From its beginning all of its writings imply that women were passive uncooperative participants to all gender related issues. You need to be born on another planet to believe this. But on this one, that is clearly not the case. Where are you getting this from? There are literally dozens of books that discuss how patriarchy is a system people of all genders participate in...

Ideally you'd read the article before posing but on this occasion it would help if you'd read the title.

That's the first reason that comes to you for this not being a good argument? It occurs to me that this is completely anecdotal. It's something that happened once, there's nothing to say it's indicative of a trend.

Not even all of the random examples I gave are all in London let alone all the actual attacks, where are you getting this information from? Why do you think the IRA have only attacked London (yet another example of simply not being informed on the subject) and again, why does the scale of the terrorism matter to the principle being applied?

What is it you think I don't get about debating? Apart from any other points I could make about the Japanese guy being IN the Middle East obviously not equating to ISIS being IN Japan I can't really see the relevance of the scale of the terror. Please show how members of a religion from which terrorists take their inspiration should only apologise when that terror is on a global scale. How does that scale make a difference to the principle being applied? I'm not try to justify any terrorism at a…

This posts comes across like you just skim read a wiki page on the subject. Also "The Troubles" happened back in the 60's, from what I can tell, and lasted quite a while. Muslim terrorists managed to wrack up that number in ONE DAY on an unprovoked attack. Ok so back to the question: How many people do terrorist from a religion have to kill before members of that religion should apologise? I can't see how it "only" happening in the UK makes any difference to the concept of members of the religio…

I have no idea what you're talking about, you're someone else who's attributing arguments to me that i haven't made. I'm simply responding to comments, not to any other issues.

What point exactly are you trying to argue against here? It certainly isn't an argument against what I said or what the first level comment said so as far as I can see you're just going off on a random tangent so I'll wish you all the best.

The IRA are a Catholic terrorist group, they are motivated by their Catholicism, they want Northern Ireland to be a Catholic country. All sounds a bit familiar? Maybe I should cherrypick some quotes from The Bible to help my argument like I see every day about Muslim Terrorists. Numbers of people killed? How many people do terrorist from a religion have to kill before members of that religion should apologise? 3500 civilians have been killed during The Troubles.

None of the Christians I know ever apologised to me for the IRA despite them killing people in my home town and in my postal town. None of the Christians I know apologised for Anders Breivik.

You're conflating two things. Rehabilitation from the experiences of prison is not rehabilitation from the offense. To be rehabilitated from the offense he must first admit guilt, there's no getting away from that.
/r/MensRights05/01/15 03:34 PM
1

I'm not sure, my only point is that a starting requirement would be an admission of a problem to be rehabilitated from, maybe ask /u/ZimbaZumba ?
/r/MensRights05/01/15 02:28 PM
1

How can you undergo a process of rehabilitation while insisting there is no problem to be rehabilitated from? Rehabilitation isn't something that the criminal justice system does to a person, one needs to take an active role. Consider an alcoholic, how can they be rehabilitated from alcoholism while they deny that it is a problem?
/r/MensRights05/01/15 02:16 PM

Just out of interest, are you suggesting that if Evans (had) accepted that he was guilty as charged then you would consider him rehabilitated and therefore able to play professionally again? No not at. I'm suggesting that that would have been a basis from which to start a process of rehabilitation.
/r/MensRights05/01/15 02:05 PM

I'm not sure how rehabilitation comes into this when he's still protesting his innocence. Rehabilitated or not guilty, pick one.

Misandry is still not recognized by spell check... yo tediumdroid whats up with that? Is the irony of posting about spell check in a thread that's critisising someone's genuine efforts to DO something about a men's issue completely lost on you? "Hi guys i'm trying to do something about male suicide rates" "Not sure how I feel about that. WHAT ABOUT SPELL CHECK THOUGH!?"

It's almost like they're trying to actually DO something about men's issues that isn't just whining about feminism isn't it...?

Don't break the circle jerk. It's something that feminists do so MRM cannot approve of it, it's as simple as that.

This is the first time I've ever heard this degree of certainty that a rape took place on MRM. If you think you can show otherwise please show me the post. So your position is that we can't definitely know who did it but it's obvious what their race is? I don't really get how saying some individuals might not be guilty is getting you off the hook regarding presumption of guilt, surely the only thing up for debate now is how many people's guilt your presuming?
/r/MensRights02/09/14 04:11 PM

Yeah one instance could be faked. Many thousands of related instances though... Ah ok, with multiple rapists it's not innocent until proven guilty, it's no smoke without fire. I'm just glad MRM is so consistent.

This is honestly one of the stupidest articles I've ever read on the internet. So in that sense yeah I guess pretty amazing. “In 2014, this should be a thing that we shrug off,” says Marvel executive editor Tom Brevoort about the new black Captain America. “It shouldn’t be seen as revolutionary, but it still feels exciting.” Marvel are 100% correct, they changed the actor to one that happened to be black, so what? So if it’s no big thing, why did you do it in the first place, and why does it fee…

Feminism certainly is an ideology that might claim that. Now how about you address my post before you go around accusing people of dodging questions.
/r/MensRights22/04/14 09:02 PM
-7

I think you're missing the point. I'm saying that it's a bit of a stretch to decide that someone is a feminist because they agree with something that you think a feminist would say about ONE THING. There are probably many other movements that share single or more ideas with feminism (like maybe MRM?). It's actually a logical problem: X movement believes A hence if you believe A you must be a part of X movement. Surely you can see the logical problem with that?
/r/MensRights22/04/14 08:51 PM

At least yours is a more sensible argument than /u/Essemd presents. These two women are expressing one view that you think would correspond with what a feminist would think so they must be feminists right?
/r/MensRights22/04/14 08:39 PM
-5

Solid argument there. There's no evidence for something but we'll just go ahead and make a claim because there's no evidence against it. For the record i'm not saying they're not, i'm not the one making any claims. When you make a claim the onus is really on you to provide the evidence.

Poking holes in theories is what makes the world a better place because we arrive at much more helpful answers. Yes but if you only try to poke holes in theories that don't confirm what you already think then you're never going to learn anything. As I say, where are the threads where people try to poke holes in methodology used to draw conclusions the sub agrees with, there are none. You are asking for ways to confirm your bias, it's as simple as that.

What and it just so happens that this is an example of wanting to disprove something that this sub disagrees with? Can you link to a thread asking for a way to "shoot down" something that the sub agrees with? Where's the thread wanting a way to disprove inequality in reproductive rights? You won't find such a thread because it doesn't fit the subs bias. This isn't someone who wants to understand something, it's someone who wants to disprove something because it doesn't fit his or her world view.…

Someone provided this as an argument and I need to shoot it down Funny how unashamed of this you are. It's a classic example of /r/mensrights finding facts to suit their predetermined conclusion.

What's your issue with The Oxford English Dictionary defines an anti-feminist as "one opposed to women or to feminism; a person (usu. a man) who is hostile to sexual equality or to the advocacy of women's rights."[1] This is a cited fact. The OED does define it like this. It's also a cited factual statement that certain arguments have been made, I don't see the basis for complaint here...
