealing to my wife, why is it torture? You should want to help yourself live a better life. A lot of the characteristics that women find attractive will drastically improve your overall quality of life, for example: career development, fitness, skin care, fashion, charisma, etc.

You might not think of them less as people, but you certainly thought they weren't good enough for you to give them a chance right? Now multiply that by 100... Imagine going out of your comfort zone and trying to approach 100 different women just to get rejected and given different excuses over and over.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/24 05:34 PM
22

You've been rejected once or only a few times, because let's be honest, most women RARELY if ever approach/pursue men. Even if they do, they still expect the man to take the lead after approaching. Whereas for most men, rejection is all that they know; they've experienced it their entire life.

People in their early 20s want to go out to party and “discover themselves”. Getting married young means you’re trying to start a family and once you have kids, it’s almost impossible to go out.

Here’s some video proof: clip from CUT There’s dating shows all over YouTube of women mocking men for being a virgin, and how they’ll NEVER date them or give them a chance etc. In my opinion, I think these women deep down feel contempt because they wish they weren’t as promiscuous.

My dude, two things. I preserved eggs a long time ago in case I ever wanted to have kids so if I wanted kids I already have that option. You might want to do a bit more research into this, from what I've heard online from people who've gone through this process, it's not a reliable method of conceiving whatsoever... There was one example of a woman who had roughly 8 eggs frozen, and 6 of them weren't even viable, and the last 2 failed. Two, my ovarian reserves are quite literally on the same lev…

Having kids and being married isn’t all that I have to offer the world. I'm sorry, but if you're in your mid 40s and you're downplaying having kids, it just doesn't sound genuine at all, because that's not even a real option for you anymore. It's very easy to downplay something that you can't do, it just sounds like cope at this point. Having a stable, healthy marriage while raising healthy, mentally stable children is the greatest contribution to society any of us can offer to the world. The mi…

Having kids and being married isn’t all that I have to offer the world. Too bad this mindset isn't sustainable for society, and it's one of the biggest reasons that's causing the slow collapse of Western society. I always have to qualify with this statement. I am conventionally attractive and have not struggled in dating or even making friends. Give it some more years and as you reach your mid 30s-40s, and you'll start struggling and it'll be too late to do anything about it...

Yes except many women didn't have the privelage to not work. Throughout women very much did work besides their dometic duties. What you are talking about is very much is a thing in American history, which is quite funny because the lack of work turned a lot of house hold women insane (housewife syndrome). For most of human history, most people were farmers, so both parents definitely had to put in a lot of hours on the farm. The heavier, more labor-intensive work were generally tasked to men whi…

imbalance in financial stability Okay, let's talk about this... Is it not a privilege to not have to work and be able to spend your time at home with your family or kids? Yes, there's a downside of not having your own "financial stability", but the trade off for financial stability is having to slave away at a job... If you look online regarding this topic, there's actually a huge group of women who are complaining about having to work, and they wish had a man who would provide for them instead.…

A good example of this would be that women weren't allowed to own a credit card without their father, brother or husband co-signing it. From what I recall, the women of that time was actually very approving of these policies. It was a privilege to not own credit cards, it meant that you couldn't be legally held accountable for debts. Not being able to own land and subsequently not able to be drafted meant that you weren't tasked with defending your land or country too.

You’re moving the goal post, first it’s ‘woman don’t like cold approaches from any man’, and now it’s ‘attractive men don’t need to approach’… Have you been in any male groups? What you’re saying is so far off from reality… If you’ve ever met any attractive fuck boy types, you’ll know that they would cold approach any girl that they find attractive, and have relatively good success rates… racking up body counts in the triple digits…

Dude, if cold calling was a successful sales tactic it wouldn’t be grunt work assigned to the lowest of the low sales people. The reason it has a low success rate is because you’re disturbing busy people in the middle of their day to pitch a product they don’t give a fuck about. Your whole logic here is flawed, because you're assuming she has no interest to begin with, and would therefore feel disturbed when cold approached. However, there's obviously going to be a small percentage of men that a…

LOL do you honestly believe that? Rules are only enforced for people that they don’t find attractive or only moderately attractive. Everyone, both male and female, break rules constantly for good looking people, and the better looking they are, the less boundaries people are willing to put up.

I would call 6%-7% small If you think about it, 6-7% isn't a small quantity of women at all. Let's assume since they're doing it frequently, that's about 3-4 dates a month, in this scenario, they'd easily waste the vast majority of available men's time within a few months... In addition to that, this doesn't even take consideration of the women who only do this occasionally... As more and more men's time get wasted, they're less likely invest more time, money and energy into dating and courting …

There's no way it's just natural... There's a reason why some men get an insane amount of attention from women and have almost never faced rejection in their life, while most men get close to no attention from women. There are some physical features that are clearly sought after by most women, i.e height, athletic build, strong jaw line, facial symmetry, etc. The fact that these features are judged means that there's some sort of cost-benefit analysis going on.

It's normal to have a crush on someone and then try to start something. Right, so in order to develop a crush on someone in the first place, you'd need to find him attractive in some way right?

I think you're talking about sprinting before even knowing how to walk... A cost benefit analysis definitely happens well ahead of love in relationships; women definitely analyze men and what their 'package' includes, i.e 'is he financially successful, or at least has direction in life?', 'is he physically intimidating, do I feel protected with him?', 'is he socially adjusted?', etc. In my opinion, women only date men that they feel have passed their total package threshold. Sex is just sex. There’s nothing sacred about it. Yeah, when you've been with a plethora of partners it does become "just sex"; you've lost the ability to pair bond properly, but ask someone who's a virgin or has traditional values with only a small number of partners in long term relationships, and chances are sex isn't just sex to them. Iirc, we all release hormones that bond us to our sexual partners, women especially, so when you're ran through, you can kind of see where the problem lies... …

It's simple, you don't need to be ran through to have a healthy relationship; it's not a requirement nor does it help in anyway. In my opinion, women often use hoe phases instead of therapy to heal from their emotional trauma; you use it because it's easy to "fill the void" temporarily, but nothing in this world that comes that easily is generally good for you. I personally, had a small-ish hoe phase after my 1st ex and I split. For example, if you were to tell your husband that you slept around…

That study is not true and way overused on this forum. I think it's used because it's so true; how many times have you seen women online say something along the lines of: he wasn't my type at ALLLLL, but I gave him a chance, and now I'm sooooo in love with him and I find him attractive now. The problem here is that you're calling someone with all of those characteristics "NORMAL"... Look around you, the average person isn't very physically attractive. For you to find someone attractive, they'd have to be at least 70th percentile (I'm being generous here since you're saying they weren't ugly but decent). There's wayyyyyy too many cases of women wayyyyyy valuing themselves. From my anecdotal experience, it's not that women don't care about a man's feelings (assuming a serious relationship), but it's that most people are not very emotionally intelligent, which is why I think so many relationships have issues with communication. I'll bite: Women can get relationships and sex a lot easier than men, i.e they can open their legs for the man with a 6pack and get sex even if she isn't physically on her level. This explains why you don't see it in magazines, and why "average at best" women nowadays tend to have such humongous egos. What women really want is drama and affirmation, which is why you see nothing but drama, horoscopes, and the current trending positivity movement in magazines.

Is it low T? I view it as mature, because I'm communicating exactly how I feel and what I want openly, and I try to reduce the pressure on them by telling them to take their time to consider it. For reference, my wife and ex were both rated at least an 8 or 9 by all of my friends, and they were both virgins in their 20s. In fact, my wife was an ex model, and had been scouted multiple times walking around downtown.

Unless you're referring to getting more action from multiple women as a player/fuckboi, then I disagree, there are tactful ways to cross boundaries that don't involve forcing your way in like an AH. You clearly don't watch his content, please stop making stuff up, and misrepresenting him by coming to your own conclusions. He has said on multiple occasions that men will have flings with overweight women, but their standards for a wife is obviously different. So if a woman is looking for a husband, she needs to make herself competitive by being at a normal weight.

You're getting off topic, you're talking about individual relationships, whereas OP is talking about society as a whole. In an ideal world, we'd have a high amount of happy marriages with a sustainable birthrate. We have neither of those two factors.

Although I agree that there are some women that put in a lot of effort to look pretty and presentable, the obesity rates in America is the second highest in the world. The vast majority of women are either overweight or could be considered chubby. There's barely any women that are even close to an actress's level of fitness or body fat percentage. This is why we see so many posts from women where as soon as they lose the weight, they're already way above average in terms of looks, and get a lot …

every relationship like that seems like an opportunity and like a metric to measure your own appeal against. In my opinion, I think this is just a difference between how most men and women view relationships; as men, I would argue that we're sort of 'wired' to chase attractive mates to a certain extent, whereas most women will often take a much more passive approach to dating.

Think of modeling agencies the same as escort agencies who have a roster of women under them, they're essentially the "pimps" in these transactions. So with an agency in play, the transaction usually looks something like this: rich guy with connections sees some models he likes, then tells the agency that he has a gig for those models, but he wants to "meet" them first. The agency then goes to the girls and says "Hey I have a great opportunity for you guys! This [executive] from [company] wants …

If their family isn't selling them then their family is probably wealthy themselves and have the connections. In order to get good gigs, you have to have connections; there are thousands of beautiful models out there, they're not exactly a rare commodity. Basically what I'm saying is that someone has to provide the connections that provide jobs.

There are generally early tells or signs that people ignore, and over time the boundary of what's acceptable just keeps getting pushed until it inevitably gets pushed too far. I'm not excusing their behavior, in my case she was clearly messed up for doing something like that to me, but I also overlooked a lot of red flags due to inexperience. Essentially, I'm saying we have a responsibility to ourself to keep ourself safe from being taken advantage of. You can only be taken advantage of if you agree to something in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/22 03:34 AM

What percentage do you think it's their fault for being toxic or your fault for being a doormat? When I was younger, the girl I lost my virginity to told me to keep our relationship a secret so she can date around behind my back. She eventually found someone and announced it to mutual friends who had no idea her and I had a thing. It was a sad experience... However, reflecting on the situation now that I'm older, I realized I was just being a doormat and agreeing to anything.

I think you're confused. Women want exactly what the manosphere thinks they want, which is what the orginal commenter said as well: an alpha who acts like a simp/beta for them specifically; having someone who's supposedly "high value" simp for them will boost their own egos. You've described exactly that in your post too, but I think you're getting confused because women do want alphas irl, but alphas will never simp for them like they do in these fictional novels.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/21 02:05 PM

Then that's not an alpha at all That's why it's only a fantasy. Like you said in your post, a true Alpha isn't going to be a beta to some random basic b****. These books were written to appeal to the average woman, it's not representative of men's actual behavior. Billionaires are still going to have his pick of supermodels.

I don't think the amount of effort required is that vastly different for men and women. If you're strictly talking about losing weight and getting toned, the majority of the work is diet based and not workout based. So with that being said, eating clean isn't that different between men and women.

Oh we did have premarital sex, I meant she was a virgin before dating me. I think sexual chemistry like many other things in life takes a lot of time and effort to create and maintain. Both parties has to be invested in the pleasure of the other party for this it to work. I'm East Asian, however I don't think it's the race that's the most important factor, imo I think it's mostly about family background. No, neither of us are religious. We're just both from traditional households that promote serious relationships. As a guy who just recently married a "good girl" with no sexual past (virgin), I'm hoping to never end up on r/deadbedrooms. Currently, our sexual chemistry has been good throughout our entire relationship (just over 3 years), and I'd say her sex drive is slightly higher than mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 08:45 PM
2

There's also another possibility that some people just aren't desperate for sex because there is no scarcity. When I was single, sex wasn't something that I prioritized because it wasn't hard to get. Instead, it's much harder to find a partner that has all of the ideal characteristics and personality traits that I'm looking for. For example, wanting to actively stay in good physical shape, happy go lucky attitude, introverted, low n-count, submissive, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/21 04:31 PM

When I was single, I wouldn't say it's as extreme as wanting sex immediately, that just sounds like you're coming from a position of desperation and scarcity. Instead, I'd say that hanging out with more attractive people is just more enjoyable in general, even if it's just conversation. The baseline enjoyment is much higher.

In that case, its impossible for him to “love himself” because he has no reason to. This is where you're wrong. No, it's not an improvement, it's basically going from 1 problem to the next. The whole "yesssss Queen!" mentality is harmful because it builds people's confidence on a foundation made of sand and mud. Personal fulfillment and self confidence needs to be derived from their own personal success and hard work. Simply calling oneself a queen to artificially boost their confidence makes people arrogant, and is akin to living inside of a glass house.

A wealthy dude can provide experiences for the girl that she'll never normally be able to experience, i.e traveling, riding in fancy cars, eating at fancy restaurants, etc.

Are you from a small city/town? I'm from Toronto and know of overweight women that still get some attention from unattractive men. However, I do agree with the other user that being thin and fit definitely makes you at least a 6.

That's a good mindset to have! In my opinion, not enough women are practicing delayed gratification and are jumping into sex right away, only to feel used after i.e r/femaledatingstrategy. I get that men will do anything to get sex sometimes, including lying and manipulating, but part of the problem is their own lack of proper screening and standards.

There are 2 things that stand out to me here: He's somehow able to break the ice. I assume he does this through OLD, where you can do a variety of things to appear better than you actually do in real life. I've personally been on dates with girls who I would rate about 5/10 that looked like a solid 8 online. So he's already bypassing a major roadblock somehow (if a person is already on a date, it's very unlikely they'll just get up and leave). In my opinion, having a "chad" personality only work…

Looks are obviously not everything when considering a potential partner, but it is the first trait that either gets you through the door or be forever stuck outside. So it is EVERYTHING in the sense that, if you do not meet someone's physical standards when you first meet them, you'll never have a chance.

If what you want is pussy, this "ambition" doesn't mean shit if you're looking for a LTR I disagree with your sentiment. A man high n-count man is clearly doing something right, i.e a man doesn't get a high n-count if he's not desirable in some way (unless his n-count are from low quality women). So if you're assuming he's able have sex with a variety of women, he's obviously going to be able to find a LTR easily; it's just a matter of if he's willing to commit or not.

This just isn't true at all. If you look at social/pack animals in nature, the alphas are always the most caring ones because they have to "take care" of the pack or else the pack dies.

Did they ever have a "slut phase"? I think that's what most people are referring to as hookup culture.

I think hookup culture is somewhat real but for most women I've known, it's been a phase for them; i.e they usually call it a "slut phase" where they would actively look for ONS and see what the buzz is about, but quickly realize that it isn't that fun to sleep with a stranger and stop.

Hmm they're not as rare as you think... My current fiancee fits the bill completely and we started dating when we were 25. My ex also did too and I was 22 and she was 23 at the time. They obviously didn't lose their virginity young so they valued their virginity to a certain degree; this makes them somewhat more careful about who they chose. As people get older, we obviously get smarter and wiser too. They both had plenty of suitors, and men would constantly cold approach them in public. I had t…

I disagree. This only works if the guy is generally viewed as attractive, if not, the guy just comes off as creepy. Imagine a 4/10 guy being an aggressive savage...

You misunderstood my intent, but maybe I left out too many details too. When I said "everyone is suffering", what I meant to say was life was never meant to be easy. We all have problems of our own, and the only way to move forward is to accept it, be mentally tough, and face it head on. When you say something like this: My brothers are suffering and no one gives any kind of shit. Horrific. You are either consciously or subconsciously thinking that you, or people like you, DESERVE some kind of u…

I didn't just say "get over it". I specifically told him to stop playing the victim, because that mentality is very unproductive and cyclical. Life was never meant to be easy, and everyone has problems.

Everyone is suffering bro. You need to stop playing the victim and get mentally tougher to face life's challenges. This is the only way to move forward and find happiness.

This right here is the answer. To be fair to the exes though, I think women have a much higher propensity to complain about their partners than men; men in general just don't talk about their personal lives as much. Also, there's a factor of broken telephone and an extremely narrow view of the relationship. If a guy hears about a girl complaining about her partner or ex, he's only getting about 1% of their entire relationship, but to the listener, it seems like 100%.

Female strangers: I get told by older women (maybe 40+) that I'm good looking pretty often Male strangers: never Female friends: I've been told I'm good looking by close friends Male friends: I get compliments about looking buffer if I've been working out. Women I'm sleeping with/dating: all the time

Why are you so adamant on using OLD? It's painfully obvious that it's an extremely inefficient way to actually get a date or relationship (too much demand and not enough supply of female attention). I also recommend cold approaching women offline, or if you're very socially anxious, you can try contacting old acquaintances through social media.

I'm glad you found your own unique happiness. However, it sounds like your "marriage" is only in name, and not what it's actually intended to describe: a happy, loving, and commited relationship. It sounds like you're creating a bubble around yourself to protect your own ego from judgement, maybe your fellow churchmates? Did you really find your own inner peace/way or did you only find your safe, little corner? MGTOW and red pill philosophy, in general, sounds like a defense mechanism developed …

No one chooses the conditions and environments they're born in, we all have to face trials and tribulations in life. I don't have control over this shit as much as i wish i had. You have more control than you think, the problem as a whole may seem large and unfixable, but if you break it down into parts, it becomes much easier and manageable. Would you date a girl like that though? This is your anxiety speaking. Don't let it control you. Work on yourself and try to make small steps towards becom…

How do you deceit someone for sex? She says yes or no. Isn't this obvious? I thought the definition of being "played" means that the guy tricked the girl with a false sense of commitment, and as soon as the guy gets sex, he leaves and ghosts. Or do you believe a woman is vulnerable to coercion the second she's around a man with mean, or more "power"? I don't think it's coercion or power, rather I think women will give it up now easily to someone they find very physically attractive or has qualit…

Everybody has the right to be picky. We should be picky. Hooking up with anyone who graces our doorway is ludicrous. People have the exclusive rights to (a) their own standards and (b) what the terms of their romantic / sexual relationships will be. Now that said, some people are insanely fucking picky. The first part of this sounds very SJW-esque and kind of unnecessary tbh. I do agree that some people are extremely picky, and I've personally witnessed this a few times amongst friends over the …

As a man who's probably above average in attractiveness, I personally don't believe in sex before commitment. Sexual compatibility is extremely important to me, however, I've never been with a girl who's not sexually compatible with me; I guess I've been lucky that all of my past partners are willing to do whatever I ask for. In my opinion, I think it's really important to have a type and standards, instead of trying to have sex with anything that will let you. The relationship will feel so much…

My role as a woman will require me to give my man things he cannot give me biologically. This is an entirely different topic and point that has nothing to do with being a gold digger or not. I will not consider a man who won't pay for a first date because I will not squabble over a few dollars. So you're saying that you don't care about those few dollars, but if he doesn't pay those few dollars, there's going to be a problem? Do you know the definition of hypocrisy? I am not interested in people…

I am, 2+ years. I would never, ever consider a woman for LTR if they expected me to pay. Same boat as you, and it's surprising that someone would think this is a rare concept. p.s what's HVM? I'm new to this community and can't find it in the acronyms.

I had kindof an "awakening" so to speak where he just made me want to do....things lol. Congratulations! I'm happy for you! I feel like this is a huge sign of a healthy, happy relationship; that innate desire or lust for your partner that keeps the sexlife fresh and exciting.

I am not a gold digger for not wanting to date cheap men... Don't pay but don't complain about being looked over by men we find more attractive for female investment. You sound like a hypocrite. So correct me if I'm wrong, but you're saying something along the lines of "I'm not a gold-digger, but if you don't pay, I'm gonna find someone who will or is more attractive"? Isn't that the definition of a gold digger, i.e someone who's in a relationship for the money or in other words, money is the de…

I think by a certain age and depending on context someone being a virgin or being very low N (assuming they were single a lot of that time) would probably lean towards more conservative views on sex, but that is an assumption. I've been with a few women that were virgins in their early 20s now, and this has been consistently true everytime. It's usually a mix of being conservative and having high standards/picky. We were all inexperienced once and I think if you genuinely like sex the “right guy…
