I grew up with two irrational parents who would constantly blow up at me — I wasn’t remotely disobedient, but my mom would just make up rules on the fly so I could break them. First I learned to walk on eggshells, second I learned how to be nimble and steer my mom’s emotions. Basically learning charisma on hard mode. Once I could charm someone who’d look for any excuse to abuse me, interacting with decent people was a breeze. Unlike lots of guys here, I grew up thinking women were crazy and comp…

And are you by any chance in a relationship? Yes And if yes, is it of the open kind? No

I’m implying that you are in denial about your sexual orientation. It sounds like you are infatuated with men and disgusted by women.

Nope. One time I unwittingly went on a date with a girl who turned out to be a prostitute — she paid for dinner.

She ate cum with too much zeal. Like scooping it up and licking her fingers while looking me in the eyes. Not sure if it was genuine or she thought it’d turn me on, but it didn’t.

I can only speak for my own bipolar experience, but when I’m in a manic episode I could convince a lesbian nun to fuck me. I’m not proud of it and I’ve been blessedly stable for five years now but yeah… every single episode I’d rack up like 10 new partners in six weeks.

It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever read here and that’s saying something I doubt there’s any researched causality on this subject, and what would be the parameters anyway? She has to initiate divorce within a week? A year? 5 years? And then there’s no way to possibly prove that her promotion is the direct reason for a divorce. And if there was even a way to measure, 90% is a joke. These dudes do not live in reality.

I know I mentioned wingmanning, but on top of that, I have some very awkward friends who benefit from hanging with me and my gf. She’s an incredible listener and I think it gives them confidence just to be on friendly terms with a pretty woman. She sees them as genuinely great guys and is always enthusiastic to include them at her own social functions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 12:06 AM

I’m in a relationship and spend almost all my time around women, so tbh I vastly prefer when my existing guy friends are single (not that I wish for it or anything) or when I make a new guy friend who’s single. I need an escape from the estrogen occasionally, and it’s great when I can just watch the stupidest shit, say the most offensive things I can think of, talk about past sexual experiences, smoke too much weed, blast cigs and eat shitty food. Wing manning is fun too. Not something I want to…

Also I don’t think she’s conscious of this, but I basically don’t let her see my dick unless I’m full mast and we’re about to have sex. I’m like a level 10 grower and I’d prefer that when she thinks of my dick, she only thinks of the monster that tickles her esophagus lol. Maybe that reeks of insecurity, but I think it’s good to keep some mystery alive and tbh I’d prefer if she did a little more of that for me too.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 07:24 PM

I think I get what you mean. I’ve woken up to my partner every morning for five years now, and the first thing on my mind is the millions of work messages I’ve already received from 8 timezones away. I see her naked every day when she’s rushing out the door to run her own business. Nudity and bed used to signal immediate sex, but now they’re just mundane parts of our stressful everyday lives. So without those sexual triggers, there’s less room for spontaneity and we have to be more intentional a…

Idk I’ve had some surprising reactions to being this guy. After a year of remote work a bunch of my coworkers finally met at a conference awhile back. I was already Zoom friendly with my hottest coworker and she expected my undivided attention once we were together. But there were multiple times I chose to talk to my 40something autistic coworker instead and that really sparked something inside her lol. Probably just jarring for her to see that I pay the same attention and genuine interest to pe…

I wouldn’t reject an uneducated and unemployed woman because she can’t pull her weight, I’d reject her because she’s dull and has no ambition. Even a starving artist is fine.

Oh yeah I didn’t mean to generalize about girls who don’t wear makeup, just that my type specifically tends to be bi. Women can be very feminine and not wear makeup, but my type tends to dress pretty androgynous.

I think the insecurity is what makes the more “deceptive” ones unattractive to me. Different if it’s a first date or a woman you meet at some kind of social function, but I’m talking about the women you see daily who will never leave the house without a full face of makeup. Spending hours to cover a face they don’t want anyone to see. These things have a way of filtering themselves. I like confident women who are indifferent to male attention and have higher priorities than dolling up every day.…

I think the most drastic one is when a girl with invisible eyebrows uses some kind of pencil or filler. That could be literally the only makeup she has on, but it’s like a completely different face the morning after.

Right, like I grew up in an all-woman household, have dated a bunch, work in a woman-dominated field, lived with multiple female roommates, lived with a couple partners. Not saying that makes me an expert, but I know with all certainty that I’ve seen the no makeup/makeup transition a million times.

Hot people do have input, everything from direct compliments to instant sex to undeserved halo effect benefits. That last part is easier to observe if someone wasn’t always attractive – I used to work so hard for recognition, and now things just fall in my lap that I know I haven’t earned.

9 in the face 8 career 8 body/5 height/10 dick 10 personality So I guess around an 8.5. I’m in a career that draws very attractive and charismatic people and I’ve never had any trouble standing out. I didn’t always recognize my advantages while dating, but I’ve never had to pursue a woman and I’ve never been broken up with or pushed away. It’s been 5 years since I was last single, and back then I was an alcoholic with an untreated mental illness – the kind that makes you a blackhearted horny dem…

The streets of central Hollywood and Venice are mostly full of (in the most respectful way possible lol) tourists and unhoused people. If you like the influencer types then Purp’s list is good, but the ladies I like are in Silver Lake/Los Feliz and then parts of the East Hollywood, Echo Park and Highland Park. More likely to be spotted in cargo pants than yoga pants.

That’s exactly how I see it, but there are men who love fake tits so clearly we’re not all wired the same. I would take a 6 with average tits over a 10 with fakes.

Probably some truth to that, but in my experience it’s often code for “hot Anglo brunette who doesn’t have comically large tits/ass.” Dad bod is actually the perfect analogy because women think it means “fitter than 80 percent of men but doesn’t have a six pack.” I’m sure if Alexandra Daddario had C cups guys would say she’s the type of plain girl they like.

I think the grocery store is where this has always hit me the hardest. It’s one thing to see attractive people at a restaurant, a concert, the beach, but not under fluorescent lights in the toilet paper aisle.

It’s ground zero for all that shit. My gf is from here and non-Angelenos are always shocked when they find out. More than a few times the reaction has been “oh! I’m so surprised because you’re… not… a fucking bitch.” Like I can see them try to put it more delicately and they fail lol.

Well I specified LA and that this area isn’t representative of the 10 million people in LA county. I’m talking around the 90026-90027 neighborhoods. There’s a sweet spot where an area is expensive enough to house people who are professionally attractive, but isn’t so expensive that it’s only affordable for aging millionaires/billionaires. Also I’ve never been to Stockton, but it must be a dang leper colony if people from St. Louis are more attractive. I grew up not too far from there.

Exactly. When a 25 year old model marries a 90 year old billionaire in America, everyone knows what’s up. Passport bros are billionaires in these countries. Doesn’t necessarily mean foreign women find them unattractive, but it also wouldn't matter if they did — someone’s taking the lottery ticket.

I think there’s a bit of an explanation there, and it’s that wealthier, more educated women put off marriage til later. These are typically women who don’t want to think about starting a family until they’ve finished school, moved to a good job market and established a career. Whereas poorer people are much more family oriented and stay in one place. So single women in their late 20s/early 30s are more likely to be successful and want a man at their level.

Definitely depends on the concert, no one’s getting bitches at a run the jewels show. If it’s boy music then naturally the only girls who come are gonna be with their boyfriends. Luckily I’ve got gay ass taste in pop and indie music. Pretty sure I’ve gotten laid just from being the nearest straight guy at a show.

Obviously I wouldn’t recommend building your career path around meeting women, but I went to school for a female-dominated major (journalism) and ended up in an even more female-dominated career (PR). I was shy and awkward in high school, so having that kind of exposure and collaboration in college subconsciously taught me to treat women as people, and even how to do what many guys would consider “mind reading.” No matter how hot a girl was, I wasn’t going to sacrifice my grade by simping instea…

I know what you mean lol but peacocking is a term that was literally invented to describe the mating rituals of males. Female peacocks look pretty plain while the male peacocks walk around like the baddest bitches on earth for a chance at some tail.

I’m really similar, and that’s why I’m taken aback when I see a true candid picture of myself. I look so happy! Not the kind of smile I’d ever flash in the mirror or for a posed picture. That said, the deadpan look is great if the rest of the picture is absurd. Like if you’re expressionless in front of a funny sign (I had one in front of the medical offices of Dr. Anita Wang) or there are two dogs humping behind you. These types of pics made up the majority of my profile and were excellent conve…

Well consider that socioeconomically disadvantaged women are more likely to have “undesirable” traits (ex. overweight, children) and you still have the issue of men preferring to date socioeconomically advantaged women because those women are more likely to be attractive. Very good point. Money means better nutrition, better teeth, hair and skin, better sleep, better access to fitness and free time and health care on demand. Money begets confidence, and even affords the freedom to pursue passion…

Maybe for men who are already rich – an inherently tiny population – but why wouldn’t the average man want to marry into a wealthier family? I know I just changed the topic to wealthy families, but let’s be honest, young people don’t get high-paying jobs in a vacuum. When you see a successful 30-year-old doctor or lawyer, 9 times out of 10 they had parents paying their rent and tuition so they could focus on school and graduate with no debt. Not to mention the tens/hundreds of thousands they pai…

Must be. I went on probably 30ish first dates before I settled down, and split the costs on every single one. Maybe that’s because I’d go to bars rather than restaurants – which I would highly recommend – but I’d always buy the first round and she’d insist on alternating after that... and we’d have sex almost every time, despite all the guys who think paying for dates should influence women to sleep with them. I dated women my age who made their own money and would consider it infantilizing for …

I’ll qualify this by saying I’m a very good looking dude with more of a pretty boy vibe than hyper masculine (also barely 5’9”), but I’ve had the opposite experience. First time I remember was when I was 18 and my gf’s mom was doing yard work. I volunteered to do it for her and caught my gf looking at me through the window. The second I walked into the house she grabbed me by the shirt and busted that shit open lmao, I instantly realized what was going on and took note. Drove a random drunk girl…

Me and my guy friends are super tight and supportive of each other. We’re all 30 and grew up in a very conservative area, so it’s not something we take for granted. But it is extremely interesting that all of us grew up with sisters and many of us without dads. I’m talking like my ten or so closest guy friends – not a single brother among us. Statistically that’s pretty fucking insane, but it makes perfect sense that we’re more vulnerable and never really engaged in the pissing contests I see in…

Honestly this is the biggest key for bars and parties to consistently attract women. In college my roommates and I used to throw the biggest parties in town, basically the place to be for everyone not in frat life. We were late bloomer dudes who got a little drunk off our sudden power, which largely manifested in us throwing out any guys who girls said made them uncomfortable. Burden of proof was nonexistent. I’m sure more than a few decent guys got caught in the crossfire, but the results spoke…

this is why people in rural areas barely have depression and have their life literally sorted Dude… Maybe you’re not from the US, but if you are, this is an insane statement. Suicide rates, opioid deaths and loneliness are higher among the rural white working class than anywhere in the country. And it’s not close.
