Sorry, was just going off on a tangent. IME girls who yell about creeps also do things like dress skimpy and then are on the lookout for anyone to glance in their direction so they get to yell at them for being creeps. It reminds me of the girl you were posting about, who was being a rude dick, but then assumed you were just being a creep.

There's not enough information here to know if Bob is an innocent great guy or a rapist. Lawyer up is the best advice. Especially with the claim of drugging and raping her...the place he works at is responsible for getting her drunk if they didn't check ID. He needs to bring that up.

The tumblr feminists who post on internet forums and go to marches are not representatives of feminists as a whole. Keep that in mind.

I don't think its a gender issue. If you provide alcohol to someone under age and they do something dumb, you are responsible. Its the same if you provide alcohol to a minor that goes off and drives away drunk and kills someone. You will face charges beyond just giving alcohol to an underage person.

Even if she said that....blowing up like that isn't cool. I didn't realize you were 17. At 17 I would have screamed at someone like that too. I honestly don't get the girls who wear skimpy outfits that have their tits hanging out to the gym, and do their hair and wear full make up and then complain when guys look at them...or say any guy that stands near them is "creeping". I am a member of a womens only online group and its almost a daily thread where people post about "gym creeps". When I've c…

One of the biggest ones I have noticed in the work place, as a woman, is if a male colleague is out sick women make fun of him for having "man flu" and being a pussy. I knew the guy in question and he was very ill and almost had to be hospitalised. But his female colleagues gave him shit and complained he wasn't coming in and they were having to do his work for him.

My family didn't treat me or my brother differently. He was perfectly allowed to hit me back. He got in trouble at elementary school because a girl hit him and he hit her back. They didn't have any good answer to him for why he wasn't supposed to hit her because she was a girl.

Just to keep in mind, lots of STDs are common and cause no symptoms in some people (Herpes Simplex Virus, HPV) Just because you don't do one night stands does not mean you are not at risk of an STD. 1/4 women have herpes, 1/5 men do too. Something like 90% of people with herpes don't have symptoms and don't know they have it. HPV prevelence is around 45% of women. If you have slept with anyone who was not a virgin, your STD chances are not zero. It would be a good idea to be tested.

By stating that without evidence your client raped her beyond her word, there's reasonable doubt. No one who can afford a decent lawyer would end up in jail on just a persons word. It would be lower economic classes affected by this

Ok, I see your point. I misunderstood you. We don't know how many of those reports are false or true. I give you that. It is unknowable. But the way that a lot of guys on reddit talk, it seems like 305/310 reported rapes end up with a guy in jail based just on a womans word. The fact that the number of reported rapes vs convictions is so low does suggest that isn't quite the case....but ruined reputations another thing all together. A guy who ends up in jail with no evidence besides a woman's wo…

Well, I was the victim of stranger rape, so I don't count it as so incredibly rare its not worth discussing. I think part of the reason it did happen, was I bought into the idea that most men aren't rapists and things like that are so rare its not sensible to worry. And don't be rude or bitchy to a guy thats just trying to talk to you; don't "creep shame". I think part of it was my fault for not considering men to be dangerous enough. There is a part of me that strongly disagrees with the MRA no…

Uh...yeah you can. Compare the # of rapes reported to the police to the # of rape convictions. That is a conviction rate. Thats absolutely, 100% provable.

Well thats stupid. But lets say an individual is very drunk. A person sees them being drunk, and uses it to their advantage to overpower them...ie, Uber driving forcing himself on a drunk passenger, guy follows girl zig zagging on the sidewalk back to her flat, etc. Does it become "not rape" and the victims fault just because they were drunk and didn't protect themselves better?

I'm pretty sure they can, at least in the UK.

Well, fair enough. I do agree that some of the feminazi types get absolutely unjusitiedly hysterical if you state precautions women can take against being assaulted. I don't think a victim being drunk should make a rapist not face consequences. But I do think there's nothing wrong with telling young college age girls "Don't get too drunk or put yourself in unsensible positions". Some of the stories of "rape" I have read, to be fair mostly on the internet since people IRL don't talk about this, a…

To be honest, I think one thing that might help would be 100% strict confidentiality in the process. Make it impossible for any details or names to be released to the media or publicized of either victims or accused.

So if you were drunk in an uber, then your uber driver anally raped you.....are you implicated?
/r/MensRights13/06/17 02:47 PM

Thats just how people's minds work. You accuse a guy of being a rapist. Even if he doesn't get arrested, people are still going to be suspicious of him. They will wonder if he secretly did it, but maybe there just wasn't enough evidence. Its a pretty damn serious accusation. Its also unique in that its one of the few crimes where victims get judged too. If you get beaten up and mugged, everyone will just be like "sorry that happened to you". But if you get raped, you will get asked what you were…

So what if she was barfing into a purse in an uber? Do you believe that drunk people cannot be raped, or "deserve" to be raped?
/r/MensRights13/06/17 02:36 PM

Its the nature of the crime...its a difficult crime to prove with lots of grey areas. False rape accusations are a lot less common than this particular niche of the internet likes to focus on. But in the west, if a guy simply gets accused, no matter how baseless, a lot of people will assume he's guilty and he will be "condenmed in public opinion" no matter what actually happened. That isn't fair. And it doesn't happen if a guy gets accused or breaking into a house. But the actual conviction rate…

It seems like most of your ideas about women come from Internet forums
/r/MensRights13/06/17 06:17 AM

How many women do you know in real life? I don't know any who spend two hours a day in front of a mirror. Most women these days have their own careers. They don't "only offer sex" in a relationship. Sex is a part of a relationship. There are plenty of women who only view men as useful for sex and don't bother with relationships.

I've never really heard the term "wealth object" before. Is that what you were referring to? When people treat you nicer when you are dressed professionally? Sorry for the confusion
/r/MensRights11/06/17 01:00 PM

How do people treat you differently in a suit? I obviously haven't experienced it, but I would think it's similar to how I get treated in a "job interview outfit" of skirt and blazer and really well put together. Just treated more respectfully by everyone, especially with customer service

However, this guy is experiencing one day of this and there's still a novelty to it. Flat out ignoring people is the best way to deal with this sort of thing on the daily. He's also wearing something that draws attention. Some men cat call women in even the most conservative of outfits.

That's more complicated though. Male immigrants tend to cause problems with sexual assault in their new countries because where they are from, a woman out alone drinking is fair game for raping. Sexual assault by single young male immigrants is very high. Plus, if you are trying to keep out extremist terrorists, those are usually single men. Taking married men and women and children refugees makes sense.

I like the line about "the radical notion that women are adults". These are the real feminists. "Men's rights feminists"=women are adults and as equally responsible for their safety, economic situation and welfare and sexual choices as men. If a woman kills someone, she's a grown ass adult and should face the consequences "Feminist feminists"=it's men's responsibility to get consent, to financially support their ex wife, and to blame when women's lives go badly. If a woman kills someone, clearly…

It's because men are astronomically more likely to have dangerous jobs. And let's be honest-dangerous jobs should pay more. Feminists should care about issues like factories in Bangladesh employing predominantly women in structures that are unsound and tend to collapse. Not the wage gap. I have made more money than all of my male friends in my inner friend circle, and more money than my male coworkers. Sometimes pay is, shockingly, dependent on your skills and work ethic and attitude rather than…

I honestly don't get it either. I've seen feminists claim "Islam is the most feminist religion there is!" But that doesn't seem to match the reality of the religion, what with the honor killings, massive prevalence of rape and keeping of sex slaves approved by the Quran In Muslim countries, the vast majority of the extremist feminist and LGBT advocates would be put to death. I think they just like to support who they see as misunderstood underdogs. Kind of like how a lot of lesbians like to adop…

So I'm your opinion, bringing up a past history of being in to BDSM is relevant if someone is claiming they were raped and had bruises and marks from the encounter. I can see how in that scenario it's not out there to state that the marks were from consensual BDSM. But that's not usually how "sexual history" is used. They like to paint victims as promiscuous morally loose women that couldn't be raped because clearly they have sex with anyone or must have really wanted it. In your situation, if a…

Saying men laugh off female attacks and get on with it certainly seems like you don't care at all about male victims of abuse. I don't think you really care about Men's Rights at all. It seems like most of your scenarios come from reading stories on the internet and not real life.

A history of consenting to sex makes it a reasonable doubt that she did consent to sex?
/r/MensRights03/06/17 05:23 PM
2

If there's no evidence beyond he said she said, then it shouldn't go to trial. One persons word of something is not enough to prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt. So what if she has fucked a guy in a toilet stall before? So what if she is a bit of a flirt? A history of sexual promiscuity doesn't make rape ok.

Trolls attack everyone for their looks. Is this guy too dumb to just have his face off camera and record audio? And Jesus Christ...domestic abuse is when you beat the absolute fuck out of them or violently rape them all the time? Sounds like he has a very black and white view of what makes up abuse and would discredit the notion entirely that men can be victims of abuse or sexual assault by women, even if these women aren't "violently beating the fuck out of them" or violently raping them regula…

Not at all. Men's Rights is about issues such as suicide rate for men being massively higher than women, yet seemingly no representation in the media or society of an epidemic issue. Or men struggling to get custody even when they are clearly the better parent option. Men's rights is not about men who have misogynistic views of women only being useful for sex. Plenty of MR supporters have wives and girlfriends and families.

No, I don't mean 3 am drunks. I mean 1 pm in the afternoon walking to my yoga class, or just walking to meet a friend for lunch. Things like "Damn girl you got a nice ass" as I walk past. If you count 3 am drunk behavior, then that would be nearly every night I've gone out gotten some form of cat call or unwanted touch, but for the most part that's just expected when people get drunk. I don't think poor behavior should be criminally penalised either. I certainly don't think all men are rapists o…

An accused person should only convicted if there is evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. He said/she said with no witnesses or evidence just cannot be beyond a reasonable doubt. A woman's previous sexual history is completely irrelevant and evidence of nothing. Fears of having to go up on a stand and be asked humiliating and personal questions stop women from reporting real rapes. I think there's a bit of a situation where women who are very eager to come forward tend to be a bit....less stable a…

I think that's part of it. Usually my experiences have been men in city centre, or groups of young looking guys driving past in cars in the suburbs who just think they are being funny It's also the norm in some countries. I can assure you it happens. It's not made up. just because you haven't seen something doesn't mean it doesn't happen. The first comment on the article brings up the notable point: this guy was watching people in a crowded area for a few hours. The guys who do inappropriate things know not to do them in front of other men, who will likely step up and say something. I don't support making new laws classifying things as a hate crime if someone's feelings get hurt, and I don't think cat calling is …

There are two posssibilities here: Your son has molested your daughter. Or Your daughter has serious emotional issues that need professional help. Taking away her phone and telling her to stop lying and only showing concern about your son is shitty parenting. If this is true, which it seems like it isn't, get the daughter to a psychiatrist

The issue with after-conception men's rights towards parenthood is so obviously skewed, i don't understand why feminists never bring it up. Isn't the assumption that men know that sex can lead to parenthood and are capable of being responsible, but women can't, an idea that accepts the premise that men are therefore superior to women? That women need to be regarded as equally responsible for their sexual choices, not less?

My first male teacher was in the sixth grade. He was a great teacher. He even let me TA for him during his prep period when it was just me and him and no other students. He did this because I was getting bullied in the class I was in at at this time and couldn't switch into another class, so he let me TA and just organise things. I had him as a teacher for three years. It's sad that nowadays this probably wouldn't be allowed to have a student alone with a male teacher, but this guy was like a se…

This sounds kind of weird. How did you know the woman was encouraging the girl to walk faster to get away from you and wasn't just pissed off you were both taking too long to cross the road? Sorry if I am misunderstanding the scenario. I was raped once, by the "so rare it basically doesn't happen" stranger situation. I feel like this is so out of touch with reality. "Tough grizzled men who fight the good fight" isn't really what 99% of men are like. Most guys I know sit in front of a computer 8+ hours a day and go home to play video games and drink craft beer. They aren't toiling away in coal mines and their life is no more full of "toughness" than a receptionists job.

They shouldn't be on the front lines with men. Gender segregation should be a thing. Human nature seem so to be when men start killing in war time, they also get rapey. This has happened in every single war in human history, so it's a safe to say it's an easy established quirk. People can't just turn off their biology.
