I don't think he pitied her. When he walks away with his daughter at the end, you can clearly see him mouthing the word "Cunt" when he turns around. I think he just believes that walking into someone on accident shouldn't result in an arrest, whether it's male or female.

I should probably clarify that last sentence. What I meant was is that all the so-called 'extreme misogynistic' posts that are touted by other boards as proof this one is a hate group is almost always downvoted by this group. I have a personal guideline I try to uphold when it comes to downvoting. I don't downvote disagreements, only dicks.

Not necessarily, the article doesn't mention the relationship between the owner and the accuser, so for all we know she could only be a niece who was upset at the killing of the animal. But this point is somewhat moot as being emotional doesn't give a person the right to ruin somebodies life. Fourteen is old enough to know this, so what she did was totally inexcusable, if indeed the story is true.

No he wasn't. The 14 year old did not own the dog, nor can she legally. It was her family members dog, and that family member asked the gentleman to put the dog down as the owner couldn't do so herself. I've been asked by neighbors to do this deed before when their dogs were ran over (nearest vet is 35 miles away). But I think after this, if one asks me and I know they have children, I'm telling them to call someone else.

Somewhat agree. False accusations should be punished, but the wording needs to be very strict when it comes to what constitutes false accusations. If such a law without this is passed, it might end up sending people who were raped to prison just because they couldn't prove their case. However, if intent can be shown, damn right the assholes should be put away. I also think it's only fair that they be put on the Sex Offender lists, that way both men and women can look it up and know to keep away …

Overkill. The system is clearly screwed up, and I believe false accusations should carry stiffer penalties than they currently do. If this guy ever gets the chance to prove his case, which I doubt, I hope she gets time in juvy, and possible jail time for putting this family through so much.
