Personally I don't see any reason to lift because my source of income does not require physical strength and I don't need to impress tinder sluts with a pumped up body. Your body needs exercise to give you energy and stay healthy, especially if you have a desk job. A couple of hours cardio and core strength exercises per week will do just fine.

But my manager chose me because I was the best candidate for the job. This was brought up at my 6 months evaluation and he said that he made the right choice.
