From people I actually know in age gap relationships it’s always the woman wanting someone “mature” or someone who has a car/apartment with the man being just okay with it rather than chasing them but that’s anecdotal so likely different by region and country.

The big one is that many men just don’t get those signals but attraction doesn’t always develop right away and taking a step to define a relationship can help someone with developing attraction to a person.

Almost all of them sound like good options, assuming it’s mostly the same age range like in most jobs I’ve worked and that around 60% of them are single because this are the statistics for men under 30 then that’s a good amount of good options with a high likelihood of them accepting. Let’s say it’s a team of 30 people in a division of 4 similar teams that are in constant contact like my last job and with an equal gender ratio that’s up to 9 people per team although for an actual social circle i…

Most thin women are about as rectangular shaped as thin men but femboys have thinner waists than most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 08:14 PM

femboys are hourglass shaped, body builders are triangular.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 08:08 PM

that’s like most femboys, they’re thinner, taller and dress in cuter and more revealing outfits than the average woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 08:01 PM

why not date femboys?

Behavior is not as important as looks but it can be the difference between getting a date and not getting a date. I got way more successful with women when I started acting in ways that men don’t see as socially acceptable.

was there anything in the ok Cupid study about what percentage each gender has to message someone around his or her attractiveness rather than just the percentage split for who they message first? Because most men still message more than women from what I understand. I don’t want to seem argumentative it’s just that it’s a common rhetoric in gender discussions that I don’t want to use in a misleading way.

what’s the opposite data? from what I remember reading swiping rates on dating apps for women are way lower than for men and I would be surprised if the average woman swipes right on as many as 20% of men.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/24 05:24 PM

That’s the issue for me too, it used to be more scientific with a lot of people linking sociology studies in those communities and trying to apply the results in dating but now I barely see those things.

what’s the alternative if there aren’t as many women who are willing to be with men who aren’t masking as there are men who don’t want to mask?

Like saying a person looking for a romantic relationship is secretly a sex pest or feels entitled for them sexually when all he did was show an interest in a relationship. another is that they’re faking being nice because they treat women they’re into differently from women they’re not interested in romantically. those are the common ones I’ve seen from women I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/24 05:07 PM
6

That one is pretty sad looking but I do see a good amount of posts where they do have a romantic prospect unlike the male incel ones that very rarely do although the ones where the women have ones almost always end in them being left.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/24 06:46 PM

Men who care about nose earrings are a different group of mostly conservatives, they’re not most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/24 10:59 AM

it also takes a decade of hard work to get anything close to that type of body without gear
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/24 10:54 AM

I’d say that one is true, most single men would be willing to give most single women their age a chance at dating and wouldn’t immediately reject them based on looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/24 10:45 AM

Aren’t people saying women start getting less attention at around 30-40? I’m pretty sure men stay horny until at least 50 if not 60
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/24 11:29 PM
6

Because men do the vast majority of the work to get a relationship even if it becomes closer to being equal during the relationship. If men didnt care too much about relationships either women would suddenly get the drive to or no one would try that much while men would still try for sex sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 08:53 AM

Most women wouldn’t be able to get a relationship in that case but I guess hookups would still be fairly popular

It’s literally impossible to say how much is underreported. As a man Ive been harassed by a lot more women than men but most women’s experiences would be the opposite.

There would be no dates if that happened, i only date women who pay for me because i know it means a lot to them but i still was never asked on a date, women tend to mention things related to dating with the hope they’ll be asked out but if I ignore their hints they just drop it instead of asking.

I adds a really bad power dynamic to romance that men either have to exploit or be victims of because it makes an equal relationship harder to find
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/24 03:37 PM

Men do hold each other accountable now and from what I’ve seen a lot more than women, I man can’t tell his buddies he groped someone without being kicked from the group while a lot of the women I know actively encourage this type of behavior

doesn’t the relationship status also affect chances? not as many people get raped by some person they see daily but don’t talk to

i never said women should, I said both are equally responsible for not doing it like the other gender. if all women acted like men we’d have the gay dating experience and if all men acted like women we’d have the lesbian experience
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 11:24 PM

Who said they should? I’m saying both sides are going at it in opposite ways so theyre equally responsible for it.

it’s equally women’s fault for not going for half the men they know.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 09:17 PM

I think those are just the ones they met in real life, i haven’t seen any people getting upset by podcasts or whatever unless it shows off a behavior that they talk about being hurt by in real life. same Thing with women commenting about clearly fake videos of men behaving badly and using it to talk about real experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 03:13 PM
1

I don’t think they look better because the only thing makeup is made to do is alter their looks but I do prefer real things over fake so once I notice it I can’t see it in the same way. Same reason I prefer stone to ceramics with printed stone textures .

Average is 5’2 but it depends on where
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 07:31 PM
-5

Women up to 5’5 are considered more desirable and get dates much more easily than average and below average height women, it’s a smaller difference than with men where a much smaller minority is considered much more desirable but there’s still a difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 07:14 PM
-2

an above average woman is still more desirable than a shorter one up to a certain height
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 06:58 PM

It’s a superior trait Because it’s considered more attractive on average.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 05:57 PM

Aren’t they both meant to prevent the problem?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 12:25 AM

To be fair women also get criticized for having high standards and for being successful because of their low standards although with women the criticism is usually the that don’t stand up to those standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/24 05:48 PM

No, I think a one sided relationship where one side is accepting of the other’s flaws while the other is so unwilling to see that side as a person that s/he would be willing to end the relationship out of nowhere leads to a far worse relationship that’s pretty toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/24 04:23 PM

It shows they’re less accepting of imperfection than the men they date
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/24 04:15 PM
1

any partner who seems more desirable to the other has leverage, women use sex and affection as leverage all the time because men give it away for free but just because someone dates down doesn’t mean he or she is doing it for leverage
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/24 09:37 AM

Hypergamy doesn’t mean “willing to date someone better” it means only being willing to date someone better. most men will date a woman poorer than them at higher rates than women which is why many people who complain about dating culture say they’re hypergamous or hypocritical.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/24 12:18 AM

Are there really that many men who prefer working full time to being seen as not 100% traditional?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:52 PM
1

People usually marry within their class, I don’t know many married couples where the wage gap is massive because that involves one side settling for a worse lifestyle.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 07:29 PM
5

men only make a few percent more than women in the same positions, if that’s enough to cause financial hardship then neither should stay at home
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 12:17 PM
4

If that’s the main reason shouldn’t there be about as many stay at home fathers as mothers?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 11:42 AM

i did use them as an example of bad genetic selection that should be avoided, i thunk it’s the same with women having enlarged breasts at all times because they attract men when basically every other mammal only has them when they’re needed.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/24 12:20 PM

In nature females on a lot of species only breed with the most attractive males and they still have diverse population, I think if all humans selected for healthy and intelligent partners over surface level attractive stuff we could still have a diverse population even if there was an initial drop in birth rates.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/24 11:24 AM

could be a villain married someone of the court but servants don’t usually marry someone so high it, could also be from valen and an aristocrat.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/24 10:31 AM

not all women are so selective, maybe if men didn’t have kids with the ones that behave this way there wouldn’t be as many for the next generation.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/24 09:35 AM
3

What about when evolution does it?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 11:22 PM
1

I think it’s pretty easy to sort people with genetic illnesses or a tendency for dangerous events like heart attacks from people from long lines of long living, healthy people who stay sharp until the end.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 10:59 PM
5

I think men being as selective as women is a good thing, especially if both groups selected for better genes over peacock like genes that look good but are worse for survivability.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 10:47 PM
7

I never said women owe men neither sex nor water and the perception that sex is something women give and men want is toxic in my opinion. i also said women don’t owe men water because people aren’t obligated to help others regardless of the outcome.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 10:34 PM
14

Sex is fundamental to the survival of a human’s genes just like water and food are. Im not implying that a woman owes men sex or even water but if an individual dies before he had children then his genes failed no matter if he died at age 7 or 70.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 10:11 PM

It’s not that difficult but living in the us is a lot more expensive with stuff like local taxes being more expensive than a lot of European’ income
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 09:23 PM
2

Usually the person working pays most of the bills and expenses while the one that studies pays with what her or his allowance can
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 08:53 PM
3

That’s a pretty common things in a relationship where with no major age gap where one person is in college and can’t work
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 05:01 PM
4

i don’t argue he can’, men who date college students often fund their lives and support them get left with nothing to show for it if the relationship ends, the same thing often happens with women too which is why I think that’s the equivalent rather than dating someone with bipolar.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 04:29 PM
4

It’s telling women to date equals who could become better than them rather than someone who’s emotionally unstable. The equivelant is exactly the same as the woman version because there are women who treat women badly some of the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/24 03:32 PM
5

Another important detail is that they perpetrate more, I have to add as this wasn’t in the comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/24 09:51 PM
3

also important to mention which group perpetrates it more.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/24 09:25 PM
1

It’s impossible to consider underreporting, most men won’t go to the police or admit to being assaulted if it makes them seem weak and a lot of women won’t report it if they think they might be found. it’s the same with sexual assaul.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/24 09:24 PM
1

those guys actually agree to date average looking women who are averagely thin and have average body counts who arent slaves to men when those women ask them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 11:16 PM
4

!
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 02:17 PM

Because if a single man joins a yoga class people will start finding excuses for why he shouldn’t be there while a woman joining a car meetup group would be showered with affection
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 12:25 PM
3

he’s saying that a woman doing a male dominated hobby will have far more success than a man doing a female dominated one, if all hobbies were segregated it wouldn’t make any sense to talk about men and women in mixed hobbies.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 12:10 PM
6

i think that ignores the majority of men who aren’t fuckboys or rich actors.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/24 11:08 PM

I know women who are shit at taking care of themselves and dont do anything to try and look good that do well with men because they act well

aren't you engaged?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/23 09:14 AM

I wouldn’t really consider it an age gap if it’s less than 10 years. Unless youre High school sweethearts or something
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:45 PM

I haven’t had issues getting women but that might be a good idea if I end up going for the house with a ballroom instead of just using it for storage or something
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 01:04 PM
4

Sure but those things Aren’t part of the person, if someone gets his gf to wear less revealing clothes it doesn’t make her less attractive, it makes her dress in a way that’s less revealing. A better example would be men that encourage their girlfriends to eat less healthy and exercise less so they’re physically less attractive which does happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 11:23 AM
1

Try it then, be yourself without putting any effort into being pretty or super interesting and just show a genuine interest and see how far it gets you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 11:10 AM
1

Most men are pretty accepting, theres a woman I was seeing that had literally nothing to say after the first hour of a day because she just wasn’t that deep as a person and had no hobbies or interests but she Was enthusiastic so I kept putting in the same energy she did.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 09:57 AM

you could go on a date without makeup or a shower and be yourself without trying to impress or make conversation easy and still come I it with him feeling like the date went well as long as you seem receptive
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 10:48 PM
2

I never understood why some men do that, wouldnt it be easier to just keep having sex while looking for more and then ghosting if they were being unethical and wanted the most sex?

School, parent, people around them.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/23 11:48 PM

I guess it depends on your definition of friend but if I’m friends with someone we most likely talk daily and are comfortable around each other so I wouldn’t be friends with someone I disagree on fundamental things with.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 11:13 PM
1

If you’re friends it’s likely you’ll be good in a relationship too. People don’t really get close to people they don’t get along with platonically
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 05:30 PM
3

ive Befriended a lot of women I’m not physically attracted to and that I would’ve still been fine dating because I loved talking to them and was already comfortable around them and it’s the same with most of my make friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 05:27 PM
8

men Are far more likely to catch romantic feelings for friends than women, sex usually comes after a relationship has already started. I’ve helped a lot of friends get the courage to ask out one of their friends because they thought they’d make for a good couple but haven’t had any friends try to hook up with their female friends just so they can continue to be friends after.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 05:23 PM

So you want more safe spaces and places for kids to grow over social spaces? I admit there aren’t enough of those around
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 01:09 PM

You can just go to the local golf course or club if you want that, it’s a great way of meeting people and you don’t really see younger women there
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 12:55 AM

that might work if you’re 20 but most older men would rather have someone stable and loving they could start a family with than to just sleep around and be alone
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 09:36 AM

any woman, even if it’s not someone he‘s attracted to the fact he made her laugh is usually enough for most men

/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 08:43 PM

Yeah these examples are so extreme and exaggerated that most people would not be attracted to them and even if they were they wouldn’t be able to find a partner that actually looks like that. even sometimes with no real people like this (https://imgur.com/gallery/950Hman) body type chart would be a lot better.

You don’t have any friends you talk to despite them not giving you a better chance of knowing women or hobbies you enjoy doing by yoursel?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 10:09 AM
1

there’s a lot of things men do for themselves or as a social thing that doesn’t involve women, getting a weekend car so you can go on car meets with your friends for example is something attractive that’s meant to be seen but isn’t for women’s attention. i have expensive clothes that aren’t revealing or meant to be super sexy because I think they look nice and represent my personality even though they don’t make me more attractive to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 10:08 AM
1

almost everything men do or almost everything men do that’s meant to be flashy/attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 11:37 PM
3

there’s no reason to wear something uncomfortable for a night or to spend half an hour taking a picture if no one is going to see you, I don’t really care what I wear at my home gym but if i go to a commercial one I make sure to wear workout clothes because people can see me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 11:23 PM

Probably because when men do attractive things it’s usually for women
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 09:05 PM

Median is more useful in this context because the bottom 70% of earners hold around 3% of the wealth
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:28 PM

i Think the average woman has a better chance at getting into a relationship with the average man than the other way around
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 10:49 AM

Is this about women waiting in general or about women deciding to wait with a specific guy when they had a lot of casual sex beforehand? Because sex on the first date isn’t a common thing and I wouldn’t think someone is using me if we didn’t mod it before we know each other well and have a deeper connection.

I don’t think there’s a direct equivalent to this, even women who are violent and unstable don’t have much trouble finding a boyfriend in my experience.

So you call giving someone a shot and ending things if they don’t think they’re compatible spam? Would you rather they commit to a date despite knowing it most likely won’t work out?

You’re saying that women get more onlyfans spam bot type messages than men?

That report also states that women get more messages than men on average regardless of how attractive they are.

That’s not a rare thing, men can notice when something isn’t right just like women can and will often interpret it as potentially dangerous even if the women is just socially inept.

Autistic women have more options than autistic men if they want to date someone like-minded because there are about 4 times as many autistic men than there are women

Interesting read! The article seems to say that attractive people do get a lot more messages which is pretty obvious and that men still consistently get less messages than women although I don’t think that means much if they don’t show the amount of men vs women on the platform. It’s really interesting to see that the messaging ratios are almost exactly mirrored despite the attractiveness ratings being so different but like the comments say they let a lot of other factors affect the study like l…

I’m not trying to be overly argumentative or anything but how did the study measure attractiveness?

So do you also think that every woman who’s been in an abusive or manipulative relationship is also a bad person who does bad things just because she didn’t leave?

Being with someone who’s caring and mature doesn’t make you caring and mature a woman can be very happy in a marriage where the man puts in most of the effort without the man being happy and vice versa.

a small minority of women are married to desirable partners in a happy marriage, a small minority of men are desirable partners. Why aren’t you mentioning women being desirable partners? Don’t you need them both to be good partners for the marriage to be happy?

B because you can’t be in the friend zone if you’re not friends although I’d say a lot of the time people are in the friend zone because they didn’t make a move either because they’re afraid of rejection or because they were rejected before they even made a move.

Yes but women can also choose how they present themselves, I often take a jacket with me if I wear a shirt that’s revealing or to hide my watch and woman do the same all the time.

Cash and Jewelry are usually hidden by covering them with your clothes just like human features are so I don’t think it’s a bad analogy

Flirting is just complimenting people, telling them cute jokes and kissing them no?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 11:21 AM

Just because someone is flirting with you doesn’t mean they’re interested in dating, I flirt with friends all the time and it doesn’t mean anything.

People confirm mutual attraction by asking them out, do you just walk up to people and ask if they think you’re pretty?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 10:47 AM

So only a few of the people you talked to that initiated ended up asking you out?

the average man does not get a ton of average women sliding into his dms with the intention of asking them out and having a successful relationship. As a man I do get dick pics and horny people often and it doesn’t really bother me personally but I’m sure it’s more common for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/23 09:50 AM

But isn’t he asking people to challenge his view and to change it?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/23 08:24 AM

If the average man was treated like the average woman and had the same number of options they wouldn’t have low standards.

How does this affect women? In this scenario the woman is the only one who’s dna didn’t end up in a government database.

I’d argue that in both those cases the data is really important to the state because you need it to make informed decisions when it comes to these programs, and for only a few millions of the state’s funds that really isn’t much.

I had a friend who told me to give her my hand and put it on her boobs on the day we met, if a man tried something remotely similar it wouldn’t go over very well

But isn’t that the same for male friends?

Aren’t the most attractive men the good ones? If you got so far that he lead you on that means you had great interactions on the app, I’d imagine it’s mostly the ones that aren’t really successful on tinder that make mistakes like treating them like they want to be treated instead of how she wants to be treated or assuming that getting a match means agreeing to anything more than texting.

For that you need a man who sleeps around
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/23 02:58 AM

I mean as long as those men aren’t being hypocritical about it I don’t think it’s really hurting anyone, men usually don’t like women with high body counts because they’re afraid of what it might say about someone’s personality so I’d imagine most would be fairly lenient if someone was a victim of social pressure and didn’t enjoy it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/23 11:50 PM

Are they? Men rate the average woman as much better than women rate the average man so I don’t think their standards are higher, sure men are more likely to expect perfect skin because a lot of women use makeup but women are more likely to expect natural attractive features that can’t be changed without surgery
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/23 09:54 PM

Don’t most women who don’t want casual relationships have fairly low body counts because they spend a lot more time with each partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/23 08:07 PM

Isn’t physical appearance easier for women? Men don’t have access to makeup or sexy clothing and need to spend a lot more time in the gym to be seen as attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/23 08:07 PM

In that scenario those 40% of males wouldn’t judge them for sleeping around because they’re benefiting from it and are doing the same

Yeah I’m surprised they made the same points that are most often talked about in feminist spaces but with the sexes reversed, maybe any movement that focuses on a single gender instead of both of them is inherently flawed.

Absolutely, i see a lot of gay men with great hygiene, amazing fashion sense and almost all of them are natties. Makes me wonder why men putting this much effort into their looks isn’t more normalized because I think most of the time when straight men don’t it’s just because they weren’t taught to as a kid.
