obviously you aren't ready to give a woman who is what she needs. Continue to date but be upfront of what you want and what you are looking for.

Thank you for your service. I was in the corps as well! You aren't wrong, it's better to be single and lonely then to be with someone who makes you feel alone, but that's a negative mindset. There is some woman out there that is perfect for you and will make you feel like a million bucks. I divorced last year, loveless marriage, she had an affair, I divorced her immediately. I went on some dates with some random women, just looking to get out of the house, have fun, somebody to grab a beer with …

Just man up brother and go on some dates! Keep hitting the gym! I got divorced last year, but I was so over my ex already I immediately started to hit the dating scene. I didn't like dating multiplle women, not my thing but you got to see what's out there and hopefully find a connection whatever that connection might be! I'm 51 and went out with women from 25 to late 40's. I have a teenager in college so that works out pretty well being single. I finally met an amazing women, early 40's, divorce…

Now why would you let her keep the house? I assume its in your name or both your names? do you have equity? If you can't afford to move in the area you live now, why would you just give your house away to the woman you are divorcing? Sell the house, split the proceeds, make sure you stay in the area you are out now as to not disrupt your sons life anymore then you need too.

When I found out my wife was having an affair, I had divorce papers served to her in 3 days at her work:) The divorce was final in 6 months. Sorry man, but it's over, start working on yourself and your future and start preparing for what's coming. Get a lawyer and document everything you can possibly document. Separate your money asap if you haven't already.

so you have been separated for 3 years and have no children? Brother, end it. You can try and get legal aid or ask the courts to have your wife pay for legal fees, but get it done and start your own life. Do not waste anymore time on this woman! You deserve better. It doesn't matter if you have done nothing wrong, lot of states are no fault states. Filing first you have a slight upper hand, but it doesn't really change the outcome. You basically just dictate the pace and how aggressive you want …

I would definitely get yourself an attorney and prepare brother. Your kids are not super young so that's good that they will be able to understand what's going on. Not sure if they have any idea at this point. Keep hitting they gym, improve yourself. I"m sorry to say she isn't worth it man, I know it's easy to say and will take time to fully grasp it, but you deserver better, you will find better. You've got this.

As you know, texas is no fault divorce. Infidelity doesn't carry a lot of weight in court. Now if young kids were involved and brought around other men and shared funds was used to pay for affairs, then you have a stronger case against her. But if you have done some shady things to and don't want it to air out, I'd just leave it alone and go 50/50. Maybe if you can primary custody and have final say about what happens with the kids, but that'll cost you and she'll probably fight it.

Texting some gym dude is cheating, sorry man. Former military here so I get what many guys have gone through when being deployed. But you've said it out loud, it's been a loveless marriage for awhile now. I was in one of those and divorced last year after 20 years. Luckily our kid was in college already, when have been much harder. She had an affair and I immediately divorced her, kicked her out and just sold our house. I"ve got a hot girlfriend who I adore now! I can do what I want, when I want…

I think you lost your love for her years ago. Now it's comfort, a roommate, a best friend. It's hard to walk away from that even though the intimacy is gone. I've been there, recently. I have a new woman in my life and for the first time in 25 years I can actually be myself with her and the feelings I have for her are unlike anything I had for my Ex. I loved my ex, but I married the wrong woman then just got comfortable being there, being with the kids, living day by day. Now my whole world has …

I was divorced last year. I got quickly tired of going out with multiple women and telling the same story over and over again. Half of them were pretty crazy, the rest were just not my type, boring, not much going on with life, or had young kids, etc, etc. Luckily I met a woman who just wanted a fun friend to hang out with, drink beer, go to shows. not looking for anything serious. I ended up falling for her and eventually she finally fell for me:) I've been having the best time ever in my life,…

The answer depends on how old your kids are. Younger? Mini golf and burgers or something. Older, just all go out to dinner or something. If you have teens, they are old enough know what's going on and if they are cool with you dating and willing to meet the new gf, doing a dinner will be simple enough.

No matter how much is sucks, she's done and checked out. Sounds like she lied a lot to you. So you focus on the kids, being the best dad ever! You focus on yourself! Get to the gym and become the best person you can physically and I promise that will help you mentally. Then when you build a little confidence, go out on some dates and enjoy yourself! Time to move on brother, you'll get through this.

Do your thing bro. Only thing I would keep in mind is if you have kids, their ages and what they might think about you dating again and talk to them about it if they are at the appropriate age. I have a teenager so he is totally cool with me dating, he doesn't want his dad to be alone.

I hate to break it to you brother, but women speak in half truths from my experience. Her emotional affair most likely was longer than she said and it got physical. She could still be involved, one reason she doesn't want sex with you any longer. I'd dig into her activities and communications first before you do anything. As far as money, she isn't making that money yet, so alimony or her feeling better than you shouldn't be a topic of discussion. She's also finally decide to better herself beca…

Is this a relationship you want to take to the next level? I don't know your ages, but it's possible he is done having kids and you might want some of your own someday. So you have to look at that, super important information. If he is a good father, you have to understand his kids are his priority and you cannot look at his time away from you while he is with his kids in a personal way or not giving you the attention you want. I am about to be divorced with a 19 year old. I would not be in a se…

I feel you brother! My wife stepped out on our marriage in a big way. Soon as I confirmed it to be true, I filed for divorce had her served 3 days later. I've said a lot of my peace to her, but she really fucked our family over and our 19 year old son is not very happy with her. My revenge is she lost her sons respect, lost me, her best friend, lost some of our best friends who absolutely are disgusted with what she did. All she has left are friends who supported her behavior and want her misera…

Are you all still legally married or is the divorce final? If you two are still married, she's fucked herself, just fyi.

Everyone is giving you pretty good prices. I paid 9k retainer, $400/hr. My "wife" fucked up bad so we might get this settled without evening sitting for mediation. Just sign some agreed upon paperwork and wrap it up. Definitely get a family law/Divorce attorney, not a jack of all trades. You do get what you pay for.

Man I feel for you. Wife had a full blown affair with 67 year old, she's 48, but looks 33. Unbelievable. Are you two technically married? My lawyer said it was NOT a good idea to date around, at least not get caught because you are still legally married and can effect the final outcome of the divorce proceedings. Not sure if you know that, it could even help you when you divide up the community property. Get and save all this proof, let your lawyer know!

Bro, I am going through this right now as we speak. I just served her divorce papers last week. I feel your pain as my wife was having a full blown affair for over a year. Married 19 years, together for 25, have a freshman in college. Luckily I have good friends who found out about it, because her dumbass told a couple of girlfriends and it got back to me. I got her on recored admitting everything, I got all the phone records, etc, et. Although I am heart broken and we have yet to break it to ou…

I'm going through a divorce after 19 years, 25 years together. She got served last week. Although I am an amazing father, caretaker, always supported her, respected her, list goes in, she become unhappy. I still thought that we would push through any issues because we had built such a good life together and have such an awesome son. Probably wondering why I served her divorce papers last week. She had a full blown hardcore affair for over a year. I should have known. She was completely checked o…

We plan on informing him next week when he is in town. I will let my "wife" start the conversation and let her take the lead, the minute she tries to minimize what she has done, I will step in. I will add things in if needed. He doesn't need to know every single details but he does need to know this was not my fault nor my choice and his mother made some very intentional and bad decisions. None of it being his fault.

I am prepared for her to turn into a monster, I'm ready for it as I have receipts and I have the support of our closest friends. All she has left in this world are the shitty friends that knew what she was doing and supported it. They are also the ones that sold her out. She has nothing anymore.

You are right, she would still be having this affair if it was up to her. As of the other night when I confronted her, she was still blowing up this guys phone all day long. Who knows if she'll end up with this guy down the road, but it would be the 2nd worst mistake of her life to stay with this guy as my son would completely disown his mother vs being really upset at her.

Appreciate the advice. I started doing a lot of that. I've started the filing process already, hopefully I beat her to it. I also got her on recording admitting to everything and on top of that admitting I did absolutely nothing wrong to her that I didn't deserve this.

Sorry that happened to you. I suspected something was up, but I ignored all my gut instincts. She told a bunch of her friends about it! It's how word got out eventually, so I am sure she was ready to jump shit when this other dude divorced his wife, I guess when he got caught, he didn't leave his wife, but dumped mine!

"Nobody cares about your problems and half the people are glad you got them" One of my favorite quotes and you are exactly right. Luckily our best friends in the world and god parents to our son are the ones that told me all about this. I at least have them, she's lost them as friends and they are the ones that know us best and our kid. Yeah I need to look at separating my money quickly.

She has no proof because it never happened. Even her friends that would be on her side, if called up to testify would not be able to say there was DV, they'd purger themselves if they did and face jail time.

Sorry to hear you went through that. The last few years she's out earned by 3-1, so not worried about her trying to take any spousal support from me, it could be me taking from her. But we do have a home, cars, 401, pension, etc.

She's already partially confessed, but I got much more severe information just recently. She will know something is off for me because I won't be able to pretend that everything is okay and I know she is just waiting for shit to hit the fan, she knows some of it came out, the rest will eventually.

I don't understand it either. She's destroyed it all.

Yeah at least a year and he's been bankrolling her business, lol just crazy shit, bought her a 10k watch, etc. She'd be out in public holding his hand, which people saw and people saw. Just a bunch of crazy flagrant stuff, lying about who's she's with all the time, etc, etc. But yeah I am lucky that our closest friends know who she really is now and have my back.

Thank you for all the feedback.. God that would be insane if she did all that. We have a lot of close friends, some closer than others. Not one will testify saying I cheated or abused her, never happened and they all know she is not the type of women to ever deal with that. She's an Alpha so playing the victim card nobody would believe, not even her friends and they know me. I'm not worried about her going that crazy. I do know she will try to be the victim in other ways, but not from abuse. She…

Sorry to hear that you have experienced the same thing. Those are all good points to think about. I do not think I can come back from this. Her affair only ended because the other guy got caught and he broke it off. She was probably going to run off with this guy, or expected him to leave his wife at some point. She's only still here out of default. Our son is an amazing kid and we have a super tight relationship with him and I would say overall him and I are closer, he is going to be very hurt …

Thanks again. I have an appointment with an attorney tomorrow. In Texas not sure yet about finances. We do pretty well, I make a great living but the past few years she has tripled my income, she's more than fine financially.

Appreciate the advice. Seeing an attorney tomorrow. She's been kissing my butt last couple of days since she admitted to "harmless" lunches with some married guy that ended months ago. Which turns out to be BS. I think she only remorseful because she's been caught and our son will not be happy with her. Since her initial confession, turns out she's done such much worse that I haven't confronted her on yet

I left out a lot of details because too much to type out. I'll try and make this short, our best friends, the wife confronted her about some initial accusations she was hearing, she denied it, them my wife told me about that convo, then 2 days later admitted to meeting a married guy offline months ago a few times for lunch, and nothing happened. So that confirmed everything our friend had heard. New info just came out that is much more severe and ended 2 weeks ago, because the other dude got cau…

I appreciate it. Not sure counseling is in the cards for me. The act alone is bad enough, but basically the whole town knew before me and she flaunted it with no care in the world with being caught apparently. There are a lot more details, I tried to make it short but the level of disrespect is off the charts.
